Chapter Fifty-Seven: Big Trouble 0

"I’m at the Disney Concert Hall, and I think someone is watching me." The call connected, and Tony was quite succinct. "Actually, I’m on the balcony on the second floor with Potts—oh, Potts, she’s my assistant." 0

"Oh, what I meant to say is that I saw some people on the balcony, and if I’m not mistaken, I’ve seen them in a remote cave in Afghanistan belonging to terrorists." 0

Bai Luo chuckled slightly. "So what you’re saying is…" 0

"What I’m saying is, do you want me to treat you to dinner? A cheeseburger… it’s definitely delicious." 0

"Sorry, but I can’t today. I have a fan journalist girl waiting for me to give her an exclusive interview—and she found me because someone publicly exposed me in front of the media." 0

"Alright, alright, it’s my fault. But I need help; my new gadget is over ten miles away from me right now. It doesn’t have the capability to fly over here yet, and if I run out looking panicked, I might get shot before I even reach my sports car." 0

Bai Luo seemed to realize what Tony meant with this call and laughed. "I see, Mr. Stark, you need help. Good morning!" 0

On the other end of the line, Tony felt like punching someone, but he still smiled; of course, Bai Luo couldn’t see that smile through the phone. "That’s right, Mr. Bai, I need help." 0

Bai Luo asked, "Do you have Mr. Obadiah Stane’s phone number?" 0

Tony replied, "What do you need his number for?" 0

"To see how much you could sell out for." 0

If it were anyone else saying this to Tony, he would absolutely not believe it. But coming from Bai Luo, he actually thought there might be some truth to it. He immediately said, "Hey, hey, hey! I’m the head of Howard Stark Industries! Trust me; if you save me…" 0

"Cut the crap and give me his phone number." 0

Tony paused for a moment before finally revealing Obadiah Stane's phone number. 0

Bai Luo chuckled and said, "Just wait, the delivery will be here soon." 0

Bai Luo hung up the phone and asked, "Sadako, Mizumura Memeko?" 0

Mizumura Memeko replied excitedly, "Alright, I'll make the call right now." 0

However, Sadako interjected, "They sound like just ordinary people. Mizumura Memeko can handle it remotely; we don't need to make another trip, do we?" 0

Bai Luo smiled and asked, "Is it better for you to hide from the reporters here or to attend the party?" 0

Tony had been ambushed, which clearly deviated from the original plot of the movie. With the changes in the Afghanistan storyline, Iron Man's subsequent events had also been altered. 0

At that same moment, Tony was putting his phone into his pocket as he walked toward Pepper, who had been waiting on the balcony for quite some time. 0

Potts frowned slightly; her beautiful blonde hair shimmered in the light. "What's wrong?" 0

"Nothing," Tony replied with a smile. He glanced downstairs and spotted a shiny bald head—the leader of the Ten Rings Organization who had kidnapped them. "I just called an old friend to join the party." 0

"Do I know him?" Potts' brow furrowed as she seemed to think of other possibilities—like Tony inviting some girl over. 0

Tony clearly noticed what was on her mind and shook his head. "No, no, no. It's a guy—definitely a guy." 0

Tony lowered his head, only to collide with Potts' gaze. 0

Potts was wearing a stunning blue backless dress, complemented by her golden hair, making her quite enchanting. They had just finished dancing, and the usually charming Tony found himself somewhat awkward in front of Potts. The playful banter that typically flowed between them had turned into genuine small talk, filled with words neither of them truly understood. 0

Moreover, Tony's mind was wandering; after all, he was surrounded by terrorists, and he had no idea where Bai Luo was. It could take some time for him to arrive. 0

But the longer time passed, the more dangerous it became for Tony, and Pepper would inevitably be pulled into that danger as well. 0

Gradually, Tony couldn't help but feel anxious. 0

He even spotted a man with an unfriendly expression clearly making his way toward him. 0

The man's hands were tucked into his coat, and he kept glancing around, clearly up to no good. 0

Tony took a slight breath; it seemed Bai Luo wouldn't make it in time. Just then, he heard a series of gasps from the dance floor, as if a dancer had stunned the crowd. But at that moment, Tony clearly couldn't care less about the festivities. He took a deep breath, pushed Potts aside, and said, "Where's the Department of Homeland Strategic Defense, Attack, and Logistics Support? Can you help me find him?" 0

The person Tony referred to was obviously Coulson, the first agent sent by S.H.I.E.L.D. to make contact with him. 0

Potts frowned and asked, "What's wrong? Why do you need to—" 0

Her words were cut off as Tony quickly ran out to confront the assassin heading straight for him. Before the man could draw his gun from his coat, Tony threw a punch that knocked him down. 0

Seizing the opportunity, Tony grabbed the silenced pistol from the man's grasp and turned to face a stunned Potts. He shrugged and said, "Because we have big trouble." 0

With that, he took Potts' hand and headed toward the crowded indoor dance floor to confuse the terrorists' attention. 0

The situation was immediately noticed by the terrorists who had been watching Tony for quite some time. In an instant, many seemingly harmless waiters and guests began to move around him. 0

As Tony walked into the hall once again, the first thing he noticed was the bald leader of the Ten Rings Organization—he was striding toward Tony with no attempt to conceal his presence, even sporting a menacing grin. 0

Tony's heart raced with anxiety. Where was Bai Luo? And what about that guy from the Department of Homeland Strategic Defense, Attack, and Logistics Support? Why was he nowhere to be found? 0

Potts appeared flustered as well; she had no idea what was going on and was completely unaware of the truth behind Tony's capture in Afghanistan. 0

In his panic, Tony never expected that while he was in such dire straits, he would turn around and see Bai Luo right in the center of the dance floor! 0

And Bai Luo was dancing. 0

He was twirling with a breathtakingly beautiful Eastern woman at the center of the dance floor, drawing gasps and admiration from everyone around. The commotion Tony had just heard was indeed caused by Bai Luo. 0

At that moment, Tony felt utterly crushed: I called you here for help, and instead, you come to flirt? 0
