Li Xue returned to the third floor of the Li Family Villa and entered her bedroom. The room was simply decorated, exuding a warm atmosphere that was completely different from the style of her previous life. 0

On the windowsill stood a wooden desk, neatly arranged with a few books. Li Xue walked over, picked up one of the books, and opened it to find the handwriting left by the original owner. The original owner's handwriting was elegant, each stroke meticulous and precise, just like her own from her past life. 0

She flipped through a few pages casually but soon felt her eyes strain, so she lay down on the bed and played with her phone. Reading wasn't really her thing. She was an ordinary person who didn't understand sophistication; she just wanted to live comfortably within her limited lifespan. 0

At four-thirty in the afternoon, Aunt Liu came to the Li Family to prepare dinner for everyone. After taking a shower and changing into clean clothes, Li Xue went downstairs. 0

Father Li sat in a lounge chair on the balcony, wearing glasses and reading the newspaper, while Li Jin lounged on the sofa, engrossed in a book about computers. Watching this scene filled Li Xue with admiration. The entire Li Family were academic achievers: Father Li was a university professor, Mother Li was a high school teacher, and Li Jin was an outstanding student who had excelled in his college entrance exams with an exceptionally high IQ. 0

The original owner was the late-in-life daughter of Father Li and Mother Li, with an older brother above her. Her brother's name was Li Qi, a medical doctor currently working in the capital. The original owner also had an older sister named Li Ling, an art student studying abroad. 0

Li Xue felt a wave of shame wash over her as she recalled the original owner's artistic interests. She felt out of place in such an academically gifted family. Thankfully, she was smart enough to know how to enjoy life. 0

"Second Miss, what do you want to eat today?" Aunt Liu asked enthusiastically. "I specially bought your favorite sweet and sour ribs." 0

"Thank you, Aunt Liu," Li Xue replied politely. 0

"Hmph," Li Jin scoffed. "Flatterer." 0

"Xiao Jin!" Father Li reprimanded. "How can you speak like that?" 0

Li Jin pouted but fell silent. Li Xue smiled but said nothing more. After a while, Mother Li returned home. 0

Seeing this, Father Li quickly put down the newspaper and greeted, "Liyun, you're back." 0
Mother Li nodded slightly, "Mm." 0
"Thank you for your hard work." Father Li took her bag with a smile and said, "Go rest for a bit; dinner is almost ready." 0
Mother Li looked at him with a scrutinizing gaze. 0
Feeling guilty, Father Li averted his eyes. 0
Mother Li snorted coldly and turned to Li Xue, "Xiaoxue, you're back today." 0
"Mm." Li Xue nodded, "Mom, you got off work really late today." 0
"Yeah," Mother Li sighed, "There was a lot to do today." 0
"Mom, don't push yourself too hard at work," Li Jin interjected. "Take care of your health." 0
"I know," Mother Li replied, looking at him with a smile. "Xiao Jin is so considerate." 0
Li Xue watched this scene with a hint of envy. Although Mother Li treated her well too, she still wished to receive all of her mother's affection like Li Jin did. 0
"Let's eat first," Father Li said quickly to ease the awkward atmosphere. 0
Everyone took their seats. 0
Father Li served food to Mother Li, saying, "Liyun, eat more." 0
Mother Li looked at him expressionlessly. 0
Father Li awkwardly withdrew his chopsticks. 0
Li Xue quietly ate her meal, pretending not to notice anything. 0
Li Jin pouted and lowered his head to play games. 0
After dinner, Father Li went to the kitchen to help clean up the dishes while Mother Li went to the study to prepare lessons. 0
Li Xue and Li Jin sat in the living room watching TV. 0
"My gaming laptop? Where is it?" Li Jin suddenly asked. 0
"It's in Mom's bedroom," Li Xue replied casually. "You should go ask her for it." 0
"You..." Li Jin glared at her. "Aren't you afraid?" 0
"A person who has died once fears nothing," Li Xue said, looking at him with a slight smile. "You're the same, right?" 0
Li Jin stared at her in silence. 0
After a long pause, he finally spoke up, "You've really changed." 0
"People change," Li Xue replied softly. "It's just a matter of time." 0

"What happened?" Li Jin asked. 0
"Sort of," Li Xue shrugged. 0
"Is it because of Li Ling?" Li Jin frowned. "What trouble has she caused now?" 0
"What do you mean?" Li Xue asked, puzzled. 0
"She's coming back in a few days," Li Jin scoffed. "It can't be anything good." 0
"She's coming back?" Li Xue was surprised. 0
Her impression of this sister was not deep; she only remembered that her character was questionable. In her previous life, it was this sister who had stirred up trouble during her and her brother's divorce. 0
"Yeah," Li Jin nodded. "Grandma is coming too." 0
"Grandma?" Li Xue was even more astonished. 0
Her impression of their grandmother was even less clear; she remembered that the woman was very biased, treating her brother and sister poorly while doting on Li Ling, spoiling her to the point of recklessness. 0
"Yes," Li Jin nodded again. "With both of them coming, it can't be anything good." 0
"Then we'll just face whatever comes our way," Li Xue said calmly. 0
After all, she was no longer the weak and easily bullied original owner of this body; no matter how much trouble Li Ling caused, she felt unafraid. 0
"I'm glad you think that way," Li Jin sighed in relief. 0
He feared that his sister would end up being manipulated by Li Ling like before. 0
... 0
Li Xue returned to her room and opened her computer to check for submission reminders from the school's literary club. 0
Although she was a science student, she had a keen interest in writing and had joined a literary club where she occasionally wrote poetry and essays. 0
Meanwhile, at the Gu Corporation Building, Gu Jingchen sat in his chair, looking over the information in his hands. 0
The documents contained all the details about Li Xue. 0
He stared at them for a long time before tossing the papers onto the desk. 0
Rubbing his temples, he felt a bit irritated. 0
