Gu Ping felt used. The Shattered Seal Spirit had created those spatial barriers not just with effort but also at the cost of Gu Ping's own stamina. By leveraging Gu Ping's power, the spirit had made the space incredibly unstable. When it first struck, shattering the space, the Shattered Seal Spirit let out a triumphant laugh.
Gasping, Gu Ping realized that a wound had appeared on his neck without him noticing, smooth and clean like the stone that had been cut by the Shattered Seal Spirit earlier. After a while, gray blood tinged with light began to flow from Gu Ping's injury.
The unusual scent of Liquid Chuang reached the Shattered Seal Spirit's nostrils, causing its flaring nostrils to twitch greedily, as if it had spotted the most delicious food in Tian Di Dong. The Shattered Seal Spirit did not deny its desire; it wanted to defeat Gu Ping easily and see him as prey, yearning to consume him.
Consuming Gu Ping would make it immensely powerful. This thought echoed incessantly in the Shattered Seal Spirit's mind, and it grew increasingly impatient.
Gu Ping wiped the blood from his neck and looked at the gray liquid on his leg, shaking his head unconsciously. He wondered if he could still be considered an individual; even his blood was not red but gray, likely a manifestation of spiritual energy. In that light, he was merely a moving reservoir of spiritual power, indistinguishable from a human aside from his appearance.
Just as Gu Ping was lost in thought, the Shattered Seal Spirit attacked again. Unlike before, when it had calmly plotted against him, now it seemed eager to engage in close combat, abandoning its hard-won advantage to confront Gu Ping directly.
This was something Gu Ping never expected: a demon spirit that leaned towards spellcasting suddenly wanting to settle things in melee combat. Its misplaced confidence had clearly driven it mad.
Gu Ping quickly realized that the Shattered Seal Spirit had indeed lost its sanity. In its frenzy to attack, it left itself vulnerable, recklessly assaulting him without regard for defense. Each swipe of its claws tore through the space around Gu Ping, compressing any room he had left to evade.
Even though it had lost its mind, this reckless aggression gave Gu Ping a severe headache. With nowhere left to dodge, he had no choice but to grab hold of the Shattered Seal Spirit's claws with both legs.
The claws pressed down slowly towards him until they were nearly touching his face. The Shattered Seal Spirit cackled with glee; in its eyes, Gu Ping was already dead. He could see countless eyes on that creature’s head narrowing into slits, sending chills down his spine.
As the claws made contact with Gu Ping's face, a gash opened up on his cheek, and gray blood dripped down like rain, causing the Shattered Seal Spirit's eyes to turn a deep crimson.
Before he could finish his words, he sensed the power of Gu Ping. Suddenly, his right leg, which was gripping his claw, erupted with immense strength, propelling him backward. In an instant, that human vanished from before him.
The Shattered Seal Spirit struggled in the air, desperately trying to regain control over its body, but no matter how hard it tried, it was futile. Behind it came the overwhelming pull of Liquid Chuang, making it impossible for the Shattered Seal Spirit to escape that terrifying force. Surrounding debris and leaves began to fly toward that direction. Where was that human?
Gu Ping Ci stood at the entrance of the Shattered Seal Spirit's cave, gasping for breath. The Shattered Seal Spirit was too powerful; even with the energy of Evil Spirit, it could not compare to Gu Ping. However, Gu Ping could not sustain this for long. If I don't deny it, at that critical moment when he lost his sanity for some unknown reason, Gu Ping would have no way to stabilize the space and trap the Shattered Seal Spirit within the Spatial Rift.
At that moment, the Shattered Seal Spirit struggled as it was drawn into the Spatial Rift. It finally realized what Gu Ping had done—taking advantage of its moment of madness to tear apart the space behind it. Initially, a powerful attack shattered the entire area; when that fractured space began to repair itself, it generated a tremendous gravitational pull that dragged it into the Spatial Rift. It truly was a case of "what goes around comes around."
Soon, the Spatial Rift would completely heal. Aside from the sand and fallen leaves that had disappeared from the ground, everything else remained unchanged, as if nothing had ever happened.
The Azure Bull and Spirit Cat on the eastern side suddenly spoke in disbelief: The aura of Forgiveness has vanished.
