Only Ziya knew that the children were in Silt, but she was unable to communicate with them, and even Severe Cold was nowhere to be found. The frantic Wanru was helped into the bedroom, while Ziya paced back and forth in agitation, unsure of what to do. She deliberately made noise on the floor, hoping to attract attention, but everyone around her remained indifferent, continuing with their own activities as her legs grew tired and immobile. 0

After settling Wanru, Li Darwen appeared again at the door. He rushed into the white Mist Veil, shouting the children's names. Exhausted and drenched from the mist, he returned to the villa only to find that Zhen had already prepared dinner. 0

Ziya stood frozen like a wax figure, watching Li Darwen slump in despair, his face pale and his eyes fixed blankly on the dining table as Zhen emotionlessly set down the bowls. 0

Li Darwen didn’t say a word throughout. From upstairs came Wanru's faint giggles, which only darkened Li Darwen's expression further. Frustrated, he yanked at the tablecloth and shouted at Zhen, "You... go make her shut up... do whatever it takes to get her to be quiet." With that, the tablecloth was overturned, and the sound of shattered dishes echoed through the room. 0

Li Darwen's frantic actions startled Ziya, who stood nearby like a statue. The sound of breaking dishes rang in her ears like thunder—so real it sent chills down her spine. 0

Zhen's icy face broke into a smug smile as she looked up toward the second floor. Nodding at Li Darwen, she headed upstairs. 0

A sudden pang of anxiety struck Ziya; she felt something significant was about to happen. She shouted at Li Darwen, gesturing wildly to convey that this was wrong. Even as her hand brushed against his hollow form, a cold dread washed over her—what was happening? 0

Ziya watched in alarm as chaos unfolded around her and quickly followed Zhen upstairs to see what she intended to do with Wanru. Zhen unlocked the bedroom door with a key, and at that moment, Wanru resembled a frightened bird, hastily hiding in the corner of the wardrobe upon seeing Zhen enter. 0

"What are you afraid of? Aren't you so capable?" Zhen's gritted teeth shocked Ziya as she trailed behind; after all, Wanru was her mistress! How could she treat her like this? 0

"I’m scared... scared... scared..." Wanru stammered in disarray, burying her head deep within the wardrobe while only half of her back showed, trembling uncontrollably as she mumbled incoherently. 0

Ziya desperately wanted to help her, but when her fingertips touched Wanru’s body, they passed right through. Startled, she quickly withdrew her hand and watched helplessly as Zhen grabbed Wanru by the hair and dragged her toward the bathroom down the hall. 0

Ziya had known all along that there was nothing she could do to help. Now witnessing everything unfold before her eyes felt like someone had deliberately trapped her in this boundless third-dimensional space. 0

At that moment, Wanru seemed like a character from a two-dimensional world suffering from schizophrenia, but no matter what, Zhen shouldn't treat her this way! The child was missing, and it wasn't solely Wanru's fault. Ziya truly wanted to slap Zhen hard. 0

Wanru struggled to fend off Zhen's attack, and the two began to grapple in the bathroom. Wanru was merely acting in self-defense and seemed to be in pain as Zhen tugged at her scalp, so she didn't retaliate. However, Zhen's actions made Ziya, who was watching from the side, feel terrified. 0

Zhen grabbed Wanru's head and slammed it against the Bathing White. Ziya rushed forward to pull Zhen's hand away. The sensation of penetrating through someone’s body was truly unsettling; it created an eerie feeling that made one break into a cold sweat. 0

Ziya recoiled in fear, no longer daring to entertain the thought of penetrating through someone’s body again. She could only watch helplessly as Zhen knocked Wanru unconscious before striding out of the bathroom. "Wake up..." Ziya shouted while crouching on the floor, but she hesitated to touch Wanru's body. 0

Time dragged on endlessly. Ziya had no idea where she was; her phone was nowhere to be found, and there was a pool of blood on Wanru's forehead. 0

I need to tell Li Darwen, she thought as she got up and headed toward the lobby. The lobby was eerily quiet; all Ziya could hear were her own footsteps. The place was still in disarray, and the front door was closed. Wondering if Severe Cold was outside, she casually walked to the door and pulled it open. 0

A cool breeze wafted outside the villa, but there were no cars in sight, nor did she see Severe Cold. What on earth is happening? Just then, it seemed like the door was about to close. Ziya quickly turned around and saw the nanny, Zhen, pushing the door. "Don't..." Ziya hurriedly slipped back inside. 0

Li Darwen wasn't in the living room; had he gone to look for Wanru? With that thought in mind, Ziya headed upstairs. When she reached the bathroom again, Wanru was still missing. At that moment, Ziya assumed Li Darwen had taken Wanru into the bedroom. 0

Exiting the bathroom and returning to the hallway, she noticed light spilling from the study where she had previously found the photo album. Just as she intended to walk toward the study, footsteps echoed down the corridor. Looking over, Ziya saw Zhen sneaking out of Wanru's bedroom and hurriedly heading back to the bathroom. 0

Ziya chose not to follow Zhen but instead walked into the study to see what Li Darwen was doing there. He sat at his desk with a forlorn expression, alone and desolate. In his hand was a lock of dark hair that he held under his nose, inhaling deeply with his eyes closed as if lost in ecstasy; there were traces of tears at the corners of his eyes. On the desk lay a photo album along with a Box and some stationery—his demeanor puzzled Ziya greatly. 0

What person could make him so entranced? Didn’t he realize his wife was in danger? Quietly approaching Li Darwen, Ziya leaned over to peek inside the Box. It contained a notebook that she and Severe Cold had seen before. Perhaps sensing another presence in the room or hearing footsteps in the hallway, Li Darwen suddenly trembled and hastily placed the Box on a shelf. Then he took out a bottle of white gel-like substance from a drawer beneath his desk and poured some onto a shelf compartment before covering it with books to conceal where he had placed the Box. 0

A thick fragrance wafted down the hallway accompanied by soft footsteps. Ziya thought her eyes were playing tricks on her; this person looked so much like Zhen. As she approached for a closer look, she realized it wasn’t A-Zhen but someone else entirely. 0

Li Darwen hurriedly stuffed the letter into the drawer of his desk, his expression flustered. A-Zhen, with her captivating grace, swayed into the room. Upon seeing her, Li Darwen quickly feigned nonchalance, casually flipping through a magazine on his desk. Ziya found it strange; who was this A-Zhen? Why did it seem like Li Darwen was also afraid of her? 0
