The next day, a strikingly handsome boy arrived at the factory.
His name was Shen Xu, a classmate of Youxin from middle school, and he was also the driver from last night who had poor driving skills.
He returned the doll to Youxin, and as they walked together, they reminisced about old times.
Shen Xu had a lively and cheerful personality; his presence brought a ray of sunshine into Youxin's dark world, but it couldn't change the chaotic family life she endured.
Meanwhile, her mother was at work, crying out in distress. It turned out she had been laid off due to her age.
This made their already impoverished situation even harder to bear.
Just as the mother and daughter were worrying about rent, their gambling father showed up again.
Usually, he spent all day playing cards outside and rarely came home. But whenever he lost money, he would think of his wife and daughter. This time, he took his daughter's wallet to buy alcohol. Youxin resisted fiercely, but in a fit of rage, her father resorted to violence.
"You're asking for death!"
Such behavior infuriated Mother. In a fit of anger, she hurled the Demon Child Statue at her husband and even cursed him.
"You better not come back until the seventh day! When you do return, you bastard!"
At that moment, Youxin was horrified to see a ghost riding on her father's back.
Even more bizarre was the fact that the ghost resembled her doll quite closely. Her father turned and headed to a nearby rental house, where he drank several cups of Erguotou and soon became thoroughly intoxicated.
At that moment, strange occurrences began anew. Countless insects crawled in through the window, swarming into her father's nose.
As he attempted to swat them away with his hands, he realized someone was gripping his hands tightly. In the end, Old Father inexplicably suffocated to death.
The next day, Youxin was working the night shift at the factory when eerie sounds suddenly echoed through the corridor. Summoning his courage, he went to investigate and found a little girl squatting by the sink.
Suddenly, the girl went into a frenzy, relentlessly pursuing Youxin. Her movements sent chills down his spine as he struggled to retreat. In his panic, he accidentally knocked over a mannequin, but when he turned back, the girl had vanished into thin air.
Youxin fled in terror, ultimately escaping without harm.
Not long after, Shen Xu moved into Sister Wen's former room. The cabinet where Sister Wen had kept offerings for Ghost Child was still sealed with a Yellow Talisman, but fortunately, all the sinister items had been removed, so there shouldn't be any trouble with unclean spirits. Yet, in a daze, Youxin saw the little girl curled up inside the cabinet.
Shen Xu likely rented the room next to Youxin's in hopes of pursuing her.
That evening, he prepared a lavish meal and invited the mother and daughter to join him for dinner.
He thought this would please Youxin's mother, but Shen Xu was taken aback to discover that both of them were vegetarians.
After dinner, while Youxin was hanging clothes on the rooftop, a blood-soaked little ghost suddenly appeared. He was so frightened that he stumbled backward and collided with Shen Xu. The sunny boy before him seemed unafraid of anything; under his influence, Youxin's anxious feelings gradually calmed down.
The next day at lunch in the factory, Youxin discovered a piece of meat in his meal. This made him feel nauseous and vomit uncontrollably; it turned out to be yet another one of that wicked Hua Jie’s tricks.
Youxin couldn't understand why she was being bullied when she hadn't done anything wrong.
Back home, he confided his troubles to his doll, but this time he seemed resolute.
"Doudou, if you can help me deal with Sister Hua, I'll do anything you ask."
Little did Youxin know that the words he spoke to the doll would soon come to fruition.
In the dead of night, Sister Hua walked alone through a narrow alley when suddenly, eerie laughter echoed behind her.
As the laughter grew closer, she was so frightened that she turned and ran.
The Ghost Child blocked her path, causing Sister Hua to tumble down the stairs. Before she could tend to her wounds, something terrifying happened: a shovel came down, and shockingly, she was still alive. What awaited her was an even more horrifying torment.
The Ghost Child sewed her mouth shut with needle and thread, then forcefully pried open her eyes. With a steel needle in hand, the Ghost Child gestured menacingly, and the oppressive atmosphere was intensely thrilling.
This gruesome scene was witnessed by Youxin's Mother as she passed by. Sister Hua was gruesomely killed, and Mother covered her mouth in fear. Strangely enough, instead of calling the police, she helped the Ghost Child dispose of the body.
