On that day, a student named Xiao Lin from a local elementary school suddenly began to foam at the mouth, her eyes rolled back, and her body started to convulse uncontrollably as she began to spit out black blood, turning pale and looking terrifying.
A neighbor quickly called for an ambulance.
Once Xiao Lin was taken to the hospital, efforts to save her began immediately. However, the doctors were puzzled; not only did her symptoms not improve, but she also began to show signs of fainting and shock.
Considering Xiao Lin's condition, the doctors first ruled out epilepsy or genetic disorders. This meant that it was highly likely she had suffered from food poisoning, and based on the symptoms, it appeared she had ingested Rodenticide.
Upon hearing this, Xiao Lin's parents, who had just rushed in from the fields, were bewildered. How could their child have been poisoned?
Where was Xiao Lin's older sister, Xiao Xia, who was always with her?
While Xiao Lin was being rescued in the hospital, a local villager, Xiao Li, came to the field and saw school bags and shoes scattered all over the ground, and also saw a little girl lying on the ground. When Xiao Li got closer, he was scared to death by the scene in front of him. He saw the little girl lying on the ground spitting blood and her hideous face was very scary. Seeing the emergency, Xiao Li quickly called the police. When the police arrived, the little girl was already dead. Through investigation, it was found that the little girl who died in the field was Xiao Lin's sister. An hour after her sister Xiao Xia died, Xiao Lin, who had been rescued in the hospital for more than 40 minutes, also died. The attending doctor who participated in the rescue said that the two of them had taken a large amount of Rodenticide, which was very toxic and impossible to save. But what made everyone wonder was, who would poison two young girls? What was the motive of the murderer? The police further learned that in order to go to school, the two sisters rented a house in the town with their mother. Although the mother was mildly mentally retarded, she still took care of the two sisters while picking up waste to supplement the family income. The father of the two sisters stayed in the village to farm. In the eyes of the sisters' parents, the sisters were well-behaved and sensible, and they were the source of happiness in the family. Although the family was very poor, they still felt very happy. But now the two sisters have both died, and the sisters' parents are heartbroken. Life has lost all hope, and everything has lost its meaning for them. So what did the sisters eat that day? Through Autopsy on the sisters, it was found that the sisters had consumed a large amount of Rodenticide. But just three hours before the sisters had an accident, their mother had come to school and there was nothing abnormal. The teachers and classmates in the school did not find any signs of poisoning in the sisters. It seems that the sisters accidentally ate something on the way home from school.
Through visits to the location of the incident, residents reported that when the sisters were returning home, they were accompanied by the older sister Xiao Xia's friend, Li.
Li was born in 2010 and was 12 years old at the time. She and Xiao Xia were classmates. After learning about Li's home address, it was found that she had never mentioned the sisters to her grandparents.
The actions of Li's mother greatly affected her, leading Li to mix rat poison into a bottle of cola and give it to the sisters the next day, resulting in the tragic outcome.
Despite causing the deaths of two people, according to our country's laws, the underage Li is not held legally responsible. Instead, her guardians are required to supervise her closely, and if necessary, the government may take her into custody for education.
Subsequent interviews revealed that Li is very composed and quite cunning.
In early inquiries, Li claimed that two strange men had given Xiao Xia and Lin a bottle of cola. Later, she suggested that the sisters had been poisoned after eating food from a garbage pile.
However, it was ultimately confirmed that these were lies told by Li.
As for how Li became who she is now, the police believe that her lack of maternal presence during childhood and her father's absence meant that her education relied solely on her grandparents.
Unfortunately, her grandparents are elderly and do not understand proper educational methods. Whenever Li made mistakes, they resorted to corporal punishment. Coupled with Li's possible feelings of inferiority and reluctance to communicate, this led to personality flaws that ultimately resulted in her committing an irreparable mistake.
The owner of the agricultural supply store who sold rat poison to Li, Zhou, has been criminally detained for selling dangerous goods.
