Suddenly, the sky turned ominously dark, as if shrouded by a thick layer of black clouds.
Then, a fierce wind roared in like a ferocious beast, sweeping through with bone-chilling snow, wreaking havoc across the land. The force of the wind was so strong that it seemed ready to tear everything apart, producing sharp, piercing sounds that sent shivers down one’s spine.
Heavy snowflakes fell from the gray sky in a flurry, growing larger and denser by the moment. This sudden snowfall left people shocked and bewildered. What should have been a hot season was now blanketed in cold ice and snow.
Standing by the window and gazing outside, Lin Tianyu found his view completely obscured by the white snow, making it nearly impossible to see anything. The world beyond the window had transformed into a blurry haze. He couldn’t help but lament how insignificant humanity was in the face of natural disasters!
It was like an ant encountering a human; an ant could do no harm, while a person could easily crush it without a second thought!
“Zero, what’s the indoor temperature now?”
“Currently, the indoor temperature is set to a comfortable degree for you!”
Zero was the name Lin Tianyu had given to his intelligent system. The heater was connected to a cooling system, allowing him to adjust the indoor temperature at any time with just his voice!
Lin Tianyu looked at the heater and felt a sense of reassurance wash over him. He vowed to be more laid-back in this life!
Instead of going to sleep, Lin Tianyu decided to continue observing the situation. After about ten minutes, he noticed that a thick layer of snow had already accumulated outside.
He picked up his phone and checked the official news. With such a commotion, there were bound to be many discussions online about this event. When he opened the website, he found that his expectations were met; the comment section was filled with lamentations. Some complained: “What kind of weather is this? Why has it suddenly turned into winter?”
Others were frantic: “Ahhh! I still have a blind date to go to!”
Various voices flooded the comment section. Everyone seemed to think it was just unusual weather; no one considered other possibilities!
What they didn’t know was that this was just the beginning. This kind of weather would persist!
In this frigid apocalypse, both the ugliness and kindness of human nature began to reveal themselves continuously. The snow kept falling heavier, and the temperature continued to drop. Lin Tianyu glanced at the outdoor temperature before turning back to check the indoor temperature again.
Hmm. It feels a bit warm in here.
Outside, the heavy snow continued to fall relentlessly.
Lin Tianyu lay lazily on the comfortable sofa, feeling a bit hungry. He took out some top-quality red wine, Romanée-Conti, and a few fine steaks from his space, eating while reminiscing about Versailles.
This damn post-apocalyptic life.
