After staying at home for so many months, this is Daphne's first time leaving her host family to go to the city below the mountain.
In the morning, she was so excited that she couldn't fall asleep until almost noon.
Daphne lay on the bed tossing and turning, imagining whether the carriage she and her brother would be riding in tomorrow would be magnificent inside, and if she would be able to see the outside through the window - the small path, the forest, and then the streets, the crowds, and the rows of houses.
She rubbed her slightly dry eyes, closed her eyelids, and unknowingly fell asleep.
The consequence of sleeping too late is that when it's time for her to wake up in the evening, Daphne is still curled up in bed, fast asleep. Lucia waited outside the bedroom for another half an hour, but seeing no movement, she had no choice but to push open the bedroom door.
Sure enough, the young lady was lying on the bed, holding the blanket obediently, with a peaceful face, as if she could sleep forever.
"Miss?" She stepped forward and tugged at Daphne's blanket, calling softly, "Miss Daphne, it's time to get up."
Daphne furrowed her brows and turned over to continue sleeping.
"Miss, we're going to the city today. Don't you want to go and take a look?"
Daphne Half-dreaming, half-awake, it seems to hear Lucia's voice, murmuring coquettishly, "I don't want to go... I'm so sleepy."
"Miss, do you really not want to go to the city?" Lucia looked helpless.
"I'm not going, I want to sleep... sleep, so tired."

"Master, Miss probably stayed up too late last night and still can't get up now," she said softly.

He straightened his shirt and walked directly to the door of Daphne's bedroom, then opened the door. The gauze curtain had already been pulled back by Lucia, and Daphne was lying flat on the bed, with both arms softly resting on her lower abdomen. Her golden hair was messy and scattered, and her eyelashes cast moon-like shadows as they fell, giving her a very obedient sleeping posture.
Miller slowly walked to his sister's bedside and sat down. He took Daphne's wrist and slowly moved her arms from on top of the blanket, then directly uncovered the blanket from her body.
Daphne was completely unaware, breathing shallowly, her chest rising and falling slowly.
She won't make much movement when she's asleep. Her pale pink nightgown hasn't ridden up above her thighs from a day of tossing and turning, and it still covers her knees securely.
Miller looked at her smooth and fair ankles, with bracelets on them. He lifted his sister's delicate and lovely little feet with his hand and put them near his mouth, lightly biting them with his fangs.
The stinging sensation made Daphne instantly open her eyes, and in that moment, she saw her brother. The vague sense of danger from the previous second had not completely faded.
Daphne asked drowsily, "Brother... are you poking me with a needle?"
"No, just took a bite with my teeth."
Miller laughed, bent down, and gently pressed his lips against hers, taking a sip.
teeth??Daphne I recalled the sharp pain just now, and I really wanted to pry open his mouth to see if his teeth were all growing like the fish in the garden.
"Alright, it's time to get up, my little princess. Don't you want to go to the city?"
Miller sat up straight and reached out to help her sit up from the bed.
Daphne had no choice but to obediently wash up, bathe, and change into her travel clothes, as she couldn't stay in bed any longer.
