"Mom?" Muzi followed his mother with a bewildered look and started running.
Suddenly, a large amount of seawater surged into the streets and alleys, gradually rising above Muzi's ankles.
Muzi looked nervously at the ground, as the seawater continued to rise. The houses near the sea had already been overturned by the surging waves.
As they ran to the foot of the mountain, the water level kept rising and was already up to Muzi's knees.
Lin Xi closely followed behind them, using spells to block several houses that were swept by big waves and about to hit them.
"Mom, wait!" Muzi suddenly let go of her mother's hand, ran to the front of the temple, picked up the small Throne of God inside, and ran up the mountain. Lin Xi saw her actions and inexplicably felt a warm flow passing through her heart.
Lin Xi escorted them to the halfway point of the mountain, where they had already met up with most of the villagers. After confirming their safety, Lin Xi walked over to Muzi's side.
" Muzi, you and your mom stay on the mountain and don't run around! I'm leaving!"
Lin Xi's sudden tenderness left Muzi feeling a bit at a loss.
"And what about you? Where are you going?" Muzi's eyes were moist, like dewdrops on a petal in the morning, shimmering with a crystal-clear light, yet carefully concealing his own presence.
"I am the guardian deity of the town, I must protect the villagers of the town!" Also want to protect the person I love...
Lin Xi gently wiped away the tears from Muzi's cheeks.
" Muzi, don't cry, I'm leaving!" There was a gentle smile on Lin Xi's face, as he used his smile to cover the turmoil in his heart, then turned and ran into the waves.
"Lin Xi!" Watching Lin Xi's figure, tears broke through Muzi's eyes, as tumultuous as the waves.
Mom heard Muzi's cry, and followed Muzi's gaze. In that moment, she seemed to see a white-haired boy, emitting a faint white light all over his body, running into the waves regardless of everything, flashing past and disappearing in an instant...
"Mumu, were you... talking to that white-haired boy just now?" Mom looked at Muzi in shock. Over the years, she had actually thought that the bizarre things Muzi said were just old-fashioned ideas that she dared not believe...
"Wu wu wu~ Mom, Lin Xi ran into the sea to save us!" Muzi cried bitterly as she hugged her mother.
In the waves, a white-haired boy kept shuttling on the sea surface, while a little girl cried loudly while holding onto a wooden stool. Lin Xi saved her and put her on a large bamboo raft before going to save others.
Before long, the bamboo raft was filled with people. The adults standing on the bamboo raft looked incredulously at the white-haired boy in front of them. It seemed they had never seen him in the town before. He moved lightly as a swallow, repeatedly traversing the sea surface, unlike an ordinary person.
"Could he be a god!" an old man exclaimed. Then, a person on the bamboo raft knelt down, expressing gratitude for Lin Xi's life-saving grace.
Lin Xi cast a faint glance, is this what it feels like to be a god?
As the seawater continued to rise, Muzi and the villagers had no choice but to climb to the mountaintop. Some of the villagers, upon seeing Muzi, started whispering and pointing behind her.
Muzi walked straight up to them with a frank expression.
"Mumu!" Mom tried to pull her but couldn't.
"What are you pointing at me for?" Muzi looked at the two in the village, and the aunt who often gossiped.
"You are a troublemaker! I'm asking you, did the tsunami that you shouted about come yesterday?" one of the aunts shouted, her voice so loud it seemed like she wanted everyone to hear.
"Yes! You're just a little girl, how would you know that a tsunami was coming?" another aunt persisted.
