"Wait, Tiger Brother, please hold on. I have important news to tell you," Kong Hao exclaimed in a panic.
"What news?" Liu Dahu asked.
"Aren't you injured? If your wounds aren't treated promptly, they could easily get infected," Kong Hao replied.
"I know where there's a doctor, and it's a pair of twin female doctors!"
Upon hearing the words "twin female doctors," Liu Dahu immediately ordered Left Ear Stud to stop attacking.
He thought to himself: Twin female doctors, huh? That sounds promising.
At that moment, Liu Dahu truly needed a doctor. He was injured in multiple places and could barely move. His wounds had only been roughly bandaged and had not been disinfected. If it weren't for the current cold weather, he might have already lost his life. Finding a doctor would not only provide treatment but also alleviate some of his pain.
Moreover, just the thought of those twin female doctors filled Liu Dahu with anticipation and excitement. These two girls were twins and skilled in medicine; if he could recruit them under his command, it would be a wonderful thing. Lost in thought, a smile unconsciously crept onto Liu Dahu's lips.
"Tell me where they are. As long as you cooperate, I might consider letting you go," Liu Dahu said slowly, a sly look crossing his face.
"Yes, but if you dare to deceive me, I'll skin you alive!" Liu Dahu's tone shifted as his gaze turned fierce, as if he were ready to devour them.
"I-I’m not lying! I just hope you can spare us!" Kong Hao trembled in fear, kneeling with his hands clasped together in prayer.
Seeing this reaction, Liu Dahu felt a surge of satisfaction, realizing that his threats were effective. He continued to press: "Hurry up and tell me; don't dawdle!"
Kong Hao was terrified and quickly revealed Shen Weiwei's address: "They live at Building Number."
"I’ve told you everything; can we go now? Killing us won’t do you any good," Kong Hao said nervously as he looked at Liu Dahu, hoping the other party would keep their promise.
"Get lost!" Liu Dahu waved his hand impatiently, signaling for Kong Hao to leave quickly.
Hearing this, Kong Hao felt as if he had received a pardon and scrambled away in a hurry.
At that moment, Shen Weiwei had just returned home, shivering from the cold as she hurried into bed to warm up. The weather outside was unbearably cold, making her shudder involuntarily.
Shen Weiwei trembled as she reached for a cookie from the bedside cabinet and broke it in half, handing one piece to Shen Xiaoxiao while comforting her: "Xiao Xiao, eat something. We should still have enough food to last us a few more days."
Shen Xiaoxiao nodded numbly and took the cookie, chewing mechanically. She knew deep down that this might be their last reserve of food.
Just then, a sudden knock on the door shattered the silence in the room.
"Who is it?" Shen Weiwei and Shen Xiaoxiao exclaimed in terror, their screams echoing in the room. They exchanged a glance, both seeing the fear reflected in each other's eyes.
In a flurry, they hurriedly put on their heavy down jackets, trembling as they took cautious steps toward the security door. Shen Weiwei leaned closer to the peephole, peering outside.
What she saw made her heart plummet. The corridor was filled with a group of thugs wielding hammers, baseball bats, and other weapons.
With menacing expressions, they were violently banging on her family's door.
"Dr. Shen, we need you to treat us! Open the door quickly!" The thugs shouted fiercely from outside.
Upon hearing those words, Shen Weiwei and Shen Xiaoxiao's faces turned pale. They realized that these intruders meant trouble.
