Chapter 130: Fury
As the song of Hatsune gradually faded, the melody softened, and the dual impact of weightlessness and shockwaves slowly dissipated. The light streaming down from above grew increasingly bright, piercing through the smoke and dust. Accompanying this light was a gentle drizzle, which possessed a magical power; upon touching the ground, it caused new grass and flowers to sprout from the devastated earth. In an instant, the world that had been destroyed by Hatsune Miku's song was revitalized, transformed into a landscape filled with greenery and fragrant blossoms.
However, this rain seemed effective only on the soil, offering no healing effects to the humans and creatures caught within it.
This scene resembled a moment after a storm had passed.
After this gentle rain accompanied by a light breeze, Hatsune Miku's performance of the Shooting Onion Song came to a complete end. The girl stood under the clear sky, bowing in several directions. Her figure gradually faded until she completely vanished from sight. The songstress from the Alternate Dimension had truly disappeared from everyone's view.
Simultaneously vanishing were all members of the Hatsune Miku Reincarnator team. On the ground, even the body of the Reincarnator warrior killed by Bai Luo had disappeared. Loki and the Shining Fruit User also seemed to have evaporated into thin air. By the time everyone regained their senses, their targets had nearly all retreated from the scene.
On the Buddha Light Team's side, they had lost one Reincarnator on the spot. Tiger Lee was in poor condition as well; Vikas enveloped him in a radiant aura of Buddhist light, clearly attempting a unique healing method to restore Tiger Lee as quickly as possible.
Having lost one Reincarnator and severely injured another, Vikas showed little sign of frustration. They were not returning empty-handed this time. From this perspective, the losses on their opponents' side were far greater than theirs. Regardless of any plans they had prior to this battle in Japan's Suido Nishiden River District, those plans were undoubtedly shattered now. Furthermore, with S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel still present on their side, even though their enemies had escaped for now, they would certainly remain in Water City. S.H.I.E.L.D. would conduct a comprehensive citywide search for those Japanese Reincarnators. Once they took some time to recuperate and prepare for an ambush, victory would be assured.
With this thought in mind, even Vikas—who usually maintained an expressionless demeanor—couldn't help but smile slightly. He realized that seeking out S.H.I.E.L.D. and the Avengers was indeed the best choice; those fools would find no use for the Cosmic Cube or Mind Stone.
Just as Vikas was treating Tiger Lee, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were conducting investigations and searches on the ground.
“What's the use of those Strange People?”
Nick Fury stood amidst the ruins of the Nishiden River District, where crushed and newly sprouted Morning Glory lay scattered at his feet. His dark complexion seemed to deepen, and his single eye occasionally darted towards the flying vehicle overhead, thinking that it was only a matter of time before he sent this group of terrorists to prison.
At that moment, his S.H.I.E.L.D. logistics personnel were searching everywhere for the whereabouts of the Avengers.
This was also the root cause of Nick Fury's frustration.
These reincarnators only cared about saving their own people.
Although Nick had long known that these individuals were not to be trusted, he was still somewhat surprised by their blatant actions.
However, he could only curse them under his breath; dealing with these reincarnators would require other means.
In the recent barrage of attacks, this area had been nearly wiped clean. Tony had slipped into unconsciousness and was taken by Nick to the nearest hospital in the Nishiden River District.
These three were the first to be found, while the others seemed to be missing in the ruins—neither alive nor dead.
This was also why S.H.I.E.L.D. and Nick had never given up on their search.
Lorna, Bai Luo, Bruce Banner, and even Natasha—none of them had been located or found dead; they were likely buried beneath layers of debris. Nick could not abandon the search; they had come to this battlefield at his invitation, and he could not allow anything to happen to them.
At that moment, the battlefield was already covered in flowers and lush green grass, with waves of floral fragrance wafting through the air.
Not far away, Thor sat on a broken stone, resting his hammer beside him as he gazed blankly into the distance.
Steve silently observed the chaotic battlefield, lost in thought, unsure of what to make of it all.
For Vikas, this battle might have seemed advantageous, but for the superheroes of the Marvel Universe, it was a complete and utter defeat.
Yet, for them, it might not be such a bad thing after all.
Nick Fury stood atop the ruins, quietly lighting a cigarette. He thought to himself that he hoped no Hydra agents would show up to stir trouble; that would certainly complicate matters.
However, his gaze gradually shifted to the sky, where the aircraft of the Buddha Light Team was hovering, and he smiled slowly.
We’ve done our part; now it’s your turn.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, Bai Luo, who had disappeared, was surprisingly recovering well.
