Seeing Zhang Chenglin's movements, the first to react was Luchenzhou. He didn't even hear the words "Move Against" before he unleashed a powerful strike right in front of Chongguang.
Without any time to react, Chongguang watched as Luchenzhou thrust the Ink Jade Longsword into his chest. Only then did he respond, swinging his leg and delivering a punch that sent Luchenzhou flying into the water.
At that moment, Bu Luo reacted to the Yu Xiao that Zhang Chenglin had thrown. The shattered pieces of Yu Xiao on the ground began to merge into jadeite, slowly outlining a pattern.
But it was that Hong Yu-colored pattern that made Chongguang's eyes widen in fear for the first time.
"Stop the teleportation array!"
Zhang Chenglin knew exactly what he had thrown the Yu Xiao for. He shouted loudly to Hong Yulong and Li Wei, who were surrounding Chongguang. Following Zhang Chenglin's warning, Hong Yulong intensified his assault, each thrust of his spear seeking to draw blood from Chongguang.
Chongguang fought back fiercely against Hong Yulong and Li Wei, exchanging injuries in a frenzied battle. Finally, he managed to buy some time to retrieve a pure red Jade Bowl from his Soul Ring.
The surface of the Jade Bowl shimmered with a pale pink light, radiating purity without a hint of impurity. Its jade-like quality was as smooth as a baby's skin, almost glistening with moisture, and it contained a bowl of light.
Chongguang held the Jade Bowl above his head while battling the two, chanting incantations to activate it. The bowl spun continuously above him, showering light that steadily healed his wounds.
Hong Yulong and Li Wei naturally wouldn't allow Chongguang any chance to catch his breath. However, no matter how hard they tried, they couldn't stop him from destroying the teleportation array.
How large of a teleportation array could be created at the cost of a spirit artifact and a golden cultivator's blood?
Zhang Chenglin had not yet activated that teleportation array. On one hand, he believed that surrounded Chongguang didn't need that initial escape route; on the other hand, no one would willingly sacrifice their life’s treasure.

Chongguang, however, was in a state of frantic anxiety. He was uncertain about who might arrive through the teleportation array, and only by destroying it could he feel at ease. Although he knew that the most he could expect from the teleportation was a single Infant Period Cultivator, he wondered which cultivator from Coco's faction would be easy to deal with.
Both sides were engaged in fierce attacks, exchanging injuries as they fought desperately. Hong Yulong and Li Wei sought to block Chongguang, while he relied on the recovery spirit tool above his head to unleash light without fear, battling the two to a standstill.
Luchenzhou struggled to surface from the water, gazing at the battlefield. He saw his sword embedded in Chongguang's chest and a smile crept across his lips as he turned to look at Wei Wuyou.
A junior disciple from Lutuo Pavilion noticed Luchenzhou was unharmed and rushed over to help him back onto the boat from Dong Lai. Luchenzhou fixed his gaze on the teleportation array below; it was so close to completion. Chongguang had finally broken through Hong Yulong and Li Wei's defenses and was about to strike the teleportation array, ready to destroy it completely.
"It's my turn," Luchenzhou whispered to Wei Wuyou before slowly opening his mouth to utter a single word: "Explode."
Chongguang looked down at his chest, where the Ink Jade Longsword had developed cracks. It unleashed an explosion equivalent to a full-force strike from a Gold Mid-stage cultivator. If he hadn't been in peak condition, such an attack would have been disregarded even if it came from outside his body. Cigarette Paper wouldn't suffice.
Defense first; he couldn't afford to protect himself any longer. " Bu Fou " Attack first; destroy the teleportation array.
Without hesitation, Chongguang chose the latter. He clenched his fist tightly and continuously channeled spiritual energy into it, aiming a powerful strike at the teleportation array.
Zhang Chenglin watched intently as the teleportation array completed before Chongguang could finish. But even if it was complete, what difference would it make? Chongguang's attack had already begun; soon enough, he would destroy the teleportation array.
The Ink Jade Longsword exploded in Chongguang's chest, its power momentarily halting his advance and slowing him down just enough that after a second passed following the completion of the teleportation array, his fist finally struck Dong Lai—but it was too late.
Chongguang's movement froze in that instant; half-squatting on the ground, one leg braced against it while the other smashed into the teleportation array. Fragments of the treasured sword flew everywhere, and some tiny shards pierced Chongguang's internal organs, leaving him battered and broken.
Chongguang suddenly felt like laughing, though he had more reasons to do so. Yet, he couldn't bring himself to laugh. He hadn't expected that what came through the teleportation array was actually a person or a weapon. It was a single strike from a Great Master of Refining Spirit and Returning to Void. Although weakened significantly by the teleportation array, it still struck him with such force that it nearly turned his body to mush.
Bu Luo helped Chongguang evade what could have been a fatal blow. Otherwise, Wei Wuyou's charged attack would not have gone as planned; it would have cleanly severed Chongguang's head. Instead, it effortlessly sliced through the left side of Chongguang's body.
The strike from the Refining Spirit Practitioner shattered Chongguang's bones into powder. Wei Wuyou faced no resistance at all, and the blow aimed at his head merely took off half of Chongguang's shoulder.
Chongguang's head quickly began to repair his body, preventing him from dying instantly. However, without the heavenly technique, he would have been as good as dead.
Zhang Chenglin stumbled away, gasping for breath as he pulled out medicine from his Soul Ring. He swallowed an unknown number of pills—some for revitalizing power, some for stopping blood loss, some for regenerating flesh, some for replenishing energy, and some for nourishment—anything he could find went down his throat. Was it finally over?
Hong Yulong leaned on the Jade Dragon Spear, staggering out of the Mountain Sea Fan's Light Barrier range. Hong Ling rushed over to help him up and fed him some medicine.
