A peculiar and sprawling villa came into view, its unique design striking against the landscape. The tall structure was enveloped in a layer of glass, with oversized floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing luxurious interiors.
They arrived at the entrance gate, gazing at the tightly shut metal door, surrounded by an electric fence and ice sculptures that had not been cleared away. The group was taken aback.
"This must be the residence of that group's leader. Let's find a place to stay nearby!" Mu Wan said to them.
After surveying the villa area, they quickly located a spacious villa with a clear view. Once they had identified their target, they sprang into action. First, they scaled the fence to enter the villa's yard, then opened the large door from within.

Noticing some leftover coal and a heating stove in the room, they deduced that this person likely starved to death due to a lack of food.

Together, they lifted the ice sculpture out of the house and buried it in the snow. Following their usual protocol, they meticulously examined their surroundings—the terrain and optimal routes for both attack and retreat.
After thorough reconnaissance, they gained a more comprehensive understanding of their environment. Then, they tidied up inside the villa, using the remaining charcoal and stove to start a fire for warmth.
After some busy work, they gathered around the hearth, melting snow for drinking water while filtering out impurities. They silently chewed on their compressed biscuits.
Among their rations, self-heating meals were scarce; most were highly concentrated foods that were easy to carry and store.
"Big sister, do we really have to wait here indefinitely?" Mu Duo asked anxiously as she looked at Mu Wan.
"That's right; we have nowhere else to go. We can only settle here for now. Besides, they are well-equipped; perhaps they really can rescue our kin."
In the afternoon, Lin Qi and Lin Jiu returned after gathering information. They reported to Lin Tianyu that their findings were consistent with what Ji and Mu Wan had said. It seemed they had to venture into the Official Shelter.
At the Snow Wolf Base, Gao Yuan received news that Qin Hong's side was almost ready. "You need to take a group and eliminate that kid. Bring two hundred people!"
"Understood," Gao Yuan replied, acknowledging Qin Zheng's order before turning to gather his team.
