The return of Magneto signaled the end of the Warriors' dominance. 0

Being the first to rise was not an easy task. Charles let out a sigh of relief at the return of his old friend. Although it felt somewhat unfair to share the burden, the plight of mutants had deteriorated significantly. 0

As soon as Magneto returned, he set about reorganizing the Brotherhood. This time away had allowed him to see clearly who among his ranks was useful and who was loyal. Even though the Brotherhood's influence and strength had waned, their cohesion was at an all-time high. 0

In light of this situation, Magneto chose a unique way to announce his return—he launched an attack on a U.S. Military Base, infuriating the government and leaving S.H.I.E.L.D. in chaos. 0

While this approach was undeniably radical, it had indeed instilled fear in many. 0

This world operated on a simple principle: those with the strongest fists held the power and commanded respect from countless others. 0

Seated upon his throne in the new stronghold, Magneto resembled a solitary king. He was aging but remained unwilling to compromise with this era. When a figure appeared, he opened his eyes from feigned slumber. "A rare visitor. It has been a long time since I last saw you, ever since that battle." 0

"There's no need to dwell on the past; I'm here to propose a collaboration," the visitor stated directly, skipping any pleasantries. 0

Magneto raised an eyebrow at this. "Oh? What kind of collaboration do you have in mind?" 0

The visitor changed the subject. "You should know who wanted your life yesterday." 0

Magneto fell silent for a moment before responding slowly, "I never intended to trouble her, and I know she won't come after me again, even if her subordinates wanted me dead." 0

"That's not the Magneto I know," the visitor remarked with a hint of mockery. 0

"I'm merely adapting to the times. Do you think I resemble a brute?" Magneto scoffed, waving his hand dismissively. "Well then, let's skip the collaboration. If you're here just to reminisce, I'm all for it." 0

The visitor snorted coldly. "I really don't understand what you're afraid of!" 0

Magneto shook his head at this remark. "It's not fear; it's about not wanting to get caught up in your troubles. It's fine for someone to lack direction, but having a clear goal can be dangerous if reality doesn't align with one's expectations. You think your only enemy is Selene, but that's far from the truth." 0

The visitor frowned at these words. "What do you mean by that?" 0

"One day, you will understand," Magneto said meaningfully as he slowly rose to his feet. Before leaving the visitor's line of sight, he paused and added, "Before you go, let me give you a free piece of information. Selene is currently playing a very big game, and the pieces have been in place for quite some time. The net is about to close." 0

The visitor lingered for a moment, the words of Magneto echoing in their mind, before finally departing. 0

Just as the visitor left the Brotherhood's base, news of her meeting with Magneto was laid before the Black Queen. It was clear that both she and Magneto had eyes and ears from the Black Queen around them. 0

Upon hearing this news, the Black Queen merely smiled. "I thought it was something shocking; it seems to be just a meeting between old friends." 0

The figure in black who had once attempted to assassinate Magneto spoke in a low tone, "What if they join forces?" 0

"That possibility doesn't exist. Max is a smart man; he knows this is a whirlpool and won't jump in voluntarily," the Black Queen replied calmly, showing no signs of worry, or perhaps she had never worried about such matters. 0

"By the way, how is my Black Cardinal doing now?" 0

The figure in black responded quietly, "She is currently by the White Bishop's side." 0

"Good. It seems progress is going smoothly," the Black Queen said as she slowly stood and began to pace. When she stopped, she remarked lightly, "Get in touch with Aldrich from Vanguard Technology. Isn't he looking for revenge? Let him go ahead." 0

The figure in black nodded but hesitated for a moment. 0

Noticing this hesitation, the Black Queen wore a half-smile. "Are you worried about the Black Cardinal making a mistake?" 0

The figure in black remained silent, appearing to concede. 0

"Rest assured and do as I say," the Black Queen waved her hand dismissively, her tone leaving no room for doubt. 0

Though uncertain of her intentions, the figure in black chose to trust the confident Black Queen. 0

Once the figure left, a glint of green flickered in the Black Queen's eyes as she caught sight of Shasha. 0

In the office, Shasha was focused on handling documents and remained oblivious to the fleeting unknown green light in her new assistant's eyes. At that moment, Elizabeth lost control over her own body. 0

"Elizabeth, go talk to these companies and ask them why they suddenly canceled the collaboration projects. If they insist on canceling, make sure they pay the penalty for breach of contract," Shasha instructed, then added, "By the way, help me find out why they suddenly canceled the projects." 0

Elizabeth nodded at the words, suddenly recalling something, her face breaking into a bright smile. "Are you free tonight?" 0

Shasha instinctively replied, "Yes, why?" 0

"How about we go out for dinner together?" Elizabeth said, looking both hopeful and shy. 0

This was the first time Shasha had seen Elizabeth like this, and he couldn't help but nod in agreement. 0

Once Elizabeth left with satisfaction, Shasha shook his head. "Why does she seem so charming today?" 0

Perhaps it was just his imagination? He continued to immerse himself in his work. 0
