The father-in-law looked at his lifeless wife, crying like a child. The mother-in-law stood by, dazed, repeatedly murmuring, "What happened..." At that moment, Da Hei suddenly dashed toward the Entrance Hall. It arrived at the Entrance Hall and lunged at the air, biting fiercely. Da Hei hung in mid-air, being tossed around, clearly having caught something.
Da Hei's biting brought me back to my senses. It seemed this thing was not easy to deal with, and I needed to help Da Hei. I quickly ran back to the bedroom and grabbed the remaining Black Dog Blood, throwing it forcefully at the spot where Da Hei was biting.
"Ah!" A piercing scream suddenly echoed. Then, I vaguely saw a humanoid figure dissipate into a wisp of white smoke.
At that moment, my tense nerves finally relaxed a bit. Suddenly, I remembered something very important and hurriedly said, "Mom and Dad, Yan Yan was just called away; her Vital Spirit is still in the room and hasn't been taken out. Let's try calling her Vital Spirit back." I explained.
"Okay! Okay!" The in-laws nodded repeatedly. They had no doubt about my words at that moment. I patted Da Hei's head. "Da Hei, it's all up to you to bring back my sister."
Da Hei barked twice understandingly and then began sniffing around the room. I shouted, "Wife, come back quickly!" The in-laws followed suit.
"Daughter, come back quickly!"
"Yan Yan, hurry back!"
Our eyes were fixed on Da Hei.
Finally, Da Hei reached a corner and called out softly a couple of times.
Then it came back in front of my wife and called out again towards the corner where it had just been.
"Ahua, how is it? Have you come back?" my in-laws asked anxiously.
I didn't answer, my gaze locked onto the direction Da Hei was calling.
Suddenly, a wisp of white smoke began to rise slowly from that corner.
Gradually, it gathered in the air to form a transparent little figure, which then flew into my wife's body.
"There's a pulse!" my mother-in-law exclaimed joyfully.
"There's a heartbeat!" my father-in-law shouted.
My wife's Vital Spirit had finally returned to her body; she was saved.
My in-laws wept with joy, grateful for her miraculous survival.

The next morning, my wife woke up.
"Honey, what happened to me last night?" She seemed to have forgotten everything that had occurred.
"It's okay, it's all over now," I said, patting her back to comfort her.
"Mom is making you a calming soup; drink it and rest well."
"Okay." My wife nodded but suddenly remembered something. "What about Da Hei?"
"Dad took it out for a walk."
"Dad took it out?" My wife looked incredulous.
"Yes, your dad has really taken a liking to Da Hei; he even said he would take good care of it for life!" My mother-in-law entered with the calming soup.
Around noon, my father-in-law and Da Hei returned.
"Dad, how is Da Hei doing? Is he adjusting well?" I asked.
"He's doing great; he's much happier since we took him out," my father-in-law said, patting Da Hei's head.
"We need to take good care of him; he's our family's lifesaver," I added, and we all laughed.
During dinner, my father-in-law suddenly asked me, "Ahua, was that really your dad yesterday?"
I nodded. "It must have been my dad's spirit."
"Then I don't understand. Why would he want to harm us?" my mother-in-law asked, looking puzzled.
"I'm not sure either, but I feel like there's something off about this situation," I replied.
"Will he come back?" my father-in-law asked again.
"I read some of my dad's books before. They say that Black Dog Blood can't kill a spirit; it can only injure it."
"What should we do then?" my father-in-law said with concern.
I fell silent. I was already at a loss, and without any clues, I didn't know what to do next.
"Hey, do you remember that Zhang Fengyi who handled the funeral for Old Wang's Family?" my mother-in-law suddenly said to my father-in-law.
"We ran into her when we went on that trip to the countryside a while back, right?"
"Yes, that's her. She's quite well-known in the profession," my father-in-law agreed.
"We don't know much about dealing with the dead, but she's a professional and I've heard she really knows her stuff."
"Ahua, why don't we reach out to her? I have her number," my mother-in-law suggested.
"I think that's a good idea," my father-in-law concurred.
My wife also agreed.
Alright then, I nodded.
