Coughing, Master Han struggled to stand up from the ground. A buzzing sound filled his ears, a cacophony of explosions, wails, and the clash of metal blending together into a harsh noise in his mind. His vision was blurred, the scene before him appearing hazy, surrounded by smoke and the ruins of shattered walls.
Just as he fought to steady himself, a Demon Soldier stealthily approached. With a fierce expression and a gleaming blade in hand, it aimed its murderous intent directly at Master Han. The Demon Soldier moved with incredible speed, its sword raised high, ready to strike down at Master Han's head.
Instinctively, Master Han wanted to defend himself, but his body was exhausted, and his Spiritual Energy was nearly depleted, leaving him unable to react swiftly. He felt the threat of death looming close, the chill of the blade seemingly pressing against his skin.
At that critical moment, a hurried shout came from behind him: "Water Spirit Bomb!"
Suddenly, the scene before Master Han became clear. A high-pressure water sphere shot out rapidly from his left side, slicing through the air with a sharp whoosh as it struck the Demon Soldier's head. The power of the Water Spirit Bomb was immense, exploding upon impact and shattering the Demon Soldier's skull instantly.
With a loud bang, the Water Spirit Bomb detonated in mid-air, sending water splashing everywhere and blood flying as the Demon Soldier's body fell limply backward, crashing heavily to the ground with blood splattering around.
Master Han turned in shock to see Xiao Feng staggering behind him. Xiao Feng's face was smeared with exhaustion and blood, yet his eyes held a determined resolve. He gasped for breath; that last attack seemed to have drained all his strength, but he still stood there defiantly, gazing steadfastly at Master Han.
"Master Han, are you alright?" Xiao Feng asked laboriously, his voice laced with heavy breaths.
Master Han took a deep breath, trying to calm the shock and fear within him. He knew that just moments ago he had been on the brink of death, and it was Xiao Feng's timely intervention that had saved his life. He nodded gratefully at Xiao Feng and said hoarsely, "Thank you, Xiao Feng."
Xiao Feng offered a faint smile and waved his hand in a spell gesture, forcing himself to say, "We can't let our guard down yet; the battle isn't over."
Master Han understood what Xiao Feng meant; this fight was far from finished, and they were still at the center of danger. He felt the little remaining Spiritual Energy within him but stood firm nonetheless, ready to continue battling against the invading demons. No matter what happened in this fight, they could not retreat.
The battlefield was chaotic like hell itself; waves of demon troops surged like a black tide against their crumbling defenses. Smoke billowed into the air as flames soared high; soldiers fought desperately alongside Cultivators to resist them. Yet the demon onslaught was relentless; even though the Machine Gun Turret had regained control, it could not halt the endless tide of enemies.
Every second, someone fell on the battlefield, blood splattering across the ground. The firepower of the Machine Gun Turret was fierce, yet it still seemed inadequate in the face of the dense demonic forces. The sheer number of enemies was despairing, as if no matter how much they shot, the enemy count never diminished.
The commander hid behind cover, sweat pouring down his forehead, his heart racing with anxiety. As he quickly reloaded his weapon, he shouted, "Master! We're running out of time! If you have any way to turn this around, now's the time to use it!"
Hearing the commander's call, Master Han felt a heavy weight in his heart. He knew that the situation had reached a critical point of life and death, but his Spiritual Energy was nearly depleted, leaving him unable to cast powerful spells. His expression was grave, beads of sweat forming on his forehead as a hint of difficulty flickered in his eyes.
At that moment, Xiao Feng suddenly sprinted from one side of the battlefield, tightly clutching the Spirit Energy Talismans that Master Han had given him earlier. His face was smeared with dust and blood, yet his eyes shone with determination.
"Master Han! These Spirit Energy Talismans might help!" Xiao Feng shouted loudly, then without hesitation raised the talismans high and threw them into the air.
The Spirit Energy Talismans spun rapidly in midair before erupting into a dazzling light. A powerful surge of Spiritual Energy poured forth from the talismans, quickly spreading outward like a spring emerging from deep within the earth, enveloping both Master Han and Xiao Feng in its embrace.
Master Han felt a familiar power surge into his body; his weary form was instantly revitalized by the influx of Spiritual Energy. His eyes widened in surprise as he sensed the rapid replenishment of his Spiritual Energy, as if he had been filled with strength anew. Taking a deep breath, he felt that energy coursing through him once more, restoring a long-lost vigor.
Xiao Feng also sensed the revival of his own Spiritual Energy; a hint of relief appeared on his previously exhausted face. He knew that at this moment they had regained their fighting strength, and this Spiritual Energy could be the key to turning the tide of battle.
Gratefully glancing at Xiao Feng, Master Han raised both hands and began to form seals rapidly. A determined light shone in his eyes as he murmured powerful incantations; within him, Spiritual Energy began to gather frantically.
"Everyone hold on!" Master Han shouted with conviction and strength. He understood that this was a do-or-die moment; no matter what happened, he had to protect these soldiers and withstand the demon invasion.
The Spiritual Energy surged within him relentlessly. Following Master Han's incantations, powerful waves of Spiritual Energy coalesced in his hands. With a sudden thrust forward, a massive wave of Spiritual Energy erupted from his palms like an invisible barrier, striking against the invading Demon Soldiers.
Wherever the wave passed, Demon Soldiers were pushed back, creating a brief shield that halted their advance. The soldiers witnessed this scene and felt invigorated; the commander quickly urged them to intensify their counterattack as the Machine Gun Turret unleashed its firepower once more, suppressing the enemy's assault.
Master Han stood atop the battlefield, his gaze piercing as he observed the tide of demonic forces surging forward. He understood that the situation was perilous; ordinary tactics would no longer suffice against this fierce onslaught. It was time to utilize every available resource and seek new ways to break the enemy's advance.
He turned to the commander and shouted, "I need control of the machine guns!"
The commander looked at Master Han and nodded without hesitation, fully aware that this master from the cultivation realm must have a brilliant plan. He quickly transferred control to Master Han and then focused on other aspects of defense.
Without delay, Master Han issued his command: "Xiao Feng, take a few cultivators to operate the machine guns and infuse them with Spiritual Energy!"
Xiao Feng immediately grasped Master Han's intent. He knew they were to channel Spiritual Energy into the machine guns to enhance the bullets' power, enabling them to pierce through the tough hides of the Demon Soldiers and monsters. He swiftly gathered several cultivators and ran toward the Machine Gun Turret.
The group reached the machine gun and quickly took their positions, exchanging determined glances. Xiao Feng took a deep breath, placed his palm on the machine gun, closed his eyes, and began to circulate his Spiritual Energy. As the energy flowed in, a faint blue aura enveloped the machine gun, radiating a mysterious glow.
"Get ready, start firing!" Xiao Feng shouted, decisively pulling the trigger.
With the machine gun's roar, bullets infused with Water Spirit Energy shot forth like beams of blue light, piercing through the battlefield's smoke and striking the Demon Soldiers. Each bullet contained powerful Spiritual Energy that erupted upon impact, unleashing the destructive force of Water Spirit Energy.
Under this barrage of Spiritual Energy bullets, Demon Soldiers fell one after another. Their thick skin and armor, which had previously resisted ordinary bullets, crumbled under the influence of Water Spirit Energy as if made of paper, allowing the bullets to easily penetrate their bodies.
"Good! Keep it up!" Master Han stood nearby, his gaze resolute. He felt a sense of relief seeing the power of the Spiritual Energy machine guns but knew this was only a temporary reprieve; greater challenges lay ahead.
Xiao Feng and several cultivators continuously infused Spiritual Energy into the machine gun, transforming it into a crucial line of defense on the battlefield. It relentlessly suppressed the enemy's advance, providing precious breathing room for the Human Soldiers.
