"Stop hesitating. I'm not letting you all get killed. Let's sneak into the courtyard first and see what's going on, then report back to the boss," one of them said. The others could only nod helplessly.
If they were scared away by just a pile of corpses, Chen Yunsong would definitely make sure they wouldn't get any rewards when they returned. Who knows, the boss might throw them in with those who were worse off than dogs.
"Shunzi, open the lock on this iron gate," Yang Lei instructed one of the younger members. Shunzi stepped forward, his nearly numb hands fumbling with the lock, but after trying for a long time, he reported, "I can't get it open, big brother!"
"Useless! Forget it, just shoot it open. If there are too many people inside the villa, we’ll run immediately," Wang Lei said.
Just as Wang Lei and the others were trying to unlock the iron gate outside the villa, an alarm began blaring from inside.
"Warning! Unauthorized personnel approaching!"

Meanwhile, inside the villa, Lin Tianyu, Chen Lin, and Si Xue were in a room together. As the saying goes, "A beautiful night is worth a thousand gold." Naturally, this newcomer deserved some extra pampering.
After a long and intense battle, both Chen Lin and Si Xue had fallen into a deep sleep. Lin Tianyu was just about to doze off when the sharp and piercing sound of Zero's alarm echoed through the living room.
Upon hearing the noise, Lin Tianyu immediately threw off his covers, slipped on a thin robe, and rushed to the living room.
"Zero, pull up the surveillance!" he commanded.
When he saw the footage, Lin Tianyu was taken aback. "What the hell? Who's out there in the middle of the night?"
Outside the villa, Shunzi, following Wang Lei's orders, aimed his gun at the lock and fired.
Bang!
Crack!
"Ah!!!!"
Shunzi suddenly let out a heart-wrenching scream! Wang Lei and a few of his underlings were stunned, wondering what was happening.
"Dandan, Shunzi can't even speak from the pain," one of them said.
"Ah, what the hell is going on?" Wang Lei shouted, unable to make sense of what he was saying. He cursed at him.
Another underling beside Shunzi looked at the blood seeping through his pants and stammered, "It’s like he got hit by a ricochet."
"What?"
Wang Lei glanced at the intact door lock and then at the injured Shunzi. He had imagined countless possibilities, even considering that someone inside might have shot back at them, but he never thought that they hadn’t even breached the door.
At this point, anyone who wasn’t an idiot would realize they had provoked someone they couldn’t afford to mess with!
"Let’s go, hurry up!"
Wang Lei finally reacted and shouted for his underlings to run. Only Shunzi remained there, clutching his groin in agony.
Bang! Bang!
Wang Lei had barely made it three meters when he saw two of his underlings drop dead beside him in an instant! He didn’t dare stop or look back.
Bang!
Another shot rang out, tearing through Wang Lei's shoulder and hitting another underling in the head.
