Midnight struck once again, but this time, unlike before, the little girl had merged with the Rag Doll, transforming into a towering monster over three meters tall. The creature radiated an overwhelming aura of resentment, surrounded by a shroud of black mist. The game's difficulty had escalated to Hell Mode. As it emerged, it exuded a menacing presence; with each step it took, the ground trembled slightly, and a low growl emanated from its mouth, as if announcing the arrival of doom for those present.
In the opening moments, it swiftly dispatched three students who barely had time to react. With a single swipe of its massive claws, they were sent flying, crashing heavily to the ground, blood splattering everywhere, and silence fell instantly.
The remaining three students now faced dire circumstances. Trembling in fear at the sight of the horrifying monster, their legs felt as heavy as lead; they wanted to run but found themselves frozen in place.
The monster seized Xiao Shuai, lifting him high into the air. He struggled desperately, flailing his arms in an attempt to break free, but it was futile. The creature then opened its gaping maw and let out a chilling laugh that echoed like something from hell.
With a casual toss, Xiao Shuai was hurled away like a discarded rag doll, crashing heavily onto the ground before being declared out of the game.
Next, the monster set its sights on the beautiful Xiao Fang. Her face turned pale with terror as tears welled in her eyes. She turned to flee, but the monster was too fast; it crawled toward her with astonishing speed and caught up in an instant, pinning her down with its enormous claws, rendering her immobile.
The monster began to toy with Xiao Fang mercilessly—lifting her up only to slam her down again. She cried out in pain, but no one was there to save her. Ultimately, she became prey for the monster; the horrific scene nearly shattered the remaining survivors.
At that moment, Huizi found herself forced to climb onto a pipe. Clinging tightly to it while trembling uncontrollably, she stared at the monster in terror.
With a deafening roar from the creature, Huizi jumped in fright and lost her grip on the pipe. She fell from the height of the building and met her demise. As she plummeted, countless memories flashed through her mind—moments spent with her classmates and despair over the terrifying curse. Finally, with a loud thud, she hit the ground and breathed her last.
Time returned once more to the morning of July 5th. Strangely enough, Xiao Fang had vanished without a trace; her seat was empty and there was no sign of her at home—as if she had never existed at all. A sense of foreboding washed over everyone.
Huizi suddenly recalled that only Xiao Fang had been consumed by the monster last night. This meant that being eaten by it now signified true death—no longer just a cycle as before.
Panic began to set in among the group. This was no longer a game; it felt like a fight for their lives. Fear and despair were etched on every face, and they were at a loss for what to do.
It was clear now that if they wanted to survive, they had to find the little girl's head as quickly as possible.
At that moment, Huizi, who remained calm, stood deep in thought. Her brow furrowed as she rapidly replayed the details of what had happened earlier in her mind.
She suddenly recalled the time they discovered the Rag Doll hidden within the walls of the haunted house. It had been moved shortly after their discovery, and its appearance and disappearance were too suspicious.
Clearly, this Rag Doll was closely related to the head; perhaps the head was hidden inside it, or finding the Rag Doll would lead them to clues about the head's whereabouts.
Thinking back to the scene where someone drowned, she remembered how the doll's head sank first. At that moment, she found it odd, but now it made sense—there must have been something heavy inside it, possibly even the girl's head.
The more Huizi thought about it, the more convinced she became that this was a possibility, and a glimmer of hope ignited within her.
Having a goal meant having direction.
So, the group set up a series of domino-like traps in the classroom. They cleverly arranged desks, chairs, books, and various other items so that when the monster triggered the first point of contact, it would set off a chain reaction. They anxiously awaited the monster's arrival, hoping to trap it without escape.
However, before they could finish their preparations, the monster suddenly dropped from above and landed right in the middle of the classroom. The tremendous impact sent desks and chairs flying in all directions. The five of them were caught off guard. "I'll kill you, you bastard!" someone shouted in frustration, though fear filled their hearts.
As Cuihua found herself in imminent danger, the monster lunged at her with its gaping maw. Terrified, Cuihua shut her eyes and screamed in despair.
At that critical moment, Smart Guy, in a selfless act of heroism to save the damsel in distress, threw caution to the wind. Ignoring his fear, he gritted his teeth and lifted a heavy iron box beside him, smashing it against the monster's arm. With a loud clang, the box struck the creature, causing it to stagger back a few steps. This unexpected attack successfully freed Cuihua from its grasp.
