Chapter Sixty-Eight: Red Skull is Still Alive 0

At that moment, the dying Reincarnator's eyes widened in disbelief. He stared intently at the person before him, unable to fathom hearing the word "Reincarnator" from the mouth of such a Marvel native. 0

Bai Luo glanced at him and said, "I just want to know how many of you there are. How many Reincarnators are in your team? How many newcomers and how many veterans?" 0

"You only need to give me a few numbers. You won't lose any points from the Main God, and you'll gain my assistance in return." 0

The Reincarnator was clearly shaken. The world of Reincarnators was brutal; although they often formed teams, the fundamental purpose of their cooperation was to ensure their own survival. If one could not survive, then teamwork was meaningless. Bai Luo had exposed their identity as Reincarnators and analyzed the situation from two angles, making this Reincarnator realize that his hope for survival lay solely in his own hands. This also allowed him to set aside his concerns about the Main God, leaving no room for him to refuse. 0

However, this Reincarnator was gravely injured. Even when he managed to open his mouth one last time, he could only utter a single character. 0

It was a "seven." 0

A total of seven Reincarnators. 0

After that word escaped his lips, blood began to seep from his mouth and nose. Unless Bai Luo had something that could bring him back to life right now, it would be impossible to save him. 0

Bai Luo stared at him for a moment before retrieving a dagger from his Item Storage Talisman and plunging it directly into his heart. 0

The System prompt sounded instantly. 0

[Dear host, you have killed a B-Class Reincarnator.] 0

[You have gained 5 Old White Rabbit Candy Points.] 0

Bai Luo slowly stood up. From the very beginning, he had realized that this Reincarnator had no chance of survival unless he had something in his hands that could bring the dead back to life. Even then, Bai Luo might not have truly offered his help. 0

There were indeed good people among the Reincarnators, but most of them were ruthless and profit-driven. The Reincarnator was gravely injured and at the mercy of others; once he recovered, he would not hesitate to strike back. 0

Bai Luo had never been a good person, nor would he show unnecessary compassion. 0

He stood up, and The Ancient One approached from behind, asking, "What happened between you and him?" 0

Bai Luo shook his head. "A total of seven of them came. I heard from Hill Agent that a Daoist killed a group of their own people. If we compare that with the ones who are dead, we should be able to figure out how many are left." 0

Bai Luo speculated that the Daoist might have killed all the new Reincarnators in their team. 0

As long as they clarified how many of the newcomers were dead, they could determine how many Reincarnators remained. 0

At that moment, Captain America walked over from a distance, appearing somewhat confused about the situation. "Are these Hydra's people? Has Red Skull made another move?" 0

Upon hearing this, Bai Luo immediately realized something. He muttered, "Wait a minute, Red Skull—he's not dead?" 0

Steve furrowed his brow slightly at Bai Luo's words but did not answer immediately. Instead, he scrutinized Bai Luo from head to toe and glanced at Supreme Sorcerer Gu Yi on the other side, his expression filled with suspicion. 0

However, from Steve's demeanor, Bai Luo had already figured out the answer to his question. 0

Red Skull... was truly not dead. 0

He had always thought that although this world was filled with all sorts of strange things, even with Reincarnators running rampant, the overall storyline of the world remained largely unchanged. Even if there were changes, they shouldn't be significant. 0

However, Bai Luo's perspective was somewhat naive. Changes had indeed occurred, and they were substantial. Whether it was The Ancient One's previous remarks about other universes or the current news that Red Skull had not been defeated by Captain America, it all indicated that the narrative of this world was undergoing tremendous shifts. Some people and events simply remained unaffected, much like Tony Stark, who before becoming a superhero was merely the heir to a vast fortune. After his father Howard Stark's death, his significance diminished greatly; aside from those seeking his wealth, no one would dare to act against him. As for Reincarnators… according to the Main God’s usual methods of assigning missions, it was unlikely that anyone would be sent to kill Tony before he became Iron Man and initiated his own storyline, as it would lack both challenge and excitement. 0

In other words, at this very moment on this planet, some matters might have already undergone fundamental changes; it was just that Bai Luo had yet to encounter them. 0

Just then, a voice called out from the side: “Mr. Bai, Captain!” 0

It was Agent Hill, who had finally arrived with Lorna. 0

For Bai Luo, Maria Hill's timing was perfect. He immediately handed over the task of introducing himself to Captain America to Hill. 0

Captain America likely hadn't come from S.H.I.E.L.D., otherwise he wouldn't have reached the battlefield so quickly or been unaware of Bai Luo's earlier arrival. 0

Bai Luo had already turned his head because he had just noticed that Supreme Sorcerer Gu Yi was opening a shimmering portal intending to leave directly. 0

This bald Supreme Sorcerer was not an ordinary individual; she had her own agenda. 0

However, Bai Luo did not intend to let her leave so easily. He said directly, “Supreme Sorcerer, please wait… Their target is Hulk—the big green guy who just ran away—they will strike again.” 0

The Ancient One paused slightly and turned back. She possessed a long lifespan, yet her face bore few signs of age; only in her eyes could one read the traces left by her extensive life experience. 0

“Back in the battle of Kansas City, I faced a similar group,” Bai Luo said. “I would like to talk with you.” 0

The Ancient One fell silent for a moment and said, "I will find you." 0

With that, she opened her impressive portal and stepped inside, disappearing in the blink of an eye. 0

Bai Luo exhaled and turned around, only to meet Captain America's gaze. 0

Mr. Steve Rogers stared intently at Bai Luo and asked, "Are you the Bai Luo that Fury mentioned to me?" 0

Bai Luo smiled and replied, "Absolutely—though I think we should discuss your situation first, like how Red Skull, John Schmidt, managed to survive." 0

Steve nodded slightly. He looked at the chaotic scene around them and the spot where The Ancient One had vanished. "We definitely need to have a serious talk." 0
