As the boss's capable assistant, Kanna was somewhat well-known in the company, though not for particularly good reasons. 0

Perhaps the title of "secretary" was somewhat ambiguous, but in America, it often served as a euphemism for mistress. 0

Kanna, however, seemed completely unfazed by this perception; in fact, she appeared to enjoy her lifestyle. Many colleagues admired her optimistic spirit, as she remained unaffected by the curious glances from others. 0

Of course, Kanna seemed flawless in her demeanor, to the point that there was no need for investigation. 0

Yet, it was a grave mistake for her to repeatedly hand over client information to Shasha under the guise of work during such a sensitive time. While it indeed fell within his job scope, it did not mean that he was the only one who could handle it. 0

Moreover, with so many others in the company possessing more experience than him, why did she choose him specifically? 0

Some might speculate that it was because she simply disliked him. However, there had been virtually no conflict between them. 0

Thus, the only explanation left was that this woman was secretly observing him. 0

In truth, determining whether this woman was watching him was quite simple; one only needed to notice any recent changes in her behavior. Kanna had been with the company long before Shasha arrived and appeared to have no reason to be suspected. But what if this person wasn’t really Kanna? Finding someone who looked exactly like her might be difficult, but locating a master of disguise would be quite easy. At least Shasha knew that many such individuals existed in this world. 0

No matter how well someone disguised themselves, it was nearly impossible to become another person unless they had already convinced themselves they were someone else. 0

Such self-denial was something only a madman would do. 0

Thus, Shasha gradually began attempting to engage with colleagues, aiming to extract information from them. 0

“Is Kanna different lately? She seems the same on the surface, but something feels off.” 0

“She doesn’t seem as hard to get along with as before. Just the other day in the elevator, she knocked my documents over and helped me pick them up. It sounds unbelievable.” 0

“Buddy, are we talking about the same person? She wouldn’t do that.” 0

The varying responses from his colleagues gradually pointed toward Shasha’s suspicions. However, he wasn’t foolish enough to expose Kanna outright; after all, moving from shadows into light meant amplifying danger significantly. 0

Still, this didn’t prevent Shasha from subtly probing her as a warning to whoever was behind it all. 0

So, just like any other day after work hours, Kanna declined an invitation from her boss and headed home alone. 0

As she traveled along, she noticed that there seemed to be an unshakeable shadow behind her, which raised her eyebrows in curiosity. 0

"Interesting. I usually follow others, but I never expected to be followed myself." 0

With this thought in mind, she decided to lead her pursuer on a little detour. 0

However, to her surprise, the person following her was quite clever; it seemed they knew exactly where she was headed and always waited for her at the right spots. After nearly an hour, she still hadn’t managed to shake them off. 0

At this moment, she began to feel a growing sense of astonishment. When it came to tracking, she was confident that she could rank among the top ten in her organization. As for evasion tactics, that was even less of a concern. Yet now, she found herself being followed and unable to escape, unable even to employ her counter-surveillance techniques. 0

"Who is this person? Is it IA? FBI? No way, they don't have such skilled operatives." 0

While she was lost in thought, Shasha had quietly approached her side without her noticing, and they were now walking side by side. 0

"I'm curious, who are you?" 0

The sudden question startled her. She turned to see Shasha looking at her with a playful expression. Her face immediately darkened as realization dawned on her; the person following her was indeed the target she had been monitoring. 0

After a long pause, she sighed. "It seems that guy wasn't wrong; you really do have the potential to become a level ten." 0

"What do you mean? Please answer my question first." Shasha frowned, not quite understanding what she meant. 0

She smiled slightly. "This is a test—a test of your abilities. It seems you've already noticed someone was watching you. I initially thought that guy might have been exaggerating." 0

"A test? Testing me? Who exactly are you?" Shasha had begun to suspect that this woman belonged to some mysterious organization. After all, none of the organizations in Marvel were simple; just look at S.H.I.E.L.D., for instance. 0

If the woman was from S.H.I.E.L.D., that would be fine; at least there wouldn’t be any conflict between them. But if she were from Hydra, then Shasha would be in trouble because she wasn’t prepared to go against the Avengers. 0

Just as Shasha was caught up in her thoughts, a mission notification from the System arrived. 0

"Main Quest Three: Reputation Emerges." 0

"You have entered S.H.I.E.L.D.'s observation list and have caught the professor's attention." 0

"Prove your worth and make both factions take notice of you; it's time to establish your reputation." 0

"Mission Completion Reward: Intermediate Extraction Chance, Energy Points 800." 0

"Mission Failure Penalty: Randomly lose one ability, vitality reduced by 5 to 10 years." 0

With the mission announcement, Shasha suddenly realized and breathed a sigh of relief; the woman before her belonged to S.H.I.E.L.D. 0

"It doesn't matter who I am. What matters is whether you want to do something meaningful. The rewards are quite generous." 0

The woman tempted Shasha, having already investigated her current situation. In her view, being a killer was far less promising than being a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, despite the difference in danger levels. 0

However, to her surprise, Shasha chose to refuse. "I'm sorry, I'm not interested. I think things are just fine as they are." 0

The woman was momentarily stunned, her face showing disbelief. It was the first time she had heard someone refuse to join S.H.I.E.L.D. 0
