Demigods, are they considered gods? Strictly speaking, they are not gods; they are merely close to divinity.
So, what about the gods of this world? Strictly speaking, they were all created by humans, which means they have not transcended biological existence. What is a god? What is the true nature of a deity? It has become impossible to judge from a biological perspective.
In the hearts of mortals, gods are omnipotent. In fact, the god that Shasha knows is indeed all-powerful.
During this brief time away from Marvel, Shasha's power has reached the level of a Demigod. When Thanos or the Devourer of Worlds arrives, will he be able to withstand them? They are beings that exist beyond omnipotence.
Every time he thinks about this, he feels that his achievements in this world are insignificant. He believes that honing his own primal power and reaching his personal limit is what truly matters.
Through countless battles, he aims to forge an incredibly solid foundation for himself and then break through the Demigod tier to become a true deity!
Of course, this deity will not yet be omniscient; it is merely the beginning of his divine journey.
After resolving the crisis in Yellowstone City, Shasha and Rosa set off lightly towards the capital, North Star. Communication had briefly resumed not long ago, and now the situation in North Star was dire; the leaders of Huaxia were in urgent need.
It was reported that the missing Xiong Bing Lian and others were also about to converge on the capital. Shasha naturally would not miss this grand event.
As for Morgana, she had gone missing since Shasha eliminated the Wolf Fleet. For him, Morgana's disappearance was somewhat of a blessing; after all, her presence could pose a threat to Yellowstone City's safety at any moment.
Of course, it was also possible that she had gone to assist Death God Karl's Gluttonous Army in attacking North Star.
"Where are we now?" After traveling for half a day and seeing the sun about to set, Shasha looked at the distant mountain peaks that indicated the road ahead would not be easy. He couldn't help but ask.
Rosa pulled out a map and pointed to their current location. "We're here, about 600 kilometers away from North Star. If we move quickly, we might arrive in three days."
Shasha frowned. "That speed seems a bit slow."
"There's no way around it. If we use transportation to hurry, Tao Tie might instantly intercept our signal. You know they have issued a top-level wanted notice for you. You wouldn't want to rush only to be surrounded by Tao Tie's fleet, would you?" Rosa shrugged helplessly.
Hearing this, Shasha sighed. This was perhaps the price he had to pay after eliminating the Wolf Fleet. Fortunately, he was physically fit; this distance was nothing for him. However, it might be somewhat taxing for Rosa.
Noticing Shasha's occasional glances at her, Rosa seemed to sense something and displayed a puzzled expression on her face. "What’s wrong? Do you think I can't keep up with you?"
Shasha shook his head; he had no desire to argue with a woman.
After walking several miles, they finally stopped to rest. However, they had barely settled down when a rustling sound emerged from the forest. They quickly found cover and hid nearby, soon spotting two panicked figures approaching.
The two figures reached the tree where Shasha and Rosa had just rested. One of them, panting heavily, asked, "Where have we escaped to now?"
The other looked around and replied, "We must be quite far from the military camp by now."
The first speaker fell silent for a moment before saying, "What does it mean for us to escape like this?"
The second person replied matter-of-factly, "It means we don’t want to die!"
"But I’m starting to regret it," the first person hesitated.
"Don’t talk to me about regrets!" the second one snapped. "What’s done is done; there’s nothing left to regret!"
The first person fell silent again, remaining quiet for a long time.
Shasha and Rosa exchanged glances, confirming a harsh truth: these two were deserters!
However, they didn’t feel compelled to subdue them just yet; they were more interested in hearing what else they had to say.
"Dogzi, you know we can’t go back. Zhuzi is dead, San Pao is dead, even Sergeant Liu is dead. We’re the only two left in our squad. We barely managed to save our lives; I want to go home and see my parents!"
After that outburst came a choked sob, filled with guilt and sorrow.
The deserter named Dogzi sighed. "Kidney, our parents sent us to join the army to protect our country. But now we’ve become deserters. Do you think they can forgive us? They’ve always been honest people. If we go back now, won’t everyone point fingers at us? It doesn’t matter if we lose face, but what about our parents’ dignity?"
His words struck a chord with Kidney, and both of them sighed deeply in unison.
Shasha and Rosa remained silent as well. How similar today’s China was to the China invaded by Neon decades ago! The Chinese nation had risen from the ashes then; during that time, how many sacrifices were made? How many untold stories unfolded?
The human heart is fragile; forcing someone won't change that. Do you think killing those two deserters will solve everything?
Rosa tried to get up, but Shasha stopped her, shaking her head.
Before long, the dog stood up, his face showing struggle before turning resolute. "I'm going back!"
"Are you crazy? Don't you fear being executed under military law? Do you know what we are? We are deserters!"
In response to Kidney's desperation, the dog remained calm. "The army educated us, the country nurtured us, our parents have hopes for us. We can't lose our conscience!"
The dog took the original path back, and with a clenched jaw, Kidney followed suit.
Only then did Shasha and Rosa slowly reveal themselves. After exchanging glances, they decided to follow along.
