Axiang realized that things were going terribly wrong and immediately took off running. However, the Zombies transformed into ghostly figures, floating in the air and relentlessly pursuing Axiang. He ran, they chased; it felt like he had wings but couldn't fly.
He sprinted to the end of the street, but what lay before him left him dumbfounded—a bottomless abyss.
As the camera pulled back, it revealed that this desolate area was actually a sky city.
With the ghosts closing in, Axiang hurriedly ducked into a residential building. After navigating through the hallway, he found himself confronted by countless fragmented staircases. The ghosts were right behind him, forcing Axiang to grit his teeth and descend. He ended up in a chillingly eerie building.
Inside, there were not only lifeless residents but also barking mad dogs. The most terrifying sight was a masked Red-Dressed Little Girl, surrounded by horrifying Monsters and Demons.
Axiang desperately fled the building, only to find himself in a place resembling an amusement park. This area was equally dilapidated; the Ferris wheel and pirate ship echoed with silence instead of laughter, filled only with endless desolation and strangeness.
Suddenly, Axiang spotted an elderly man who appeared relatively normal sitting nearby. She approached him to ask where this place was, but the old man pulled out some crumpled paper from his pocket.
It turned out that this was a forgotten world where everything created and abandoned by humanity ended up in a space called "The Strange." In this cycle of dissolution and recreation, even characters and plots Axiang had once created were trapped here.
At that moment, the old man sensed something unusual behind him. The buildings around them began to gradually dissolve. He urged Axiang to flee quickly; otherwise, she would vanish along with them.
But before Axiang could take a step, she turned around and found herself in a terrifying forest.
It was pitch dark here, enveloped in eerie silence. Countless hanging enthusiasts dangled from the trees. Even more horrifying was what happened next: as Axiang intruded into this realm, the Hanged Ghosts began to revive and closed in on her from all directions.
As the saying goes, "When friends come from afar, they must be exterminated."
It seemed that the Hanged Ghosts were not welcoming Axiang's arrival. One of them insisted on pulling Axiang aside to share some cheesy lines, but instead of just saying them, he had to scare her a little.
Just as Axiang was about to become their next meal, a sudden creaking sound echoed nearby. The ghosts appeared frightened, and in an instant, the once menacing Hanged Ghosts turned into timid creatures, fleeing in all directions.
The Red-Dressed Little Girl reappeared, waving at Axiang with seemingly no ill intentions. Soon after, Axiang found herself riding on the girl's Mount, racing through the forest—it was exhilarating.
The girl led Axiang to another eerie space where they sat on an abandoned train surrounded by countless discarded toys.
Axiang asked about the girl's identity, and she slowly removed her mask.
"I don't even know myself. I have no name or title. What is this place? Why are so many people blocking my way? This is a forgotten place. Yes, anything you no longer want will remain here—things that will never disappear no matter what you do."
It seemed that this little girl had also been discarded to end up here, and she could tell that Axiang did not belong to this world.
Axiang inquired if she knew a way to escape, but the girl only mentioned a place called Agency Station, said to lead back to the human world, though she didn't know its exact location.
At that moment, the objects around them began to fade away gradually. They quickly took off running as if racing against death itself.
The winds howled around them, and it felt like the world might collapse at any second.
Fortunately, they managed to find safety in a tunnel under the girl's guidance.
Afterward, the girl brought Axiang to a library where the old man they had encountered earlier was also present.
Upon learning the intentions of the two, the old man took an ancient book from the bookshelf, which contained the route and strategies to reach Agency Station.
He then handed a Name Paper to Axiang, saying it would be useful on their journey, and urged them to set off quickly.
Before long, they arrived at their first stop. Countless ghosts were coming and going on a stone bridge. If they guessed correctly, this should be the legendary Bridge of Helplessness.
The girl reminded Axiang to hold his breath while crossing the bridge; otherwise, if the ghosts caught his scent, it would mean certain death.
With that, the two cautiously stepped onto the Bridge of Helplessness.
At first, everything went smoothly; the ghosts were oblivious to their presence. However, as the bridge gradually narrowed, they dared not disturb the spirits and had to step carefully on the adjacent stone pillars. Unfortunately, Axiang slipped unexpectedly.
He quickly covered his mouth, but it was clearly too late. All the Undead turned in unison to look at him, and the densely packed corpses on the bridge slowly began to approach him as if they had just spotted food.
