A headache and a sense of disorientation accompanied the gradual return of consciousness, as if awakening from a long slumber.
Struggling against the urge to continue sleeping, Shasha groggily sat up, clutching her head. As she shook it to clear her mind, her senses finally returned, but the scene before her left her in shock.
This was not the underground pit where she had been buried; there were no unconscious figures around.
Wait, had some of her abilities vanished? Super Perception, Super Throwing, Super Spider Gene, Super Soldier Gene, Super Gamma Gene, and Self-Healing Gene—were these all gone?
What about Vibration? She moved her hand slightly, and Vibration naturally emanated from it. That was still there!
Shasha breathed a sigh of relief as she checked her character template. Her status was Weak, and her abilities were limited to the Liquid Snake character card, Super Reflexes, Financial Expert, and Master-level Cold Weapons.
The Destroyer Armor was usable, the Yama King Suit was usable, and her second identity was available.
What on earth had happened? Where was she now?
"Dungeon: Marvel Frontline completed, beginning settlement."
"Main quest fully achieved."
"Side Quest completion at 8% (all Side Quests in Marvel Universe)."
"Reputation: Initial fame established."
"Settlement rewards remaining: Advanced Ability Extraction once, 4000 Energy Points, Reputation value 000, Villain Reputation 6000."
"Dungeon strategy evaluation: A-Class."
"Dungeon completion rewards: Advanced Ability Extraction once, Energy Points 000, Omni Reputation value 5000 (exchange only)."
As the settlement concluded, Shasha was left speechless. Had he really spent nearly a year in the Marvel Universe just for a Dungeon? What did that make of his efforts? What about the connections, emotions, and unfinished business he had left behind?
Just as Shasha was caught in a whirlwind of thoughts, the System kindly reminded him, "The Dungeon divides the time of that universe and does not affect the host's gains in the Marvel Universe. The next time you enter the Marvel Universe, it will be based on the settlement time."
Hearing this, Shasha finally breathed a sigh of relief, but new questions arose. "So where am I now?"
"The host is currently in the unlocked Second Universe."
Second Universe? Shasha wore a confused expression. "Could you elaborate?"
"Completing the Dungeon to A-Class unlocks the second universe. The First Universe has detected that the host has met the conditions to unlock the Second Universe, and upon completing the main storyline of the Second Universe, you can return to the Main Marvel World."
Relieved, he realized that not being able to return would indeed be quite frustrating; after all, everything he had was in that world.
"I think I'll stay here for now. It would be great if you could introduce me to this world."
"Please explore on your own."
With that single sentence, he was dismissed. What else could Shasha do?
He found himself in a park, waking up on a bench with no pedestrians in sight. It seemed this place had been abandoned for a long time or simply forgotten; he had no idea where he was.
Shasha decided to strengthen himself first. After all, it was an unfamiliar world, and his sudden drop in power clearly made him vulnerable.
The ability of Quake Fruit was essential; now at S-Class, mastering both virtual and real tremors, he needed not only an Ability Upgrade Scroll to enhance it to SS Level but also 000 Energy Points and one high-level draw.
It seemed like a hefty cost at first glance, but when calculated, it was actually quite reasonable.
First, using a high-level extraction does not guarantee obtaining an SS Level character. Here, "high-level" refers to potential, and drawing a character card is also based on potential; actual ability levels and potential are not comparable.
The SS Level Vibration can control the vibrations of atoms and molecules, achieving both offensive and defensive capabilities. With just a thought, it can create a force that shakes the earth and mountains.
Therefore, enhancing Vibration is imperative.
Without hesitation, I exchanged for an Ability Upgrade Scroll from the Prestige Shop, spending 000 Energy Points and one high-level extraction to upgrade my Fruit Ability from S rank to SS Level.
The upgrading process was smooth and uneventful, completed entirely internally.
With a mere thought, a tree in the distance instantly disintegrated and vanished without leaving a trace.
Shasha smiled with satisfaction and turned her attention to her remaining assets. After using the next high-level extraction, 000 Energy Points, and depleting her Reputation, she spent an additional Omni Reputation of 000. All that remained were 6000 Villain Reputation and 000 Omni Reputation.
Looking at the Villain Reputation Store, she found that all abilities had been cleared out. Shasha frowned; it seemed that the abilities came from the Marvel Universe. If she wanted new abilities, she would have to redeem them herself.
What were her shortcomings? Liquid Snake was a super special forces soldier, excelling in combat and espionage. The Quake Fruit now had both offensive and defensive capabilities, with super reflexes as a fixed initial ability. As a master of cold weapons, she could wield weapons with ease.
After thinking it over, it seemed her offensive methods were rather singular.
If she could acquire a martial art or something similar, it might solve her problem of having limited offensive options.
Calming her mind, Shasha first paid 1000 Energy Points to fix her ability classification. Then, gritting her teeth, she spent another 1000 points to increase the chances of extracting an ability from S rank to SSS Level.
She then clicked to start the extraction. The carousel flickered as various martial arts abilities flashed by, including those seen in her past life’s martial arts and fantasy worlds—punch techniques, palm techniques, leg techniques, and more.
However, when the carousel finally stopped, Shasha found herself staring at a symbol that left her utterly speechless.
Big Dipper Seven Stars!
"Congratulations, host! You have drawn the Big Dipper Fist, with a martial arts strength rating of A-Class and potential rated at S-Class."
"Martial Arts Commentary: The ultimate human fist technique, breaking through the Limit, reaching divinity, and harnessing the power of the stars."
It seemed to look pretty good, but was it a loss or a gain for him?
Could it be that drawing the Quake Fruit had exhausted all his luck? He thought about it, and later on, financial abilities and cold weapons were no longer relevant.
Forget it, the Big Dipper Fist is just the Big Dipper Fist, after all. At least it's a martial art with S-Class potential, and right off the bat, it has A-Class strength, making it easy to use.
Looking at his dwindling assets, Shasha sighed, patted his pants, and slowly got up to walk out of the park.
