Wang Jian was momentarily taken aback, a hint of confusion and surprise crossing his face. "Is he really Lin Tianyu?" he thought. He turned to Xu Qingqing beside him, his tone laced with skepticism. "Didn’t you say this guy never leaves his house?"
The others stood still, watching their leader without daring to make a move.
Wang Jian fell into deep thought, his gaze fixed on Lin Tianyu, the words Xu Qingqing had said echoing in his mind. Doubts began to creep in about the reliability of her claims; according to her, even if the world were to end, Lin Tianyu would never step out of his door!
"Brother Wang, that's Lin Tianyu! Hurry up and kill him!" Xu Qingqing urged anxiously, a glimmer of tension in her eyes.
"I swear it's all true! If I dare lie to you, do whatever you want with me!" Xu Qingqing reiterated emphatically.
Wang Jian glanced at Su Liyue beside him and thought to himself: Regardless of whether it's true or not, this stunning beauty in front of me is definitely not someone I can let slip away! I need to secure her first!
Ergouzi stepped forward with a crowbar, approaching Su Liyue. "Hey girl, my brother has taken a liking to you. Why not stick with him?"
Su Liyue didn’t even glance at them.
Seeing Su Liyue’s disregard, Ergouzi was about to charge at her. "You little brat, you think you're too good for us?"
At that moment, Lin Tianyu spoke up, his voice icy cold. "You pathetic fools better get lost."
Wang Jian's anger flared at Lin Tianyu's arrogance. "You think you're tough? Kill him!"
With that command, his brothers pulled out their knives, ready to teach Lin Tianyu a lesson.
However, just then, Lin Tianyu swiftly drew a revolver from thin air, the dark muzzle aimed directly at them.
Bang!
A gunshot rang out!
The bullet whizzed out, leaving a hole in Ergouzi's forehead, blood gushing forth as he stared in shock at Lin Tianyu, before collapsing to the ground.
A gun?
Wang Jian and the others widened their eyes, terror etched on their faces. They never expected Lin Tianyu to have a gun!
Wang Jian felt his legs go weak and he knelt down.
Misunderstanding, it’s a misunderstanding, big brother!
As he knelt, the dozen or so underlings behind him also went weak in the knees, dropping to the ground in a flurry.
Big brother, father, dear father, please spare us! We know we were wrong. We promise we won't offend you again. We have no grievances with you; please show mercy and let us go!
Lin Tianyu had initially intended to eliminate all of them but suddenly changed his mind. These people were brought by Xu Qingqing; perhaps he could use them to teach her a lesson. Keeping that woman around was just to torment her, after all.
So he mockingly said, "Get lost. Xu Qingqing brought you trash here to die; killing you would be a waste of my bullets."
Upon hearing this, the group felt as if they had been granted a reprieve. They nodded vigorously, bowing and expressing their gratitude with tears in their eyes.
"Thank you, father! We'll leave right away!" With that, they scrambled away from the scene in a hurry.
