The second person to slip into the file room showed no hesitation as he locked onto the computer where Anna had previously been, as if he already knew the information he sought was inside. 0

He opened the computer, skillfully typed in a series of codes, and logged into a special mode. He connected the hard drive to the interface, and the files began to transfer. Five minutes later, once the data was copied, he put away the hard drive and shut down the computer. Just as he was about to leave, something in an inconspicuous corner caught his eye. 0

It was a spider that had fallen to the ground, flattened underfoot. 0

Looking at the liquid oozing from the spider's corpse, it seemed someone had been here about half an hour ago. 0

He returned to the computer and opened it again, performing another round of operations. When he saw that the data had been accessed twice, his expression changed; he could almost confirm that someone had been here before him and had done exactly what he was doing. 0

Without showing any signs of alarm, he closed the computer and slowly exited the file room. 0

Hidden in the shadows, Anna stepped out slowly, her brow furrowed. Could there be other spies from rival factions? 0

Just as Anna was lost in thought, a barely perceptible sonic boom reverberated behind her. Instinctively lowering her head, she saw a hand sweeping toward her. She swept her right leg out; the attacker jumped to avoid it. In response, she lunged forward with a right punch aimed at the airborne attacker who hadn't yet landed. This punch was exploratory but carried significant force. 0

With a loud thud, their fists collided, and both retreated a step. The brief exchange gave them a rough understanding of each other's skills. 0

Anna frowned at this person, secretly regretting not having removed her gloves; she had missed a chance to discern their identity. 0

The attacker appeared to be around twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old, with an ordinary appearance that made him look like just another employee in the company—unremarkable. Yet Anna felt that this was not his true face. 0

"Who are you? Why are you here?" she demanded. 0

Hearing Anna's question, the attacker countered, "That should be my question. Who are you? Why are you here?" 0

Anna fell silent; it was wise to remain quiet at this moment. 0

Seeing her silence, the attacker switched tactics. "Whose side are you on?" 0

This time it was Anna's turn to ask back, "And whose side are you on?" 0

The attacker chuckled lightly at her response. "No matter whose side I am on, our goals are aligned." 0

Anna nodded slightly and then whispered, "Then let's keep our distance." 0

The Attacker waved his hand in response and then walked out of the room, lost in his own thoughts. 0

Once the Attacker left, Anna let out a sigh of relief. She wasn't good at communicating with strangers, especially in such situations. Fortunately, the other person wasn't overly persistent; otherwise, she might not have made it out unscathed. 0

The Attacker exited the company through the back door, a process that was remarkably simple as he evaded nearly all surveillance cameras along the way. 0

Upon entering the alley, he wiped his face, revealing a very thin mask of human skin clutched in his hand. Under the dim light of the night and moonlight, it displayed a Mediterranean visage. 0

"Someone is actually trying to deal with Jin Bing. Who could it be?" 0

After Anna transferred the data to Shasha's computer, she felt a sense of relief. This was just the first step; given Jin Bing's current status, how could mere criminal evidence possibly bring him down? 0

This evidence was merely aimed at dismantling Jin Bing's underground influence; for now, it couldn't shake him in any other aspect. 0

After all, Jin Bing's power extended far beyond just underground enterprises. He dabbled in almost everything—aside from his well-known criminal activities, he was involved in weapon development, biochemical experiments, and human modifications—all conducted in secrecy. 0

Thus, it was clear that this task couldn't be completed all at once to avoid unnecessary complications. As Shasha had once said, trying to uproot all of Jin Bing's influence in one go was simply impossible. 0

But taking him down piece by piece was a different story. 0

Not only would Jin Bing choose to abandon his assets to protect himself, but even his connections within the government would think twice before acting rashly. 0

Having completed her tasks, Anna finally left the company. It was winter now, and the temperature had dropped sharply. She tightened her clothing and walked through the night. 0

Just as she stepped out, another figure emerged from within the company. 0

In the night light stood a figure dressed in security attire. He appeared ordinary and unremarkable until he turned into the alley where his form suddenly transformed; his blue skin stood out starkly against the dark surroundings. 0

Perhaps neither Anna nor that mysterious Mediterranean woman knew that there was yet another person with the same objective as theirs. 0

After parting ways with Felicia, Shasha arrived at the library to research information regarding the Egyptian Evil God. 0

In Egyptian history, there were many Evil Gods; some were indigenous while others were defined as Evil Gods by priests of that time who categorized foreign beliefs. Among these records were details about a certain statue. 0

The Evil God is named Set, the death god most feared by the ancient Egyptians. He possesses the ability to control life and death, as well as dominion over the desert. Once a god of strength, his power is immense. 0

Is it to resurrect the Evil God? Shasha frowned. If that’s the case, then things are indeed complicated. However, given Black Queen's personality, why would she seek someone to restrain her? 0

At this thought, Shasha recalled a record stating that Set had inverted reality, attempting to reverse time back to the dawn of ancient Egyptian civilization in order to usurp the power of belief. 0

Time reversal? Disturbing reality rather than traveling through time? 0

A terrifying possibility suddenly crossed Shasha's mind: does Black Queen wish to turn back time a thousand years? 0

The more she thought about it, the more plausible it seemed. After all, Black Queen was from a millennium ago and bore a striking resemblance to an Egyptian. 0

This made her identity quite intriguing. 0
