Lin Jinhe, holding the items she had just bought, changed her expression slightly when she saw me.
Zhao Shusen, looking as if he had found a savior, called out with a hint of grievance, "Sister Lin."
Without acknowledging him, Lin Jinhe coldly asked me, "Xie Xingyun, what are you doing here?"

I had already investigated Zhao Shusen thoroughly. After dropping out of school, he managed to take the college entrance exam and got into an ordinary university. After graduating, he became an average white-collar worker.
In her first year after debuting, he had reached out to her. Unfortunately, when he was expelled because of her back then, he didn’t even say goodbye.
I wasn't sure what Lin Jinhe was thinking, but she chose to ignore his messages.
This time Zhao Shusen came to her because his father was deeply involved in a pyramid scheme that not only ruined their family but also caused significant losses for friends and relatives. After his father fled, Zhao Shusen could no longer stay in his hometown and had no choice but to gamble everything by seeking refuge with Lin Jinhe.
It seemed he had made the right bet.
Although Lin Jinhe resented his past indifference, she ultimately couldn't bear to turn him away. The ties from youth are always hard to sever. This was true for me and for Lin Jinhe as well.
I nodded slightly and got straight to the point: "What do you plan to do with him? Are you going to let him stay here long-term?"
Lin Jinhe glanced at Zhao Shusen with a furrowed brow as if weighing her options.
Unable to watch any longer, I stood up and decisively made my own decision:

"This is not just as your agent, but also as your boyfriend."
At that moment, Zhao Shusen timidly spoke up.
Though he had an ordinary appearance, his pitiful demeanor easily stirred a protective instinct in others.
He said, "Xie Ge, you misunderstood. There’s really nothing between me and Lin Jie. I arrived feeling hungry and exhausted, and Lin Jie took me out for hot pot. I smelled too strong, so I just took a shower."
"I fled in a hurry and didn’t bring anything with me; I could only borrow Lin Jie’s clothes to wear."
As he spoke, he opened the bag that Lin Jinhe had just bought, as if to explain:
"Look, Lin Jie just went out to buy me clothes. I'll change and leave with you right away; I absolutely won’t cause any trouble for Lin Jie."
After saying that, he casually walked toward Lin Jinhe's bedroom, clearly to change clothes.
Having navigated the entertainment industry for many years, I had seen all sorts of situations.
His little tricks were truly clumsy; I couldn't be bothered to pay attention and simply stood there waiting for him to come out.
Lin Jinhe hesitated for a moment before finally saying, "Xie Xingyun, I didn't mean to hide this from you; I just thought it wasn't worth mentioning."
