Jonas gasped for breath, dodging Raymond's frenzied attacks as a whirlwind of chaotic thoughts raced through his mind. Suddenly, he recalled what the artificial intelligence had said on that Alien Ship—if the temperature exceeded one hundred eleven degrees, the Black Worms would be completely eradicated. That was their only weakness. 0

This crucial piece of information sparked a glimmer of hope in Jonas's mind. However, as he looked around, he realized there was nothing nearby that could generate such high temperatures. The cave was cold and damp, and any materials capable of creating a fire source were out of reach. Anxiety and despair began to rise within him, but he dared not let himself fall into complete panic. 0

"Damn it!" Jonas muttered under his breath, quickly calculating other possible plans. Several ideas flashed through his mind, but Raymond's relentless assault made it impossible for him to think clearly. He sidestepped again as Raymond's twisted tentacles swept dangerously close to his face. Jonas rolled on the ground in a desperate attempt to evade, quickly getting back on his feet, though his back was already slick with cold sweat. 0

Raymond was like a monster, completely ignoring its own pain as it relentlessly closed in on Jonas time and time again. These mutated creatures seemed tireless, their strength only growing with each attack. Jonas continued to retreat, his heart racing as he scanned his surroundings. He knew he had to find a way to stop this madness; otherwise, not only would he perish, but he also wouldn’t be able to bring back all the vital information. 0

"Temperature... I need to raise the temperature!" Jonas urged himself urgently, yet there was no way to create a fire source here, let alone reach one hundred eleven degrees. His gaze swept through the dim cave in search of anything that could help him, but all he found were sticky grime and decaying corpses. 0

Just then, Raymond let out another furious roar and lunged forward with its contorted body. Jonas narrowly dodged a lethal strike but lost his footing and fell to the ground. Before he could scramble back up, Raymond's tentacle swung toward him, sharp as a blade. 0

Jonas quickly rolled aside as the tentacle slammed into the ground with a dull thud. The pounding of his heart filled his ears; the entire world seemed to tremble under Raymond's roar. Without a moment's hesitation, Jonas realized that if this continued, he wouldn't have time to devise a plan. 0

"Calm down, calm down, Jonas..." he repeatedly told himself in his mind, striving to maintain his composure under extreme pressure, but each dodge drained his energy rapidly. 0

Raymond lunged at him again; Jonas could feel the cold sweat on his back and the fatigue in his muscles. But he knew—he couldn't stop. He had to find a way to resolve this situation and seize an opportunity to generate high temperatures. 0

At that moment, Jonas was being pushed step by step into the corner of the cave by Raymond. The creature's tentacles whipped through the air like whips, each strike bringing immense destruction. The stones behind him shattered repeatedly; debris and dust flew everywhere as the cave seemed to crack under Raymond's fury. Pain shot through Jonas's chest; the spot where he had been hit burned fiercely with every movement, but he couldn't afford to stop. 0

Raymond's attacks came like a torrential storm; several times its tentacles nearly struck Jonas’s head and limbs. Gritting his teeth against the pain, Jonas desperately searched for an opening. As Raymond swung its tentacle again, he seized the moment and rolled away just in time to avoid a fatal blow. The tentacle crashed into the stone wall with tremendous force, shattering it and producing a deep explosive sound. 0

Jonas tumbled awkwardly onto the ground; his chest throbbed painfully from exertion, but he couldn’t focus on that now. Just then, his eyes inadvertently caught sight of their makeshift outpost they had built earlier along with the nearby Portable Generator and the massive Blazing Light. A spark of inspiration struck him—he realized that the immense heat generated by the Blazing Light might be key to defeating Raymond and those Black Worms. 0

"One hundred and eleven degrees... high temperature!" The crucial information flashed through Jonas's mind. Although the Blazing Light was not a direct source of fire, the heat it generated was enough to incinerate everything, especially in such a confined space. The thermal energy from the Blazing Light might be his last lifeline. 0

Raymond's tentacles swung fiercely again, and Jonas rolled swiftly to evade the strike, his gaze fixed firmly on the nearby Portable Generator and Blazing Light. He knew he had to muster all his strength to lead Raymond toward that direction and activate the Blazing Light to defeat him once and for all. 0

"Let's go, Raymond!" Jonas whispered to himself, casting a quick glance at the position of the Blazing Light, a flicker of hope igniting within him. He pushed his legs hard, enduring the pain coursing through his body, and turned to run toward the Blazing Light. Behind him, Raymond roared, his tentacles thrashing wildly, sending debris flying from the ground, but Jonas did not look back. He knew he had only one chance left; if Raymond caught him again, this battle would be over. 0

Reaching the side of the Portable Generator and Blazing Light, Jonas quickly checked the status of the Blazing Light to ensure it was still operational. Raymond's furious footsteps were closing in, and Jonas's heart raced, but he forced himself to stay calm. He aimed in the direction Raymond was charging from, gripping the switch of the Blazing Light tightly, waiting for Raymond to come closer. 0

Raymond roared as he charged at Jonas, his black tentacles thrashing like a mad beast. Just as Raymond lunged in front of Jonas, he suddenly activated the Blazing Light. A blinding radiance instantly illuminated the entire cave, countless waves of heat surged forward alongside the searing light toward Raymond. 0

Raymond's body was scorched violently; his black tentacles crackled as they writhed in agony. With the impact of the heat waves, Raymond's skin began to twist and crack open, while the Black Worm inside him writhed frantically, trying to escape from the terrifying heat. But it was all in vain; the immense heat from the Blazing Light was consuming him entirely. 0
