Chapter 155: Dimensional Space (Part Three) 0

My mind was filled with questions, a jumble that made my head spin. I wanted to remember, but I lay back down. "Don't want to remember?" Zhou Mengyao smiled meaningfully, exuding a maternal aura. 0

I felt passive and reluctantly moved, ultimately lying back down again, helplessly saying, "You go out; I'll get dressed." 0

Zhou Mengyao chuckled and teased, "I thought it was something serious. We're already like this; I know exactly where every hair on your body is. What’s there to be shy about?" 0

"Sister Zhou, I've always been here with you." 0

"Don't you think so?" Zhou Mengyao playfully poked my forehead with her delicate finger, pouting, "You've been relentless; you're almost wearing me out, and I still have to get up early to cook for you." 0

Damn! Although I knew I was the type of man who was reserved yet passionate—at least more so than Chi Xinrong—I couldn't possibly do that every night! 0

Filled with doubt, I shifted slightly and truly felt an unprecedented fatigue. It was as if I had just completed a long journey; I really didn't want to get up. 0

"If you don't want to get up, then stay down. I'll go get you some soup." 0

Zhou Mengyao said this without caring whether I wanted the soup or not and swayed her way out of the room. 0

Once she left, I immediately began to observe my surroundings. 0

The familiar scent, the room's decor—the dressing table, the brand-new cabinet, the mirror facing the bed. Looking at myself in the mirror felt like staring at a pale face from a legend; how did I end up here again, like a fool returning to her world? 0

Footsteps approached, and soon Zhou Mengyao appeared at the door. She carried a steaming bowl of some kind of soup that smelled terrible. Before I could even see what kind of soup it was or take a sip, just smelling it made me start to reject it. 0

"No, I don't want to drink soup." 0

"Be good; this is Complete Nourishing Soup. Without this soup, how would you have the energy to be the groom every night?" Zhou Mengyao's words were laden with meaning, her flirtatious expression accompanied by winks that sent chills down my spine. My heart sank; I had no intention of teasing her and was solely focused on how to return to where it all began. 0

While lost in thought and indifferent to Zhou Mengyao's flirtation, I inadvertently caught sight in the mirror of someone covered in blood and grime, disheveled hair and hands missing fingers, offering me a bubbling bowl of something. 0

What the hell! 0

The woman in the mirror was none other than Zhou Mengyao. 0

I stared wide-eyed in shock, clumsily backing away. Seeing me like this, Zhou Mengyao placed the soup bowl on the bedside table, extended a delicate finger to lift my chin, while her other hand scooped up the bubbling concoction with a spoon, intending to feed me herself. 0

"Don't..." 0

I forcefully swatted her hand away, causing the spoon to fall from her grasp. 0

Zhou Mengyao didn't get angry; she simply lost the smile that had been on her face. She bent down to pick up the spoon, brushed it against the front of her clothing to clean it, and once again offered me the soup. 0

Looking in the mirror, I still saw that blood-soaked skeletal woman. I couldn't help but bite my tongue, feeling a sharp pain and a metallic sweetness. I spat at this face that appeared beautiful but was truly a skull—Spirit. 0

As my bloody saliva splattered across Zhou Mengyao's face, she remained unfazed. The spoon in her hand continued to stir the bubbling contents of the bowl, and then her expression began to change, as if the soup she brought was bubbling over with thick yellowish blood and pus. 0

"Eat, eat! You have to eat! You filthy men are all worthless; eat!" 0

Eat your sister! As the curse escaped my lips, I threw a punch with all my might at that disguised head. 0

Bang! 0

Zhou Mengyao's head tilted to one side. Even so, she stubbornly continued stirring the soup in the bowl. I jumped up and finally caught a glimpse of what was in that bowl. It was something from a man's body—something that only appeared after passion. This bowl contained so much; it must have taken countless men to produce that much. 0

Fortunately, I had strong willpower and didn't fall for it. 0

Zhou Mengyao's head remained tilted, her eyes still moving as she repeated, "Eat, eat, eat..." 0

"Eat your sister." I struck again, landing a punch squarely on her chest. Thud! My fist sank in; what the hell! It went straight through! My fingers passed through her back. Damn! I was startled. Despite being a Mortician and reeking of death without fear of anything else, I was still taken aback by this scene before me. 0

Zhou Mengyao was still alive, her head tilted to one side, a strange smile on her face as she mechanically repeated, "Eat, eat, eat!" 0

I had a feeling that someone with ill intentions was deliberately stalling for time. The unkillable Zhou Mengyao, in this absurd twist of fate, seemed intent on dragging things out. In reality, it should have been the eleventh day of the seventh lunar month. 0

The indestructible Zhou Mengyao was recklessly trying to grab me. I broke free from her grasp and dashed toward the door, not even pausing to thank whoever had opened it before charging out— 0

Damn! To my surprise, I stepped into nothingness, my body plummeting like a falling stone into the abyss. 0

"What the hell is this?" 0

I flailed aimlessly, trying to grab onto something to stop my fall but only grasped at air. The air slipped through my fingers, leaving me with cold sweat. My vision was engulfed in darkness, obscuring my surroundings, so I felt no dizziness from the descent nor any discomfort in my body. It was as if I were a weightless object drifting down into an endless void. 0

I imagined that the next moment would be my brain splattered everywhere—white and red staining the ground—just like most people who fell from heights. I was resolute in my thoughts and prepared for death; I spread my limbs wide, thinking that if I was going to die, I might as well do it spectacularly and wear the coolest expression on my face— 0

Suddenly—bang! A loud crash echoed as I felt like I had landed on something soft and squishy. Before I could process what it was, I heard someone below me cursing, "Damn! Who's crushing me? Ouch!" 0

It was the fat guy. 0

Indeed, the person I had landed on was him. My weight was double his, so there was no risk of flattening him; it just seemed quite difficult for him to get up. He grumbled a string of complaints that left me puzzled. 0

He had been in the bathroom when he felt a tremendous force pulling him into the bathtub. When he opened his eyes again, he found himself in this place. 0

The people here were not human at all; they didn’t breathe and were specifically targeting those who did. He had just crouched down to sneak into this rundown house when I crashed down on him. 0

"Mi... Mi isn't with you?" 0

"No, I thought she was with you." 0

"This is bad; hopefully, Mi won't run into trouble." 0

"Go look for it?" Fat Gray asked, vigorously brushing off the dust from his clothes, then pressed on, "Where did you come from, Brother Qi?" 0

"I’m not sure." I didn’t want to mention Zhou Mengyao, fearing he would dig deeper. Besides, I still didn’t know if I had once again ended up in the wrong time and place, colliding with the wrong people. Fortunately, seeing Fat meant I was one step closer to finding Mi. 0

I walked out with Fat Yi, glancing back as we reached the door. 0

The roof, though dilapidated, seemed unlikely to collapse on anyone. I had just come down from that roof. As I stared at it in a daze, Fat also looked up and curiously asked, "Brother Qi, what’s so interesting about the roof?" 0

I withdrew my gaze and replied sullenly, "Nothing. Let’s go find Mi." 0

Once outside, what I saw confirmed Fat's words; the atmosphere and environment here were completely off. 0

Everything was gray and dull; even the people walking along the road appeared listless. It felt like being in another underworld, with a heavy Deathly Aura and chilling Yin Qi. Those so-called breathless "people" were actually a group of Souls. 0
