Ziya saw the Cleaner supervisor, Li Mingxiang, come in with the aggrieved aunt and hurriedly brought over a chair for them to sit down. "Chen, you can chat with them here for a bit. I have something to take care of, and I'll come back to find you later." 0

"Okay, thank you, supervisor." The Cleaner Aunt was named Chen. Ziya and Sun Meng exchanged glances and nodded at the Cleaner supervisor as she left. The two quickly approached Chen to examine her face closely. 0

"She really did a number on herself; it's all swollen... Oh no!" Ziya couldn't bear to look any longer; it seemed like she had just applied some medicine that made the area even redder. 0

The plump nurse swaggered into the elevator heading up to the 15th floor, thinking about what illness she might encounter. She was just someone making easy money, having learned a bit about dressing wounds from a street vendor. After arriving at the building, her brother-in-law, Zhang, the Chief Editor, had paid for her medical training, allowing her to learn how to administer simple injections for minor ailments like colds. 0

Yesterday, after eating hot pot and fearing breakouts, she had taken several Three Yellow Pills in advance. Little did she know that on her first day back at work, she would end up with diarrhea. Without a second thought, she rushed to the restroom and relieved herself noisily. Finally feeling a sense of relief after expelling a belly full of bad water, she stood up to leave but was stopped by an inconsiderate janitor who shouted at her to flush the toilet. Damn it! Did they not realize how lucky they were to have this job? And why were they making such a fuss? 0

With that thought in mind, the plump woman disdainfully exhaled through her nose. When she saw the elevator finally arrive from the 16th floor, she hurriedly pressed the button and stepped inside. Just as she entered the elevator, her phone vibrated slightly. She quickly pulled it out to check. Her thick eyebrows knitted together as she muttered, "Damn it, who wants to see me? Could it be some handsome guy from this building?" The more she thought about it, the happier she became, recalling Qin Nannan who had come with Ziya. Honestly, that handsome guy had truly caught her interest; little did she know that this beauty was actually bad luck—after just one meal together, he was gone and had thrown her heart into disarray. This was why she hated Ziya so much and had called her a "comet." 0

As the plump nurse thought about Qin Nannan, her eyelids felt unusually heavy. Surely she wouldn't fall asleep in the elevator! She needed to hold on until reaching the studio for a good nap. But despite her thoughts, her eyelids refused to listen; they grew heavier and heavier as if under a spell. The things around her became increasingly blurry until they transformed into a red line... 0

"Hey there, big sister." 0

"Who—who's calling me?" The plump nurse suddenly heard a familiar voice and looked up to see... Wow! It was Qin Nannan! Handsome guy... but weren't you supposed to be dead? How could you... She looked around in confusion; how did she end up here? Everything was covered in bright red decorations—the warm blanket and red double happiness symbols everywhere—was this someone's wedding? 0

"You and I," Qin Nannan said with a smile while reaching out to take her hand. She blinked several times in disbelief. Yet everything felt so real; their hands were still clasped together... 0

"I'm marrying you? Is this real? This is so exciting!" The plump nurse twisted her hefty body and threw her arms around Qin Nannan, showering him with kisses while caressing his body. The red wedding canopy, red pillows, red embroidered quilt—"Wow! I'm finally getting married to my dream guy!" She laughed joyfully and uncontrollably began tearing off her clothes. She dove into the warm red mosquito netting, inhaling the sweet fragrance surrounding Qin Nannan's affectionate smile as if falling into a honey pot—she was truly intoxicated... 0

“I'm not sure how to say this,” Liu felt a twinge of unease. Yuan Ye had never spoken to him about work in such a serious tone before; he usually communicated with humor and lightheartedness. Could it be that he wanted to replace the office director? Surely not! 0

Yuan Ye was frustrated with both Liu Haoming and Zhang, the Chief Editor. One was dead and gone, while the other was stubbornly unyielding. Even his assistance in managing Zhang's affairs was merely a pretext based on his relationship with Zi Anqing and their classmates, preventing others from developing any ill feelings towards Huai Ning. He understood that employees were not allowed to engage in business investments, yet this office director was clearly bullying Ziya, and he couldn't even protect her; he had to resort to internal management adjustments to threaten and warn her. 0

As these thoughts consumed him, Yuan Ye sank deeper into self-reproach. He had been secretly investigating the Cleaner issue, uncovering many potential problems. That scoundrel Zhang Maocai had left behind a mess and was now off enjoying himself in the afterlife. 0

“Why can't you say it? Share your thoughts and suggestions. If not, we can hold a meeting—call in the administrative staff, the chief editors, deputy editors, and grassroots editors for an emergency meeting. I will announce the adjustment plan.” Yuan Ye knew this woman was cunning; if she remained obstinate, he would have to pull out his trump card. He would force major shareholder Liu Haoming to confront how he viewed Ziya and the wronged Cleaner Aunt. 0

Suddenly, there was a rapid knock at the door, followed by Li Mingxiang's panicked voice shouting, “Something's happened! Quick! Fat Sister is in trouble!” 0

“What happened?” Liu rushed out the door, raising his voice. 0

Yuan Ye quickly followed him out of the office. The corridor was filled with frantic footsteps as Ziya, Sun Meng, and Aunt Chen rushed towards the elevator with the crowd. The double elevator on the 15th floor showed no signs of coming down, so everyone had no choice but to press the button for the single elevator to go up. 0

“Do you know what’s going on?” someone whispered in the elevator. 0

“No idea. I just heard someone say Fat Sister is in trouble, so I came out to see what was happening,” another replied. 0

“Seriously? Is this some kind of joke? I haven't finished this month's accounts yet.” 0

“My interview hasn't even been formatted. Great, now I'm going to get scolded for sure. Since we're here, let's go take a look.” 0

Ziya and the other two felt a strange unease, but one person's heart was truly unsettled. The sensation of a racing heartbeat was unmistakable, something that only occurred after encountering bizarre events. This couldn't be a prank; something must have happened to that plump nurse. 0

As they exited the single elevator, they saw a crowd gathered at the entrance of the double elevator nearby. Ziya and Sun Meng pushed their way forward to take a look. The plump nurse was covered in blood, her face and hands smeared with it. Her wide-open eyes were hollow and vacant, and her neck was deeply constricted by a golden necklace she had been wearing… Blood dripped all over her body and onto the ground… It was a scene too horrific to bear… The heavy stench of blood assaulted their senses. 0

"Ugh…" Ziya felt nauseous, her stomach churning, and Sun Meng hurriedly supported her as she stepped aside to crouch down and vomit a foamy liquid onto the ground. 0
