The bearded man had once received instructions from the political situation in Mauritius, and through his own means, he continuously approached the higher-ups of the Miracle Sect. However, when he proposed to meet the leader at a bar, the members of the Miracle Sect handed him a revolver loaded with six bullets and told him to spin the cylinder before firing five shots at the target on the wall.
The man did not understand why this was necessary, but in order to complete his mission, he had no choice but to comply. Now, just as before, he raised the revolver and aimed at an empty spot inside the Embassy, firing five shots. This time, however, the bullets were plastic simulation rounds, prepared solely for demonstration purposes to the Celestial Warriors.
After firing five shots, the man tossed aside the revolver and emptied the remaining round from the chamber, revealing a Pork Bullet. He held up the bullet and shrugged helplessly, saying, "Why am I so lucky this time? If this scene had happened in a bar, I might have already infiltrated the Miracle Sect."
Jiao An and her companions exchanged puzzled glances, unsure of what he meant. The Diplomat explained to them, "This is a 'test' set by the Miracle Sect. They require anyone who wishes to meet with their leadership to shoot five times with a revolver they provide. If the last bullet remaining among the six is that special Pork Bullet, they will consider it divine approval, allowing you to receive guidance from their people to meet with the higher-ups of the Miracle Sect. We once tried to arrest them for illegal possession of firearms, but our informants said they use homemade rubber bullets that do not pose a substantial threat."
"Why would they use such a method to determine someone's right to an audience?" Qin Weishan asked in confusion.
"Because they believe in randomness; randomness is divine," Jiao An reminded him while questioning both Qin Weishan and Lu Sha, "Do you know what the Pork Bullet symbolizes?"
Both shook their heads vigorously. Jiao An continued, "Based on my analysis, including a Pork Bullet among six bullets must be specifically targeting Muslims. In Islam, believers are strictly forbidden from consuming pork; it is a major taboo. If such a bullet were to enter a Muslim's body, although it would cause no more harm than an ordinary bullet—unless it hit a vital area—it would inflict a powerful psychological condemnation on the injured party. This would undoubtedly be a humiliation for Muslims. The Miracle Sect does this to clearly indicate their opposition to Islam and tell those who wish to meet them that they are irreconcilable with Islam. Just think about it: if a Muslim found themselves holding an unfired Pork Bullet, how would they feel?"
"I see!" Lu Sha nodded in realization.
Qin Weishan said, "Jiao An, your analysis is excellent. But can you guarantee that all of this is related to our actions?"
"A citizen without any facial information has established a religious sect here; don't you sense something suspicious?" Jiao An retorted. She then moved closer to Qin Weishan and whispered in his ear near the door, "Don't forget we have two objectives: one is to destroy the Quantum String Engine Locator and the other is to dismantle their hideout, right? But the location of the Quantum String Engine Locator is at Furnace Volcano on Réunion Island—there are no inhabitants there. The internal Humans hiding within human society cannot possibly settle there."
"You mean internal Humans can only be in Mauritius," Qin Weishan pondered for a moment before asking, "And Miracle Sect is their cover in society?"
Jiao An did not nod but winked at him instead because she could not be sure if there were disguised 'acquaintances' within this Embassy. She felt eyes watching them intently. When she turned around abruptly, she found that the Diplomat and other welcoming personnel were simply standing patiently, waiting for their quiet conversation to conclude. Lu Sha was vigilantly scanning their surroundings for any potential threats.
Qin Weishan pulled Jiao An back into a position where they were shielded from everyone else and asked, "So what do you plan to do?"
"We're going to meet with the leadership of Miracle Sect," Jiao An declared firmly.
"But you've seen it too; even if we manage to contact them and enter whatever test they have set up, it's still based on randomness with very low odds. Are you suggesting we resort to violence? While I think that's feasible, it's certainly not your style."
Jiao An crossed her arms over her chest and gazed out at the world bustling with bicycles outside the Embassy. Qin Weishan noticed a hint of a smile on her profile—a silent yet confident response.
"Have you forgotten that we have a new ally?" Jiao An tossed her air bangs aside and looked directly at Qin Weishan. "Don't worry; I have my ways."
In the southern waters of the Pacific under Australian jurisdiction with Team Three onboard,
The captain directed the USS Bush Nimitz-Class Aircraft Carrier towards the precise location of the Quantum String Engine Locator after receiving information from An Xiaotian. On radar, USS Bush was now perfectly aligned with its coordinates; the entire carrier battle group was ready for action at any moment upon receiving further instructions from An Xiaotian and Liu Xuan. Meanwhile, both stood aboard a small destroyer clad in underwater protective membranes provided by the U.S. military; their bodies glimmered under sunlight as if coated in thick lubricant.
"This feels so awkward," Liu Xuan said with a wry smile towards An Xiaotian. "Now I finally understand what it's like for girls wearing tight leather outfits."
An Xiaotian returned his bitter smile; clearly he shared Liu Xuan's sentiments. At that moment he had temporarily stepped away from his Fierce Eagle armor which leaned against a distant cannon shell on deck while its AI Xiao Ling stood by for real-time readiness. He glanced back at his Fierce Eagle armor surrounded by U.S. soldiers who were admiring it when suddenly his watch vibrated—time to enter the water.
An Xiaotian still worried about Liu Xuan; he had dual protection from armor and membrane while Liu Xuan only had that smooth protective layer covering him... He couldn't imagine what would happen if that membrane got damaged underwater at such depths—how could Liu Xuan cope? Even if Nars could help him... he thought it impossible; how could an ordinary person's body withstand pressures thousands of meters deep underwater?
"Let's go." Nars and Liu Xuan logged in simultaneously, the moonlight hue of Liu Xuan's left eye always exuding a gentle warmth. "If you feel any discomfort, make sure to tell me right away, Captain."
"That should be what I say to you," An Xiaotian replied, pressing the energy core on his chest. Instantly, the scanning sound of the Fierce Eagle armor filled the air, accompanied by the roar of the armor activating and the astonished shouts of American soldiers. The two leaped into the air, and in an instant, An Xiaotian merged with the Fierce Eagle Armor. All armor windows sealed shut as they plunged into the water.
After two splashes disappeared, the Fierce Eagle activated its searchlight, illuminating its shoulders, sides, and top with bright lights, startling a nearby school of small fish into scattering.
What happened next was beyond his expectations. The Blue Face Hero's eyes turned moonlight color as two Time Portals suddenly appeared. Equipment flew out from within and rapidly assembled onto his body, emitting white bioelectricity at countless micro-connection points. To the astonishment of Fierce Eagle, Blue Face Hero transformed into an armored figure just like himself, but his armor appeared sleek and slim, with components nearly hidden away, presenting a smooth aerodynamic shape that exuded muscularity.
Most striking was the bionic device resembling a fishbone spine integrated into Blue Face Hero's back, undulating like eight engine cylinders. His ankles were also armed with jet devices that emitted sounds akin to wildcats in the water, indicating that the entire setup was operational.
"See? I told you not to worry about Liu Xuan, Captain." The armor enveloped Blue Face Hero's face, his glowing eyes resembling those of a fully armed biker. "I specifically selected this heavy Battle Armor from the third-tier weapon Curry for its high resistance to extreme environmental conditions. Don't worry; this set is more than enough for diving into deep trenches."
Nars couldn't see An Xiaotian's face at that moment and could only gaze into the orange window of his armor. He might not have imagined how much comfort it brought An Xiaotian to see Liu Xuan fighting alongside him. Although this wasn't their first time together, it felt just like when they stood on the snowy front lines years ago; Liu Xuan always made An Xiaotian proud.
"Celestial Warriors, we have established a signal and are beginning our descent," came a voice from their earpieces. They turned to look at the Virginia-class Submarine approximately four hundred meters to their west within the Bush aircraft carrier battle group. The submarine had already assumed a diving posture, shining its white searchlights through the murky water, resembling a sperm whale preparing to dive.
"I never thought we would reach this day," An Xiaotian remarked to Nars before replying in English through his earpiece, "Team received; we are beginning our descent."
After leaving the airport, they experienced a disappearance of electromagnetic interference. Now Jiao An could observe images of Furnace Volcano on her satellite display from inside the vehicle. However, she noticed many unusual details; near the volcano's crater, what should have been flat terrain had developed pits. This further validated Jiao An's suspicion that their electromagnetic interference was merely a delaying tactic by internal humans.
The vehicle carrying Second Team arrived at Port Louis's busiest market. Since it was a weekend evening, the market buzzed with activity as vehicles became stuck among crowds. From above, people flowed around the cars as if accustomed to having such metal boxes in their midst. The narrow streets were congested with passersby and stalls on either side, filled with shouts and occasional livestock noises. Seeing this scene, Jiao An decided to get out and walk while they carried their gear themselves. Armed with maps given by Mauritius' Diplomat, they plunged into the throng.
The man who had shown them Miracle Sect's "test" methods in the embassy reconnected with those from Miracle Sect and informed them that he had friends wishing to meet their leader. They agreed but stipulated that Jiao An and her companions needed to pass Miracle Sect's test.
Jiao An had already devised a plan for this test. Shortly after they got out of the car, she pulled Qin Weishan and Lu Sha into an inconspicuous corner where only a dim stinking ditch and rotting fruit lay—no one would notice them there. Lu Sha pinched his nose in confusion and asked, "What's going on? Aren't we supposed to move forward?"
"We're waiting for someone; once she arrives, I guarantee everyone will pass this so-called divine test."
With that said, Jiao An pressed her earpiece's channel call button. A few seconds later, a golden arc of light flashed across everyone's vision—
