Sun Meng stepped forward and embraced the nearly frantic Ziya, quietly guiding her outside the hall amidst the many curious gazes. "It's okay, relax, breathe..." she gently coaxed in a soothing tone. The struggle gradually subsided as they locked eyes, embracing once more and unwilling to let go for a long time. "It's alright, everything will be fine." 0

"You have no idea how terrifying it is to see a living person suddenly fall from your sight..." Ziya's weak voice emerged from where she leaned against Sun Meng's shoulder, her eyes still flickering with fear. 0

"Is Ziya alright?" Several people, led by Yuan Ye, emerged from the entrance. Liu reached out to stroke Ziya's trembling back, but no one had the right words to comfort her after such a shock. 0

"Yuan, I'm taking Ziya away for now. I'll inform Anqing Mama about this, okay?" Sun Meng brushed Ziya's bangs aside with a serious expression as she spoke to Yuan Ye and the others. 0

"Alright! Let her rest for a bit." Yuan Ye and the others agreed that this was a good idea. Given the situation, Ziya couldn't take the bus alone, so Sun Meng reluctantly dialed Liang Chao's number. 0

Before long, Liang Chao arrived in his car to pick up Ziya and Sun Meng. As they watched the bustling traffic outside the window, Ziya remained expressionless inside the car. The melancholy in her eyes deepened, which saddened Sun Meng. After years of studying medicine under her mentor's guidance and through clinical trials, she understood that Ziya had fallen into a terrifying alternate personal world that was hard to escape. 0

"I have an idea," Sun Meng said to Liang Chao, who was driving ahead. 0

"What do you have in mind? Hypnotize her or...?" Liang Chao had noticed something was off with Ziya when he drove over. Though she had always been somewhat different from her peers, this situation seemed unlike any before. It was clear from her expression that she was hiding something deeply frightening within; perhaps hypnosis could help uncover it. 0

"Well, what can I say? You're my boyfriend; you actually guessed my thoughts." 0

"Flattery won't get you anywhere. You know what sharing a bed means," he teased with a chuckle as he shifted gears, his gaze focused ahead. 0

"Sharing a bed means I've shared my thoughts with you too. Tch! You cheeky guy." Sun Meng glanced at Ziya, who appeared to have fallen asleep against the back of her seat. She shot an annoyed look at Liang Chao for bringing up such trivial topics at this moment. 0

The car smoothly pulled into a parking spot next to Liang Chao's temporary clinic. A cat spotted the vehicle and bounced over excitedly, calling out loudly, "Master, you're back! Oh! And there's Mistress too! Who is that?" She curiously stared at the sleeping Ziya slumped in her seat. 0

“YaYa, stop messing around and go clean up the inner room,” Liang Chao said with a deliberately stern face. Sun Meng got out of the car and looked at the sleeping Ziya, contemplating whether to wake her or how to proceed. 0

Ziya stirred slightly, slowly opening her eyes to the unfamiliar surroundings. She stared blankly at Sun Meng, who forced a strained smile, her unique Doll Face radiating warmth. 0

“Ziya, this is Liang Chao's clinic, which he just got approved. Can you get out of the car?” Ziya nodded, placing her hand on Sun Meng's palm as she stepped out of the vehicle. She lifted her gaze to see the clinic, her eyes shimmering with an unusual light, yet she couldn't express what she felt. 0

From a young age, Liang Chao had aspired to be a respected doctor. After graduating, he interned under a mentor who praised him highly. He learned much medical knowledge not found in textbooks through clinical practice and achieved impressive results in several thesis defenses. Now, he had obtained the qualification to write prescriptions. 0

In contrast, Sun Meng was somewhat lacking; as a psychology major, she could only perform superficial hypnosis on individual patients and couldn't prescribe medication like Liang Chao could. As Ziya entered the clinic, Mao was bustling about, arranging the furniture inside and bringing a chair from outside into the inner room. 0

Ziya quietly sat on one side while Liang Chao pulled Sun Meng aside outside the clinic, his expression serious as he asked, “Are you confident in hypnotizing her? You need to know there are risks involved; you both must be completely in sync without any carelessness.” 0

“Come on, do you still not trust me?” Sun Meng replied confidently. However, deep down, she felt anxious—what if something went wrong? She couldn't afford to take responsibility for that. The thought of sending Ziya back made her uneasy; who knew what Anqing Mama would do to her? There was also a chance that they might send Ziya to some quack for exorcism or something similar. 0

“Feeling nervous? You're a doctor and you're nervous; imagine how Ziya feels! Ugh, I can't even...” Liang Chao knew his scatterbrained girlfriend all too well—she often misplaced things and had locked herself out more than once, waiting for him to come home and climb through the window to retrieve the keys so she could get back in. 0

“Okay! You stay outside and guarantee absolute silence. Close the door and don’t let anyone in,” Sun Meng said as her confidence wavered slightly at Liang Chao's words. She took a deep breath and silently gazed at the sky as if watching Christ perform mass before lowering her head and saying, “No problem, let’s start!” She strode into the clinic with a bright smile directed at Ziya. 0

“Ziya, do you trust me? I’m your best friend,” Sun Meng said. Ziya nodded woodenly, continuing to scan the forty-square-meter clinic with a blank expression. Liang Chao gestured for his apprentice to leave the consultation room while he stepped out and gently closed the door behind him. 0

“Ziya, shall we go inside and have a chat?” Sun Meng said with a serene smile as she reached out to support her. Ziya nodded mechanically and followed her footsteps into the inner room. 0

Inside was a slightly tilted recliner covered with soft towels. At Sun Meng's prompting, Ziya silently sat down on the chair. Sun Meng took out a pocket watch and placed it in front of Ziya. As Ziya watched the pendulum swing back and forth—once, twice, three times—her eyelids grew heavier... “Ziya, remember our childhood days spent in a field of Canola Flowers? You loved inhaling their fragrant scent; can you feel the gentle caress of the breeze?” 0

Ziya's face was adorned with a serene smile, her dimples subtly showing as she softly replied, "There are the scents of flowers, a gentle breeze, and also Bee." 0

Seeing that he had achieved the desired effect, Sun Meng felt a surge of joy and continued in a soothing tone, "You are now at the entrance of the Daily News Building. Take your time and go inside... What do you see?" Ziya's forehead began to bead with sweat, and her brows immediately furrowed, which made Sun Meng feel tense as well. 0
