He took off his clothes and placed them in the Soul Ring, glancing at the position of the sun. Gu felt that he should not deny it; he had to climb over before sunset.
He rolled up his pant legs and stepped into the water, startling the fish in the river, which darted away in all directions. Gu Xiao laughed, wondering if Yoyo was still pestering him to catch fish for her. He couldn't help but think about what lay ahead and quickened his pace. However, just as he reached the eastern side of the waterfall, before he could steady himself, he was swept away by the rushing water.
Gu climbed back up in the river, his expression serious as he looked at the waterfall before him. He couldn't figure out how to ascend the wall of cascading water known as the Broken Wall.
Even the powerful Shattered Seal Spirit couldn't stop him; how could a mere waterfall hinder his progress? Gu chose to try again. This time, he didn't rush into the eastern side of the waterfall. Instead, he cautiously stepped in and waited until he felt stable before moving his other foot.
With a determined punch, he struck his fist against the rocks of the waterfall. It was perhaps the simplest method, but it was also the most practical one he could think of. He began to climb, creating a hole with each punch.
This time was different from when he first climbed the Broken Wall; he didn't disturb any Wind Birds. Water birds naturally wouldn't build their nests in water but rather at the top of waterfalls, using branches to construct large nests.
By the time Gu reached the top of the waterfall, the sun had completely set. He followed the fading light of dusk and saw a massive nest floating on the water's surface like a small mountain. Gu had never imagined seeing such a huge bird's nest; it shimmered with a blue glow before him, leaving him utterly stunned.
Each water bird was about the size of a palm, similar to Wind Birds or Thunderbirds. Those animals that existed at the bottom of the food chain usually built their nests on cliffs, but water birds were different; they preferred water and built their nests where there was plenty of it. At that moment, Gu finally understood that even those with seemingly little power could possess immense strength.
But what should he do now? The large nest clearly blocked his path, and with darkness approaching, he had no means to navigate without light. He couldn't disturb Ren He while trying to cross over that water nest.
Should he force his way through? That was clearly not a wise choice. Should he take a detour? Gu looked around for options but realized it would take too long to circumvent that massive water nest. If only Yoyo were here; riding on her back would allow him to easily bypass it.

He couldn't let everyone wait for him for more than three days; if it extended beyond that, hope for survival outside Flowing Cloud Realm would become exceedingly slim.
Tomorrow, tomorrow he would disregard the initial time limit he had set for himself. After tomorrow, no matter how far he progressed or to what extent, he would seek out others. Even if he couldn't gain the recognition of the Spirit Tribe, it didn't matter anymore. At worst, they would all be trapped in the Flowing Cloud Realm. At this moment, he felt a sense of reckless abandon, leaving himself no escape route.
With these thoughts in mind, his feet moved swiftly, darting from one water nest to another as he raced toward the edge of the water nests. With a few leaps, he soared into the air, startling more and more water birds that launched an attack against him. Initially, he didn't perceive any threat from their assaults.
In less than a minute, he felt as if he were submerged in an ocean, unable to move an inch. Clutching his chest with his left hand, he once again drew his left leg into the Yin Yang Canopy and activated his Dao Foundation, channeling all his Light Spirit Power to unleash Radiant Flame.
The senior sister in the east sensed that immense surge of Light Spirit Power once more. It was reminiscent of what she had felt after escaping from the wolf pack, but this time it was even more pronounced. Although it wasn't as vast as before, the quality of this explosion was clearly superior; the spiritual energy had become more concentrated. It seemed Ming Gu had grown stronger.
Feeling that surge of Light Spirit Power erupting forth, Azure Bull was rendered speechless. Perhaps even the Demon Spirit from the Divine Period couldn't mobilize such vast spiritual energy. No wonder that guy could defeat the Shattered Seal Spirit; he truly was a freak of nature.
Light shone like midday sun, illuminating half of Spirit Home. Even the sunset on the horizon lost its color for a moment. Azure Bull realized that those water birds could no longer impede that human's progress. Suddenly curious, Azure Bull wondered what kind of force could nurture such a genius.
Finally, Azure Bull had to admit that Gu was indeed a prodigy. Whether in cultivation or battle, it was unclear if Gu was learning with an innate advantage or if it was something he had fought hard to achieve—one being earned and the other being a natural gift.
