Lin Tianyu smiled and then took out more than ten exquisite Bracelets from his space, addressing the group:
"As long as you wear this Bracelet, I can take you to my shelter. There are professional doctors who can help treat your injuries, and various supplies to meet your needs."
The leader of the group stared at the Bracelet in Lin Tianyu's hand, pondering to himself. He knew this might be their only way out.
Thus, he took a Bracelet and unhesitatingly put it on his ankle. Seeing this, the others followed suit, each putting on a Bracelet.
Lin Tianyu nodded in satisfaction, watching as everyone had now donned their Bracelets. He then said to them:
"Alright, now you can take me to your injured comrade. After I assess his condition, I'll lead you to my shelter."
"Sure," the leader replied and began guiding Lin Tianyu toward their hideout.
On the way to their destination, Lin Tianyu learned their story from the leader.
They had been an active Mercenary Squad in the country before the apocalypse. This time they returned home to undertake a mission to protect a crucial individual back to Dragon Country.
This small team consisted of nineteen members who had undergone strict and specialized training since childhood and had completed various challenging missions.
None of them had real names; instead, they were identified by numerical codes ranging from One to Nineteen.
In the end, due to an early mission conclusion, they began searching for necessary supplies. However, during one exploration, they accidentally stumbled into a factory where one member was ambushed and shot.
Although they were skilled fighters, carrying weapons was prohibited within the country, leaving them empty-handed!
Moreover, their opponents not only outnumbered them but were also armed with firearms and other equipment. Faced with such a stark disparity in strength, they had no choice but to flee helplessly from the scene.
The injured member suffered from severe cold and a lack of medication, causing a high fever that left him unconscious.
"Since you've chosen to follow me, let's adopt my surname Lin together. It sounds smoother that way and feels more friendly," Lin Tianyu said.
"That’s fine," Number One replied—he should say Lin Yi instead.
The group continued onward, and after walking for several minutes, they finally arrived at their hideout.
Upon opening the door, they found two people inside: one was unconscious while the other stood guard nearby. Seeing Lin Yi enter, the guard quickly asked:
"Boss, how is it?"
Lin Yi explained the situation in detail. After listening, the person showed no hesitation and immediately said, "Alright, from now on, I am Lin Shisan. Please hand me the leader's Bracelet."
Lin Tianyu nodded and handed over the Bracelet. Then he addressed the group, "You all need to move quickly. Take this injured brother and follow me; we need to get him treated as soon as possible!"
With that, he turned and walked out of the room. The others quickly sprang into action, carefully lifting their unconscious companion and following closely behind Lin Tianyu.
"Do you have any means of transportation?" Lin Tianyu asked them.
"No, we can't use cars in this snow, and Snowmobiles are quite rare. We haven't managed to gather any," Lin Yi replied, scratching his head in frustration.
"Alright, let me help you with that." With a wave of his hand, several brand new military Snowmobiles appeared before them.
Lin Yi and the people behind him stared in awe, their mouths agape for a long moment.
