A loud bang echoed, as if a block of iron had been shattered.
A ninja from the Hand-to-Hand Meeting was reduced to a mist of blood by a single ordinary punch. Withdrawing his fist and standing still, Shasha surveyed the ninjas surrounding him, a playful expression on his face. The serious looks on their faces only added to his amusement.
Many of the Hand-to-Hand Meeting ninjas were unafraid of death; they often turned to ash when defeated as a form of self-preservation. However, today they had encountered their nemesis.
The person before them struck with a punch at anyone who approached, instantly turning their comrade into a blood mist, leaving no time to unleash any secret techniques. While they were not afraid of sacrifice, they could not afford to make meaningless sacrifices.
For a moment, no one dared to step forward. Finally, after a long pause, a Leader Ninja spoke up, "May I ask why this gentleman is causing trouble for us from the Hand-to-Hand Meeting?"
"Do you really not know?" Shasha replied with a mocking grin. "If you didn't know, why did you sneak into my room? If you didn't know, then why hasn't Erika returned yet?"
Erika? The Leader Ninja paused for a moment before coldly stating, "You mean Erika Natchiss?"
"Who else could it be? You captured her and yet come to ask me why I'm causing you trouble?" Shasha snorted coldly, his Vibration technique beginning to stir in his hand. "Don't pretend to be ignorant!"
Without much hesitation, the Leader Ninja shot shurikens from his hand.
It was as if that was the signal; shurikens came flying in from all directions, leaving Shasha with no way to evade.
Looking at the barrage of shurikens, Shasha let out a cold laugh and raised his right hand to strike the air in front of him. In the next moment, Vibration spread outwards, and the countless shurikens were instantly reduced to fragments that fell to the ground.
Seeing this scene, the ninjas in the Hand-to-Hand Meeting exchanged glances, realizing that this guy was truly like a porcupine—impossible to approach up close and difficult to strike from a distance. It was indeed a headache.
Just as they found Shasha to be a troublesome presence, on the top floor of a building, two figures silently observed the situation below. When they saw Shasha unleash her Vibration ability, one of them—a woman with flowing white hair, dark skin, and an exceptionally beautiful face—glistened with intrigue in her eyes. "It seems to be based on some kind of vibration principle. This ability has great potential. I once encountered it in a girl; although it looks similar, there is a fundamental difference."
"What difference? At least this level 1 mutant isn't worth our combined effort. I really don't understand what Charles is thinking," complained the other figure, a man wearing monocle glasses. Despite his complaints, his tone was quite indifferent, seemingly unconcerned with the white-haired woman's analysis.
The white-haired woman shook her head and smiled at her companion's words. She knew that his abilities were also formidable; the laser beams he emitted could serve as strategic-level weapons. However, a mutant's power depended on their mental strength and genetic density, and most subsequent training fell within the realm of control. While lasers were powerful, they ultimately had limits.
But this guy was different. Although his abilities seemed weak now, he was gradually growing stronger.
Currently, he could only shatter objects of moderate size—what about in the future?
Vibration could trigger tsunamis and earthquakes, shattering the crust of the Earth and causing it to break apart would not be an exaggeration.
While her companion saw only the present, she and Charles saw the future.
"Should we act now? This is the best opportunity to capture him," her companion suggested.
The white-haired woman pondered for a moment before rejecting the proposal. "Scott, Charles wants us to bring him back, not just capture him. If we make him feel hostile towards us, it would be counterproductive."
Scott frowned. "Aurora, don’t hesitate when taking action."
It turned out that these two were none other than Laser Eye and Storm Queen, active members of the Warriors. Their purpose here was to follow Charles's instructions and bring Shasha back.
Just as Scott was about to make his move, Aurora suddenly stopped him. When Scott looked at her in confusion, he saw that this usually calm companion had a serious expression on her face.
"The Brotherhood has arrived."
In the distance, a figure floated in the air, its cloak billowing gently as it moved slowly forward.
Shasha was unaware that two major mutant factions had set their sights on her. As Vibration became increasingly adept, the ninjas from Hand-to-Hand Meeting grew more and more vulnerable. This overwhelming power to control her own life and death had once captivated her.
Gradually, aside from searching for Erika's whereabouts, Shasha's actions became less straightforward.
In the midst of battle, the ability of Quake Fruit surged from B Rank to A-Class.
According to the mutant power classification system, Shasha had, at that moment, transitioned from a Level 1 mutant to a Level 2 mutant.
