Ying City In the early morning, hope fills the air, a hope that the new day will bring opportunities, that one can enjoy a life of abundance, and that future generations will live prosperous lives. For many, Ying City is a beautiful city, a symbol of a good life. Throughout their lives, they yearn to find a job in Ying City, hoping to no longer worry about their livelihood. 0

In her attic, looking at the rising Red Moon, Zhang Chenyu suddenly felt that Ying City was not as bad as she had imagined. After all, many people dream of coming to a place where the sun shines on golden palaces, a place everyone strives to enter. 0

Perhaps she should forget what that person said last night—that she and he were different, completely different. It was just a chance encounter that brought them together for a brief moment. In a few days, he would leave, and she would never see him again. 0

They were like strangers who met but did not know each other; from then on, they would be mere passersby. 0

Perhaps that was how it was for people like him and her—one was a legend of the day, the other a pawn of the land. The heavens cannot speak the same language as the earth; how much less could two people from different worlds understand each other? 0

The lamp on her desk had burned all night, but the gentle morning breeze extinguished the flame. Zhang Chenyu knew she should not expect that flame to keep burning forever; when it was time to go out, it should simply be allowed to die. 0

She smiled as she saw Yoyo rush out from the courtyard early in the morning. Zhang Chenyu knew that little fox could hardly contain its excitement, just like a child who loved to play. Even though there were only a few days left, it never felt wrong; perhaps she had simply grown accustomed to it. 0

"Miss, the master sent me to invite you for breakfast." 0

"Understood, I will come." 0

Turning around the corner, she bumped into Zhang Chenyu. Seeing her somewhat lost expression, he shook his head. He would no longer think like a young person who worried about gains and losses. 0

"What am I shaking my head for? That person... really?" Zhang Chenyu's eyes turned red. 0

"The College Entrance Examination is in four days. I wonder what Prince Xin and Prince Yong will do?" He changed the subject. Whether or not Zhang Chenyu married Prince Yong, he thought it made sense; regardless of the outcome, it would at least prevent that girl he had just met from feeling disappointed. That alone would be enough. 0

"Why bother with that? It's the final exam, and I haven't even looked at my books!" 0

"Didn't I already see him? Why do I want to see him again? I don't deny it; maybe I just haven't had enough of the real experience with Yi Dong?" 0

The two of them joked as they walked into the dining hall, only to find a man in a flowing robe walking between the tables, chatting with Zhang Shoujing as if they were family. But if he were truly family, why would he be wearing such a robe? It seemed more like a show of power. 0

"What’s going on over there?" Zhang Chenyu asked, puzzled by the young man's presence. 0

"Be polite; this is Bu Luo coming to see Prince Yong," Zhang Shoujing reprimanded. 0

"I have met Prince Yong. I wish Prince Yong good health, and I also wish Prince Xin good health. Please, Prince Yong, convey my regards to Prince Xin." He bowed to Prince Yong, looking as if he knew what had happened last night but was unsure about the situation at Jingzhao Mansion. 0

"Oh, my dear brother, I'll certainly pass on your words." 0

"Who are you calling my dear brother? You really have no shame!" Zhang Chenyu muttered under his breath, but loud enough for everyone to hear. 0

"Enough nonsense; you’re being very disrespectful," Prince Yong said sternly. 0

Gu Yi chuckled quietly at that remark. The word "apology" was quite nuanced—why say "I don't deny" an apology or not apologize at all? After all, an apology is small compared to the importance of courtesy. Zhang Shoujing didn't want to offend Gu and also didn't want to put Prince Yong in a difficult position, so he kept things light and moved aside. Prince Yong was indeed concerned about his reputation; it was much better than that of Prince Xin. 0

"Oh, please take your seats. We are all family here; standing around feels too distant, don’t you think?" Prince Yong spoke up, trying to ease the tension in the atmosphere. 0

Gu took his seat but didn’t notice the aura surrounding Prince Yong. He had no idea whether Prince Yong knew about Prince Xin's true identity or if he might be sold out while counting someone else's money. 0

"Is Prince Yong here this morning, Advisor?" 0

"Oh, my brother pondered all night. Dear brother, could it be that your words are not to be understood? Is that why you have come here to seek enlightenment?" 0

"What depth is there in those words? If Prince Yong believes he knows, then perhaps he does not. If he thinks he is unaware, then those crude and unsightly phrases are hardly worth the time spent on them. After all, the prince wishes to dedicate more time to greater matters, don't you agree?" 0

Prince Yong looked at the advisor, just as everyone who had seen Gu Ren had been struck by those eyes that never revealed any emotion. For a moment, he was at a loss for words. 0

Seeing Prince Yong's expression, it was clear that he truly did not know about Prince Xin's identity. Perhaps he was also unaware of the light surrounding him. In that case, his ignorance meant little to the advisor. 0

The light could be a very dangerous bomb; one just hoped it wouldn't explode on oneself. The advisor was more than willing to lend them a hand, after all. He sought to conceal his own identity—truth and falsehood intertwined—so that he could remain hidden in plain sight. He had understood this principle long ago. 0
