Miller can't accompany Daphne for long. When she no longer feels uncomfortable because of the surrounding gazes, he decides to let her play here.
"If you're tired, you can find a waiter and ask them to take you to rest. Resting doesn't mean going back to your room, but going to another tea room, which is actually just changing a place to sit and drink tea."
Daphne sat on a high stool next to the table, her long skirt draping smoothly to the ground. She held a cup of strawberry-flavored blood plasma in her hands and nodded obediently at her brother.
Miller finally touched the back of her neck with his right hand, gazed deeply into her deep purple eyes, and then turned and left.
Watching her brother's figure gradually disappear at the top of the stairs, Daphne no longer maintained her obedient posture from earlier. She placed the cup on the saucer, hopped off the stool, and intended to find the waiter.
However, before she could take a few steps, she was stopped by a strange man.
"Miss Vanja... I wonder if I could have the chance to invite you to dance? I am from the Green family..."
The man's overpowering cologne made Daphne take a step back involuntarily.
"Um, I'm sorry, I don't know how to dance," Daphne interrupted before the man could finish speaking, shaking her head.
The man looked at her resistant expression, his outstretched hand pausing in mid-air. After a while, he slowly withdrew it, looking disappointed as he said, "That's a shame... Sorry to have bothered you."
Daphne politely smiled at him, carefully avoiding him, and finally escaped the encirclement of that cheap perfume.
"Phew..." She took a long breath and walked step by step towards the waiter standing in the corner. Fortunately, although the people around were still restless, no one came to stop her again.
"Hello." Daphne greeted the butler softly and said, "I'm feeling a bit tired. Could you take me to a resting place?"
"Of course, Miss Vanja. It would be my pleasure." The butler slightly bowed and then led the way.
Daphne followed him out of the hall on the first floor and into a small hall in a compartment, then up another spiral staircase. After a while, they finally arrived in front of a secluded room.
"Aren't we going to the tea room?" Daphne asked the butler, looking somewhat puzzled at the small room he had opened for her.
The butler slightly turned his face and respectfully replied, "I'm sorry, I thought you wanted to be alone for a while. If you go to the tea room, there will still be some guests there."
If Miss Vandura Family went to the tea room, I'm afraid many people would soon start feeling "tired" without prior arrangement, and then she wouldn't be able to satisfy her desire for some peace and quiet.
Daphne was moved by his thoughtfulness and smiled at him, saying, "Thank you for considering everything so carefully."
Sitting on the small sofa, she finally asked him, "Could you please bring me some snacks and a pot of blood plasma?"
"Of course, a servant will come to help you in a moment."
Although the room is relatively small, there is also a wall with some books on it. After the attendant left, Daphne stood in front of the bookshelf and searched for a while, then took down a storybook.
She sat back on the sofa and flipped through it, finding that the story was quite abstract, not the kind of love story with dramatic ups and downs that tugs at the heartstrings.
Daphne propped her chin, deeply pondering the wording and sentence structure of inside. Before she could come up with anything, the door of the room was rhythmically knocked.
"Come in," she said absentmindedly, her eyes not leaving the book in her hand.
A man dressed in a butler's outfit turned the handle and pushed the food cart over to her. Daphne continued to read her book, picking up a small cookie and nibbling on it slowly.
After a while, she felt something was off and looked up at the butler who had been standing there silently without speaking or leaving.
“Why haven't you left yet...?”
This somewhat familiar face... It's clearly the handsome young man I saw just a few days ago. Daphne looked at him, surprised, and asked, “Judyah?! What are you doing here?”
Judyah looked at her with a complicated expression and replied, "I originally thought... I didn't expect... it turns out that she wanted to frame up you."
Daphne listened to his words, feeling completely confused. "What are you talking about, Judyah?"
A certain feeling surged from the lower abdomen upwards, Judyah looked at her flawless face like a goddess and those bewildered eyes, and her Adam's apple bobbed twice.
