What had he been doing during those 40 minutes?
Through investigation, this suspect was identified as Feng Gong, born in 1990, making him 28 years old. He did not perform crosstalk but was instead an unemployed drifter.
When the police suspected he was the murderer, fingerprint comparisons cleared him of suspicion.
Feng Gong claimed that he went to the scene that night to retrieve his electric bike because he had lent it to his good friend Li Tairong.

In the early hours of August 31, 2018, Zheng Xiaodong and Li Tairong went to carry out the crime, while Feng Gong provided them with a vehicle and then went to an internet café to surf the web.
