There is an ancient saying in Huaxia: "Ants Can Kill Elephants," but it does not apply at this moment.
The Quake Fruit is inherently a power suited for group battles; the more enemies there are, the greater its power becomes.
With each punch thrown, vibrations spread outward, and those Primal Demons barely had time to scream before turning to dust, leaving not a single drop of blood behind. It is no exaggeration to say that Shasha now resembles a deity.
Once, Odin had said that beings of Earth level could ignore the number of enemies because their power cycles made them tireless. Now, standing at this height, Shasha's abilities combined were on the verge of stepping into the interstellar level.
The Primal Demons lacked awareness; they only knew slaughter. Yet the fear lurking deep within them made them hesitate. Even though their consciousness and bodies had been altered, they still retained humanity's most primal instincts.
Like a receding tide, the demons withdrew, and the assault on Southern Capital crumbled. The knights defending the walls relaxed their taut nerves.
When Shasha walked onto the city wall, many surviving knights fell into a deep sleep. Only the Southern Queen, Annie Cid, remained awake, fighting against fatigue as she awaited his arrival. With a look of reverence, she clasped her hands over her chest and said, "Great Divine Envoy, thank you for your assistance in preventing my Southern Kingdom from being submerged in the river of history."
Being called the Divine Envoy was a first for Shasha. He scratched his head, about to speak when Yan descended from the sky and landed right between them.
"I presume you are Annie Cid?" Yan assessed Annie Cid with a scrutinizing gaze, a hint of self-satisfaction evident in her expression. She was confident in her appearance.
Indeed, Yan and Annie were not of the same type of woman. Though both were warrior women, one was breathtakingly beautiful and exuded an air of authority as the leader of the Holy Left Wing—her demeanor far surpassed that of ordinary women. The other was known as the Southern Queen of Feleze but could not quite measure up.
Annie seemed somewhat indifferent to Yan's sudden appearance. She recognized Yan's identity and knew that Feleze had never been particularly devout towards divine beings. Her tone became somewhat flat as she replied, "I am Annie Cid."
Yan smiled at this attitude without concern. She understood that Feleze was divided between those who believed in divine beings and those who did not. If it had been in the past, she would have made sure this Southern Queen understood what divine authority meant. However, since meeting Shasha, her original mindset had undergone a transformation.
"I am Yan, sent here by Holy Kaisa, and this is the male deity I have sworn to protect."
At Yan's introduction, both Shasha and Annie were taken aback. The former was somewhat confused, wondering when he had become someone Yan was protecting. What had happened while he was unconscious? As for Annie, she couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed; it turned out he was not the Divine Envoy she had believed in.
The deity worshipped in the south was referred to as a god, also known as the Omniscient and Omnipotent God, similar to the God worshipped by humanity.
Heralds were servants of God or deities, and due to their differing beliefs, they did not have a favorable perception of envoys, as envoys typically identified themselves with their own faith.
Regardless, since it was Shasha and Yan who had come to her rescue, Annie couldn't afford to show them anything less than gratitude. She sighed inwardly but wore a faint smile of appreciation. "Thank you for your assistance."
Yan waved his hand dismissively and smiled lightly. "We didn't come here to save anyone. As far as I know, you are currently engaged in battle with Sword Demon Ato, correct?"
Annie frowned slightly at his words but nodded nonetheless. "Yes, these attacks are organized by him, and his goal is to turn the entire Freyzer Star System into a second breeding ground for demons."
"You possess a unique divination spell that can reveal the whereabouts of those you wish to find, right?"
Before coming here, Yan had already done his research and was well-acquainted with the information about this Southern Queen.
Annie nodded but was unsure of Yan's intentions. At that moment, Shasha grew somewhat impatient and interjected, "To put it simply, we came here to eliminate Sword Demon Ato. We hope to gain your assistance."
Upon hearing this, Annie not only did not offer her help but outright refused. "I'm sorry; it's not that I don't want to help you. I just don't want you to make unnecessary sacrifices."
Shasha couldn't help but exchange a glance with Yan, both finding it amusing that a single Sword Demon Ato could frighten this Southern Queen so much. It truly was ridiculous.
"We've come this far, so we must have a solid plan. Don't you want revenge? All it takes is for you to cast one spell; you don't even have to accompany us," Yan said, curling his lip. The current Southern Queen was just like the Snuff they had encountered before, her confidence completely worn away.
Annie hesitated for a moment at his words but ultimately shook her head.
Shasha and Yan were at a loss; they truly didn't understand what Annie was so concerned about.
In reality, Annie's concern lay in the next wave of the demon's attack. Once she cast her spell, she would be left weakened. Who would stand against the demon's onslaught then? Yan had already made it clear that they were not here to save anyone, so she couldn't rely on herself or Shasha. She needed to think about the survivors who were still alive. Perhaps they could defeat Sword Demon Ato, but before that, it was likely that this last territory in the south would fall.
Thus, it was a difficult choice.
Unaware of Annie's thoughts, Shasha and Yan assumed she was simply terrified. However, the recently arrived Snuff saw through her concerns at a glance; after all, both were kings, sharing similar perspectives and thought processes.
