Shasha's close combat skills were not particularly outstanding even within the Marvel universe, but against an untrained Spider-Man, they were more than sufficient. Coupled with the ability of Quake Fruit enhancing her strikes, Peter found his limbs tingling, making it quite normal for him to be at a disadvantage. Fortunately, he possessed spider-like reflexes, so he had yet to be defeated.
At that moment, Peter was increasingly alarmed. Since his debut, he had never encountered a worthy opponent, leading him to believe that he could handle any situation with ease. However, he never expected to face someone as formidable as Shasha.
As she delivered a punch aimed at Peter's chest, he managed to block it just in time. The moment he did, Vibration activated; her hands trembled lightly, causing him to involuntarily step back. Seizing the opportunity, Shasha locked his wrist and with a swift motion, sent Peter flying backward. Just as he was about to crash into the wall, he flipped and pressed himself against it, his eyes behind the mask fixed intently on Shasha.
"Who are you? We don't know each other, do we?"
Shasha stood with her hands behind her back and replied nonchalantly, "You don’t need to know who I am; you only need to understand that we are enemies."
Peter's expression behind the mask turned cold. An enemy meant a life-or-death struggle.
In the next moment, Peter took the initiative and propelled himself off the wall toward Shasha. Before his fist could reach her, two webs shot out first.
Shasha tilted her head to dodge and faced Peter's incoming punch without flinching. Just before it landed on her chest, her eyes widened suddenly as a powerful Vibration pushed Peter back uncontrollably.
As Peter stumbled backward in confusion, Shasha's fists and feet struck like a sudden storm.
Since gaining her abilities, Shasha had never once slacked off. While honing her skills relentlessly, her understanding of those abilities had also deepened significantly. Now, although she had not fully realized her potential, she could maximize what she had mastered—not merely a gift from above but a result of hard work.
"Ha!" She broke through the tempest she had created with a fierce punch that landed squarely on Peter's face. He flew backward and crashed into the wall behind him, leaving a web pattern in his wake.
"Now you look like a real spider," Shasha laughed heartily, her voice laced with mockery—completely different from her usual humble demeanor—because now she was Liquid Snake, a villain.
Peter felt a surge of frustration but knew deep down that he was no match for Shasha. Faced with humiliation, his face flushed red but he found himself unable to retort. For the first time, he felt inadequate; his strength was not enough.
"Do you hate your own weakness? Then get stronger and defeat me!" Shasha sneered dramatically, but her smile faltered slightly mid-sentence—almost imperceptibly.
It turned out that the System had issued a new main quest.
"Main Quest Five: Lifelong Enemy."
"The so-called heroes may not cherish each other; becoming the existence they despise is what you should do."
"Use your second identity to strike against heroes, becoming their lifelong enemy."
"Quest Completion Rate (10/1)."
"Quest Completion Reward: Advanced Ability Extraction once, Energy Points 1000, and access to the Reputation Store for villains."
"Quest Failure Penalty: Deprivation of all current host abilities, deducting life force from 10 to 0 years."
Shasha took a deep breath; the rewards were tempting, and the penalties were severe, especially the so-called Reputation Store, which piqued curiosity about what it contained.
After brutally beating Spider-Man and humiliating him thoroughly, Shasha left. However, many onlookers had recorded their encounter.
As soon as the video was uploaded online, it caused an uproar. Someone actually managed to defeat Spider-Man?
Many of Spider-Man's fans found it hard to believe, while fans of the King of Hell reveled in schadenfreude.
But soon after, another piece of news broke. The person who had beaten up Spider-Man had smashed up the New York Police Department and injured several officers.
In an instant, a wanted notice was issued. Although the police were slow to solve cases, they were astonishingly quick to issue wanted notices without following any procedures.
Shasha had successfully become a wanted criminal, just waiting for the information to be in place before finding an opportunity to feign capture and then infiltrate the prison.
However, Shasha wasn't in the mood to think about those things right now; he was checking out the Villain Reputation Store. To his astonishment, there seemed to be nothing for sale here.
"What is going on?" Shasha couldn't help but ask the System.
The System was silent for a moment before responding, "Only when the host gains Villain Points will the Villain Reputation Store be unlocked."
"That's basically nothing," Shasha said helplessly. It seemed she would only find out the purpose of this store after completing her tasks.
While Shasha was feeling frustrated, Felicia had finally made some progress in investigating information about the prison. Before her father passed away, he had been in contact with someone in prison named Frank Castle.
As Felicia delved deeper into her investigation, she became increasingly alarmed. It wasn't that she uncovered many shocking facts; rather, no matter how hard she searched, she couldn't find any information about him.
All she knew was that he had been imprisoned for violent assault, and that was it. It was as if someone had erased everything about him.
Her intuition and current investigation told Felicia that this person must be connected to her father's death!
