In the warehouse, Mu Wan and her companions heard a series of explosions outside, initially thinking that the enemy had finally launched an artillery attack. However, after waiting for a while, they realized that the main door had not been impacted at all, and the walls showed no signs of damage.
What’s going on? Could it be that they are not attacking us? Mu Wan furrowed her brows, filled with confusion. The others exchanged glances, equally puzzled. None of them dared to act rashly; they could only grip their automatic weapons tightly and watch their surroundings warily, passively awaiting the unfolding situation.
Meanwhile, Lin Tianyu and his group strolled leisurely into the factory. They found Xiao Sen and his team utterly devastated, torn apart and bloodied beyond recognition—a sight too gruesome to behold. With such overwhelming firepower, survival was nearly impossible for anyone.
A smirk crept onto Lin Tianyu's lips as he called out loudly to the warehouse, "Ladies inside, you can come out now! I've taken care of your enemies for you!"
Upon hearing this, Mu Wan and the others were momentarily stunned, their faces reflecting disbelief. What? Xiao Sen and his team have been wiped out? How could that be possible?
They exchanged incredulous looks, doubt clouding their eyes. He must be lying to us; we cannot fall for this! Mu Xiao said cautiously. She was filled with worry and unease; if they were truly deceived, they would surely be captured. The fate of a group of female soldiers being taken prisoner was all too easy to imagine.
Mu Wan frowned, pondering for a moment before shaking her head. It should be true; otherwise, there would be no point in lying to us. This warehouse wouldn’t withstand even a single shell.
"Wait here; I’ll go take a look," Mu Wan said firmly, determination shining in her eyes. She didn’t know what awaited her outside, but as the eldest sister, she had to bear this responsibility.
"Big sister, no!" Mu Xiao quickly urged, concern etched across her face.
"Let me go instead!" Mu Yun stepped forward as well, offering to face the danger in place of Mu Wan.
"Listen to me!" Mu Wan's voice was unwavering as she decided to investigate personally.
After speaking, Mu Wan tossed aside her rifle, took a grenade, gripped the handle, and pulled the pin. She took a deep breath and slowly stepped out of the warehouse.
The moment she stepped outside, the sight before her left her in shock. Surrounding her were the ruins of shattered buildings and a ground littered with shell casings. The air was thick with the acrid smell of gunpowder and charred debris.
"Beautiful lady, how about a little gift for our first meeting?" Lin Tianyu said with a smile, looking at her.
"Who are you? Why did you save us?" Mu Wan asked warily, eyeing the group in front of her while tightly holding onto the grenade, ready to pull the pin at any moment.
Seeing her like this, Lin Tianyu couldn't help but chuckle. "Don't be so tense, beautiful. If I really wanted to kill you, you'd be dead already. Just throw away the grenade."
Mu Wan hesitated for a moment but ultimately chose to trust Lin Tianyu and tossed the grenade aside.
Lin Tianyu nodded in satisfaction and continued, "I'm planning to attack Snow Wolf Base. We're currently short on manpower, which is why I saved you. I need your help. If you can mobilize the official military from the shelter, that would be even better."
Upon hearing this, Mu Wan's eyes widened in disbelief. "Snow Wolf Base?"
"What's wrong? Is there a problem?" Lin Tianyu asked curiously, not understanding why she was so surprised.
Taking a deep breath, Mu Wan shared what she knew with Lin Tianyu. It turned out that during her escape, she had received intel from an informant within the shelter. It was said that the person currently in control of the shelter was named Qin Hong, who also had another identity—he was the brother of Qin Zheng from Snow Wolf Base!
