"What’s wrong, brother?" the Leader paused, looking at Lin Tianyu with confusion. "I really can’t return this gun to you for the sake of my safety and that of my brothers."
"I’m not asking for the gun back," Lin Tianyu quickly explained.
"Then what do you mean?" the Leader furrowed his brow.
Lin Tianyu continued, "I want to ask if you mentioned someone getting injured earlier?"
"Yes," the Leader replied upon hearing Lin Tianyu's question.
"I have a doctor, medicine, and medical equipment here that can help treat your injured comrade," Lin Tianyu said.
The Leader's expression changed instantly to one of excitement upon hearing Lin Tianyu's words. He tightly grasped Lin Tianyu's shoulders and shook him, asking, "Are you serious? Do you really have these things?"
"Yes! But could you let go of me? It hurts!" Lin Tianyu exclaimed, feeling as if his shoulder might be crushed by the Leader's grip.
Realizing his mistake, the Leader quickly released his hold and said, "Sorry, I got too excited."
Lin Tianyu moved his shoulder around to relieve the soreness and thought to himself, These people are definitely not ordinary survivors. From their earlier performance, they not only have good skills but are also very familiar with firearms; they might even have received professional training. If I can win them over, they would undoubtedly become a powerful asset.
With this in mind, Lin Tianyu decided to test their attitude. He spoke up, "I do have those things, and I can provide you with a warm place to stay and enough food. However—"
He paused deliberately, observing the other’s expression.
Sure enough, when the Leader heard about food, his eyes lit up but then quickly turned wary as he asked, "However what?"
Lin Tianyu smiled slightly and continued, "But you must work for me from now on."
The Leader was taken aback by this. Their two biggest challenges at the moment were treating their injured comrade and lacking food. They hadn’t eaten in several days; while they weren’t afraid of death, they couldn’t just watch their injured companion die without timely treatment.
"How can we trust you?" the Leader Man asked hesitantly.
Lin Tianyu smiled and replied, "Do you have any other choice? You can either starve or come with me."
"Take a look at this," he said, a mysterious smile playing on his lips as he pulled out a box of anti-inflammatory medicine from thin air.
The group was stunned, their faces filled with shock and confusion. Just moments ago, they had thoroughly checked Lin Tianyu and confirmed that he was not carrying any medication. Where did this medicine come from?
"If I’m not mistaken, your injured companion is in critical condition. Without professional medical treatment, it will be difficult for him to recover with just these ordinary medicines," Lin Tianyu said calmly, looking at them.
Hearing this, the leader's expression changed slightly. He knew Lin Tianyu was right. Although they had tried some basic methods to treat the wound, the results were far from satisfactory.
Now, with Lin Tianyu suddenly producing precious medicine, a glimmer of hope sparked within them.
"You're right. I don't know how you did it, but if you can truly save our companion, we are willing to do anything for you," the Leader Man hesitated for a moment before ultimately deciding to seek Lin Tianyu's help.
