Deep in the forest, the night was as dark as ink. Su Yao moved through the dense trees alone, her gaze sharp, surveying her surroundings like a predator. As a demon, her hunting instincts were awakened in the darkness, but as a traveler from another world, she struggled between satisfying her own needs and respecting human life. 0

"Su Yao, do you really think this is right?" A voice came from behind her; it was Edward, his eyes filled with concern. 0

Su Yao stopped and turned to face him, her voice firm. "Edward, I have to do this. But I promise, I won't harm the innocent." 0

Edward stepped closer, understanding flickering in his eyes. "I know you won't, but this way of life is too hard for you." 0

Su Yao sighed, a hint of resignation in her tone. "This is my choice, Edward. I must learn to control my instincts." 0

Just then, a faint groan came from nearby. Su Yao and Edward exchanged glances and immediately ran toward the source of the sound. They found an injured hunter lying on the ground, his leg severely wounded. 0

"We have to help him," Su Yao said urgently. 0

Edward nodded and quickly moved with vampire speed to find herbs and clean water nearby. Su Yao carefully tended to the hunter's wounds, her hands skilled and gentle. 0

"Who... who are you?" The hunter awoke to see Su Yao and Edward, confusion and fear in his eyes. 0

Su Yao smiled reassuringly. "We are travelers passing through. You’re hurt, and we will help you." 0

The hunter looked at Su Yao, gratitude flashing in his eyes. "Thank you; I thought I would die here." 0

Su Yao shook her head, warmth in her voice. "No one will be abandoned in this forest; we will make sure you get home safely." 0

With the help of Su Yao and Edward, the hunter was safely returned to the village. Su Yao felt a deep sense of satisfaction; she had proven that she could control her instincts while maintaining respect for life. 0

Inside SweetHeart Bakery, the air was filled with delightful aromas, and an array of cakes and pastries caught the attention of customers. Su Yao stood behind the counter, a hint of pride in her eyes. She was not only the owner of this bakery but also its pastry chef, and her creations were somewhat renowned in town. 0

"Su Yao, your pastries are absolutely delicious!" a Japanese customer praised in accented English. 0

Su Yao smiled in response, "Thank you! I'm honored that you like them." 0

However, at that moment, another Japanese customer's voice suddenly turned sharp. "How could these pastries possibly be better than our wagashi?" 0

Su Yao's brow furrowed slightly as she replied with determination, "Every culture has its unique cuisine. I respect Japanese culture, and I ask that you respect my pastries as well." 0

The challenging customer scoffed, his gaze filled with provocation. "Respect? Your pastries can't compare to our wagashi." 0

Taking a deep breath, Su Yao spoke calmly, "I understand your pride in your culture, but my pastries are a reflection of my love and respect for the art of baking. They are different but equally deserving of respect." 0

At that moment, an older Japanese customer approached with an air of authority. "Young man, your words are excessive. Miss Su Yao's pastries are indeed delicious; we should appreciate the uniqueness of every culture." 0

The provocative customer was taken aback by the elder's words. He lowered his head and apologized to Su Yao, "I'm sorry, Miss Su Yao. I was rude." 0

Su Yao smiled as she accepted the apology, her voice carrying a note of forgiveness. "It's alright; I'm glad we could reach an understanding." 0

The bakery returned to a harmonious atmosphere as Su Yao continued her busy work, her heart filled with respect for culture and a love for the art of pastry. She understood that, whether in Japan or in this world, food served as a bridge connecting people's hearts. 0
