Cleaned up an entire tunnel of zombies, absorbed a tremendous amount of spiritual power, already exceeding ten thousand. If all of it is converted into warrior soul to upgrade soul power, reaching level ten should be enough. Even if it's not enough, it won't be far off.
At the end of the tunnel is a right-angled turn, from which emanates a more terrifying roar. The voice is extremely powerful, sounding even stronger than the average zombie. Since it's called The Temple of the Demon King, it's very likely the voice of the Corpse King.
Chi Hao has left The Temple of the Demon King and returned to the Temporary warehouse because only here can he slowly convert his spiritual power into soul power.
There is no concept of time in the abandoned mine shaft, so the current time can only be calculated based on the countdown of the Task scroll. There is a little over a day left in the three-day countdown, and the Task was received around 4:30 in the afternoon. It is currently around 1 o'clock, so there is still plenty of time for the Task.
Rested for two hours in the Temporary warehouse, warrior soul finally reached level two. It will take one thousand soul power to reach level three, but it can be achieved in just over five hours at the Temporary warehouse. Returning to the Temple of the Demon King, the purified tunnel once again coalesces a few zombies, but for Chi Hao, it's not a difficult task. He is very familiar with the behavior patterns of zombies and easily deals with the scattered zombies.
At the turn, there is another dense group of zombies. He lures them all out, fights and retreats at the door, and clears them out in a couple of hours. Soon, he will be able to see the big boss.
tunnel no longer has ordinary zombies. Walking around the corner, a huge coffin appears at the end of tunnel, guarded by the blood-red Nine-headed Corpse King, who looks to be over two meters tall.
With ferocious fangs and a menacing appearance, the Corpse King is clearly a powerful monster. They are standing far apart from each other, theoretically allowing for them to be defeated one by one.
So Chi Hao slowly approached one of them until it noticed him.
Corpse King roared to the sky, emitting a deafening sound wave, possibly echoing loudly in the tunnel.
Corpse King glared angrily, its ten fingers clawing towards Chi Hao... running... no, walking over, yes, walking, each step perfectly placed, as if a king approaching his most loyal servant.
Chi Hao was puzzled, unsure if Corpse King was really that slow, or if it was just being leisurely because it looked down on itself. Perhaps, once it got closer, it would act like a regular zombie, with a pouncing motion. So Chi Hao waited in place, ready for anything.
Corpse King approached closer, without the expected pounce, it slowly raised its right hand, like a slap, and struck towards Chi Hao's head. This kind of attack only required lowering the head, but it was too late.
Corpse King's movements were indeed slow, but its attack was exceptionally fast.
Lowering his head was no longer enough to completely avoid the attack, it was too late. Chi Hao reflexively raised his knife and used his left hand to block Corpse King's attack with the blade.
With a loud bang, Chi Hao was sent flying horizontally, crashing into the cave wall and sliding to the ground.
This power, at least twenty points, both hands are sore, head buzzing, and the surroundings are appearing blurry. Almost knocked out cold.
Thankfully, the zombie moves slowly, otherwise I would have been sent back to the city for free. Chi Hao used the last of his strength to drag his body away from the Corpse King, trying to buy more time to recover.
Shortly after, Chi Hao took a deep breath, shook his head, and finally recovered. Corpse King approached again, raising his right hand to prepare for another attack. This time, Chi Hao seized the opportunity, retreating as soon as he saw Corpse King raise his hand to a certain height, causing Corpse King's attack to miss. After a few attempts, it seemed that Corpse King only knew how to claw, and the stiffness after the attack was not short, which made it easier to handle.
After dodging the attack of the Corpse King once again, I dashed half a step to the left and slashed across the Corpse King's waist. With a splutter, a long gash was opened from the belly to the lower back of the Corpse King. Chi Hao once again felt the importance of basic attributes. If his strength attribute was a few points higher, he could definitely have cut through the Corpse King instead of just opening a gash.
The Corpse King let out a monstrous cry, a mix of rage and pain, then turned and raised its left hand, preparing to attack. Chi Hao was prepared, and he stepped back half a step to avoid the attack, then struck the Corpse King's thigh with a backhand slash, but it also didn't cause much damage to the Corpse King.
Chi Hao needs to Concentrate to dodge the attacks of the Corpse King, because there is no room for error. Once hit, there is a high chance of being instantly killed. This kind of intense battle is much more exhausting than fighting small monsters.
In less than ten minutes, I feel mentally exhausted. It's very difficult to concentrate again. Chi Hao couldn't help but sigh once again, wishing for higher basic attributes.

After dodging the attack of Corpse King, Chi Hao seized the opportunity to deliver two more strikes to the heavily injured leg of Corpse King, completely severing it and causing Corpse King to fall to the ground. Moving in, Chi Hao delivered two more strikes to Corpse King's neck, decapitating him. Corpse King twitched a few times before finally becoming still.
Chi Hao breathed a sigh of relief, finally resolving the situation. He quickly opened the Personal profile panel to see his gains. Wow, 800 points of spiritual power, plus eight more inside, what a windfall. The temptation of Corpse King was immense, and it was not easy to kill him. His current condition was not suitable for continuing the battle. He needed to go back, rest, and recover his strength and spirit. It would also be a good time to think about how to fight more easily and kill Corpse King.
Two hours later, Chi Hao returned to The Temple of the Demon King once again. After dealing with scattered zombies, he attracted a Corpse King. After optimizing the combat method, it only took seven minutes to defeat this Corpse King. Feeling like resting for a while, he could kill another one.
In his mind, he replayed the battles with the Corpse King twice, figuring out how to avoid more effectively and how to attack to cause more damage to the Corpse King. Killing the third Corpse King took even less time, only five minutes.
Chi Hao's physical and mental strength were completely depleted, so he went back to the temporary warehouse to rest. Perhaps he was exhausted, as he fell asleep not long after. The next day, his entity had already reached level four, and his warrior soul was close to reaching level four, having reached level three.
