The entire Great Star Domain wasn't particularly large, but seeing the familiar names brought a sense of joy to Zuo Dao. Although he had long known of their existence and had already established some connections with them, the feeling was still undeniable.
This was the first step. The Seven Unruly Disciples and Several Fellow Disciples were already aware of their positions when Zuo Dao entered the Great Star Domain. The delay in contacting them was merely part of his strategy. Initially, he intended to set up a scheme within the Great Star Domain, but with the emergence of the Supreme Academy, his focus shifted.
Though they met, there could be no communication. Zuo Dao was taking a gamble. The appearance of the Great Dream Mirror revealed a new function of the Wudao Order; otherwise, he wouldn't have seen through the illusion.
The Great Dream Elder made no mention of the Wudao Order, leaving Zuo Dao uncertain about how many players were involved in this game. From what he knew, there were already three: the Supreme True Immortal, Bie Xue True Immortal, and Great Dream Elder.
It seemed everyone had left their mark on him, which felt quite unpleasant. He was betting that these players were all acting independently and that each held their own territory. This was also one reason he seldom used the Wangfeng Platform and Wudao Order.
After the assessment concluded, the rewards dispersed, and there was still some time before entering the academy. During this period, Zuo Dao planned to prepare thoroughly and also took the opportunity to fill his pockets.
This reminded him of his university days, though he wondered how different the Supreme Academy would be. If he truly needed spirit stones, it would be disastrous; after all, he was currently broke.
Returning to Spirit Sword Mountain, he initially intended to head to Phoenix Valley but decided against it after some thought, opting instead to return to Spirit Sword Mountain to minimize trouble for Huang Xishi.
He continued exchanging pills for spirit stones; however, this time Zuo Dao's actions were astonishing enough that Spirit Sword Mountain struggled to keep up. Eventually, Tai Shu Yi intervened and explained that pills were considered hard currency within the Supreme Academy—sometimes even more useful than spirit stones.
Zuo Dao didn't inquire how Tai Shu Yi knew this information. If they had connections with the Supreme Academy, he would learn everything once he entered; there was no need to owe anyone a favor at this moment.
Tai Shu Yun had been summoned by four Ancient Ancestors into Spirit Sword Cave for reasons unknown. However, before heading to the Supreme Academy, Zuo Dao saw Tai Shu Yun and discovered she had advanced from Concentration Realm to Separation Realm without any issues. It seemed those four old men had employed some kind of enlightenment technique to elevate her realm.
As the time agreed upon with Phoenix Soars Together approached, Zuo Dao set off with Tai Shu Yun to meet them and head to the Supreme Academy together.
The journey wasn't far, but along the way, Zuo Dao didn't engage much in conversation with Tai Shu Yun. The main distraction was the four old men hovering above them; he found them quite bothersome and preferred not to deal with them.
However, upon meeting up with Phoenix Soars Together, Zuo Dao noticed that the number of people above him had increased to six, which only added to his exasperation.
Having connections certainly had its perks! Even going out came with bodyguards in tow.
The gathering place was still the square at the center of the Military Star Taihang Mountain area. By the time Zuo Dao and his group arrived, they found that fifty cultivators were already standing in the square, making them feel like they were the last to arrive.
Each cultivator greeted Zuo Dao's arrival with respect, showing him sufficient deference. This made Zuo Dao feel a bit embarrassed, and he returned their greetings while engaging in conversation with them. The atmosphere in the square became lively and cheerful.
Just as they were enjoying their conversation, a sudden wave of spatial fluctuation rippled through the air above the square. If nothing unexpected happened, it was likely that the guide from the Supreme Academy was about to appear.
This was something Jiang Yuqi had informed them about. Although the existence of the Supreme Academy was not a secret, its location on Earth was. Without a guide, it would be difficult for ordinary people to find it.
As two familiar figures appeared in the sky, the students below felt a sense of reassurance.
"Everyone, we meet again! It seems you are all doing well," Jiang Yuqi's boisterous voice rang out. To their surprise, it was their examiner who had also come as their guide.
However, this was not a bad thing; having acquaintances made things easier.
At this moment, Zuo Dao had subtly become the leader among the students, and he had no objections to this. As he watched Jiang Yuqi and Snow Red Swallow land, Zuo Dao stepped forward and bowed slightly. "Great Star Domain welcomes Master Jiang and Master Yan."
"You! How come your words sound so different when they come from your mouth?" Jiang Yuqi joked. "Master Jiang? Master Yan? I might as well be called Zombie or Blood Corpse!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Jiang Yuqi gasped in surprise. Snow Red Swallow's delicate hand was making irregular movements around his waist. The students who witnessed this quickly lowered their heads—what an inappropriate sight!
"My apologies! Why is it you two again?" Zuo Dao asked. Initially, he had only been following social etiquette, but now that they had exchanged pleasantries, it felt different.
"Now that's more like it," Snow Red Swallow replied. "Isn't it all because of you? If it weren't for you, we wouldn't have agreed to do this."
"Because of me?" Zuo Dao was a bit confused. Did he have something to do with this?
"Alright, let's walk and talk. We still have some distance to cover before we reach home; we can chat slowly," Jiang Yuqi said as he casually tossed out an object that quickly expanded into a large ship with the wind. From its appearance, it could easily accommodate fifty people.
“Brats, come up one by one.” Wanquan first pulled Zuo Dao and Snow Red Swallow inside, followed by Huang Xishi and Three Women, and then the remaining fifty new recruits.
No one had any objections to this arrangement. Setting aside their abilities, just the fact that Zuo Dao could chat easily with the teachers from Supreme Academy was enough to show his standing; hadn’t they already started calling each other brothers?
The interior of the ship was quite simple, with only the necessary facilities and no unnecessary decorations, unlike Huang Xishi's Starry Sky Vessel in Great Dream Mirror.
As Zuo Dao surveyed the inside of the ship, Jiang Yuqi explained.
“This is a standard vessel used by Supreme Academy. It’s mainly for transporting people and troops. It doesn’t have any offensive capabilities; its strengths lie in its speed and strong defenses.”
“Transport Troops?” Zuo Dao instinctively blurted out.
“Heh, don’t worry about my discretion. I know you’re sharp as a tack. Anyway, since you’re going to join the academy, you’ll find out soon enough. Since you called me ‘older brother,’ I’ll give you a heads-up: no matter what you see or learn in Supreme Academy, don’t be surprised.” Jiang Yuqi patted Zuo Dao on the shoulder, speaking earnestly.
“Come on, you don’t have to belittle people like that. What do you mean sharp as a tack? Fine, I get it. I’m not really interested in all that; I just think Supreme Academy seems fun,” Zuo Dao shrugged, showing his disinterest in knowing more.
“Fun? Daozi, is that why you came to Supreme Academy?” Snow Red Swallow exclaimed as she slapped her smooth forehead. “Oh wow, you really know how to have fun. I hope you can still have fun once you get to Supreme Academy.”
The battleship took off without a hint of sensation—but Zuo Dao knew they were already airborne. The others, including Three Women, were very interested in the ship, exploring it with curiosity and occasionally gasping in amazement.
“Hey, it’s actually Fire Refinement Essence.”
“No way, there’s even Sky Stone.”
“What? They even used Great Luo Golden Body! How extravagant.”
These people had never seen such a large flying apparatus before, especially one made with such top-notch craftsmanship and materials. Watching the recruits wander around the ship while listening to their exclamations filled the air with excitement.
"Back then, we came here the same way," Jiang Yuqi said with a hint of nostalgia. "But very few of those who entered the mansion together are still around."
"Alright, stop reminiscing. You might scare Zuo Dao," Snow Red Swallow scolded.
"Scare him? I think we would be the ones scared to death. This kid is full of energy, aren't you, Daozi?" Jiang Yuqi's voice grew louder, and by the end, Zuo Dao could barely hear her. It was only when he looked at Snow Red Swallow that he understood why.
"Enough of this madness. Let's talk about your matters with Supreme Academy. Come sit down," Snow Red Swallow beckoned Zuo Dao to join her.
As soon as the others on the ship heard they were going to learn about Supreme Academy, they quickly stopped what they were doing and gathered around. Snow Red Swallow didn't mind; after all, it was information they all needed to know.
Once they finished listening to Snow Red Swallow's explanation, Zuo Dao and the others learned that Supreme Academy existed in another space, unreachable by ordinary Teleportation Arrays. Only ships like theirs could get there.
The main reason was due to the position of that space. Teleportation Arrays could reach it, but during Teleportation, one could easily get lost due to spatial storms. Another reason was that without reaching a certain Realm for void traversal, one could easily be torn apart. Even Jiang Yuqi wouldn't dare to navigate this path alone.
This only heightened everyone's anticipation for arriving at Supreme Academy.
Throughout the journey, everyone became more familiar with each other and learned most of the important things to note about Supreme Academy. After several days of sailing, they finally reached their destination—Supreme Academy.
As everyone disembarked from the ship, they were all stunned by the sight before them!
