"It's nothing. They just think I look quite fierce when I drink tea." 0

Both of them seemed to enjoy the atmosphere. The dark clouds that had been hanging over Gu Xin began to dissipate with Ling Chanzi's arrival. To Gu, Ling Chanzi felt like a refreshing spring after a long journey, revitalizing him and allowing him to think more clearly. 0

The master said that drinking tea is about seeking utility; a good cup of tea is like a wonderful life. Though it has its ups and downs, it initially leaves a lingering fragrance on the lips. He was savoring the tea. 0

Suddenly, Liu Lao Jiu couldn't hold back his laughter any longer. "That little monk isn't really savoring the tea," he said, laughing so hard he could barely breathe. "He claims he's tasting it—it's hilarious!" 0

Hmph, Ling Chanzi's face turned red as he realized Liu Lao Jiu was mocking him. A monk doesn't speak in jest. 0

"I don't deny it," he said. "Any tea can serve a purpose. My master was wrong; a bowl of tea is like a person's life. Gu didn't use a cup but rather a bowl." Ling Chanzi didn't dwell on the difference and continued to listen as Gu spoke. "Some teas are meant for utility, while others are simply for drinking. Look at that tea shop over there; the worker is brewing tea right now. Tomorrow, he'll still be there, and the only difference will be that Coco might go from being a worker to the owner of the shop. Is that kind of life worth savoring?" 0

Ling Chanzi listened to Gu's words but wasn't quite convinced. He shook his head, pondering, "If tea isn't meant for savoring, then what should we do?" 0

Some teas have greater practicality than flavor, just like the tea in front of them—it's merely for quenching thirst, not for enjoyment. As he spoke, Gu finished the remaining tea in his bowl and placed it in front of the little monk. 0

Ling Chanzi thought for a moment, mimicking Gu's actions, and lifted his bowl to take big gulps of tea. After just a few sips, he drained the bowl and nearly choked, coughing several times as his cheeks flushed again. 0

"How was it?" Gu asked. 0

Ling Chanzi pondered for a moment before replying, "It seems... different." 0

He somewhat understood what Gu meant but struggled to articulate his own feelings about drinking tea. He wanted to express that it felt different but could only manage to say those two words—"not quite the same." However, he couldn't clearly explain what made it different. 0

"Let's go," Liu Lao Jiu reminded Gu. "It's time to hit the road, and now is not the moment to relax." 0

Liu Lao Jiu could see that Gu was somewhat at ease now, even he himself couldn't deny it. He wondered if it was because of the Little Monk's mysterious qualities that brought such tranquility to one's mind. 0

However, Liu Lao Jiu did not sense any spiritual fluctuations from Ling Chanzi. Unless Ling Chanzi's strength was far superior to his own, that would explain why Liu Lao Jiu couldn't perceive Ling Chanzi's power. Otherwise, it would suggest that Ling Chanzi was just an ordinary monk, but how could an ordinary monk exorcise demons? 0

He realized he had spoken incorrectly. Gu put away his smile, knowing it was indeed a time to relax. Chen Zongbiao should have reached Chenqiao by now or was already on his way, leaving him with little time. 0

But he couldn't help but observe Jie Donglai's movements. Did he remember what Zhuang Zhixian had told him? 0

He did remember, but he wasn't sure if it would truly be effective. 0

"No," Liu Lao Jiu shook his head. "Do you really recall what I told you?" 0

Gu turned in his saddle to look at Liu Lao Jiu and pondered before saying, "You can't entrust your fate to their mercy." 0

Liu Lao Jiu nodded. "So if you really want to survive, you should think of a better plan while we still have time." 0

He urged his horse forward. 0

Ling Chanzi's mount was clearly of much better quality than those of Liu Lao Jiu and Gu. The deep red coat of the horse had not a single stray hair. The first time Liu Lao Jiu saw that horse, he wished he could claim it for himself. He couldn't help but wonder where a monk like Minghong could acquire such a fine steed. 0

Gu set aside his thoughts and began calculating all the resources he currently had at his disposal. 0

Liu Lao Jiu, a cultivator at the Foundation Establishment Stage, pondered the burden of his own legs. If utilized properly, this greatest hindrance could become his most valuable asset. He was well aware that Zhuang Zhixian, a Qi Refinement Ninth Layer cultivator, was not particularly reliable, yet Zhuang understood the complex dynamics among cultivators far better than Liu Lao Jiu and Gu. 0

In the Dust Realm, there were resources that should be exploited to their fullest potential. Just like Liu Lao Jiu had done before, he had summoned a Fox Demon, a Singer, and Ergou; these connections in the Dust Realm were his most advantageous tools and the easiest to leverage. 0

However, he found himself lacking any useful connections. Liu Donghui was merely an acquaintance; could he really seek help from the Tea House Elder? Gu couldn't help but mock himself for even considering Yi Dong. 0

Ancient Words—no, it was just a fleeting journey they had shared. How could he involve innocent people in this? Gu Bian had resolved to seek help from Ancient Words but did not want to drag anyone else into trouble. 0

Then it struck him. He recalled what Ancient Words had said before their parting; perhaps that could serve as a breakthrough. Gu repeatedly contemplated the words Ancient Words had spoken but felt as if something crucial was missing. What exactly was Ancient Words trying to convey to him? Gu Yi questioned himself over and over in his mind: what could it be? 0
