Xunuo turned his gaze towards the entrance of the grand hall, drawn by the sound. It turned out that within this brief moment, a Liu Family Practitioner had found his way to the hall. However, there was only one person; it seemed that the Liu Family's Foundation Establishment Ancestor had scattered the clan's disciples to search for the one who first entered this mountain peak. Little did they know that this person was Gu Weitian. If they were aware that the Cultivator on this peak was Gu Weitian, they would likely consider both treasure hunting and eliminating Gu Weitian equally important tasks.

Caught off guard by the sudden ambush, he was startled and unleashed his Flame Shield to protect himself. The Liu Family Practitioner panicked, striking his abdomen fiercely with both hands to ignite his Dantian, unleashing a fierce flame that swept outward from within him, causing a violent clash between Cold Flame and True Essence Magic inside his body.
Cold Ice let out a cold laugh and crossed his hands to strike three palms in succession. Instantly, the Liu Family Practitioner emitted a desperate scream; his magical power could not circulate smoothly, and in an instant, his body stiffened as a layer of Thin Ice appeared on his surface. As this Thin Ice formed, the Flame Shield around him trembled a few times before shattering completely. The eerie cold wave then extinguished the magical flames ignited by the Liu Family Practitioner without hesitation, turning him into an ice figure covered in several inches of ice. The expression on his face still bore an intense fear from when he was alive, as if even his Divine Sense had been frozen.
At that moment, Cold Ice emerged from the formation and stepped forward to stand before the ice figure. He glanced at it expressionlessly before suddenly swinging his arm down onto it. The ice figure emitted a sharp, crisp sound as it shattered into countless pieces like porcelain.
Xunuo turned just in time to witness this astonishing scene. He looked at Cold Ice in surprise, not expecting such ferocity from him. However, Xunuo had no time to ponder Cold Ice's methods; despite his many questions about it, Cold Ice's overwhelming strength was beneficial for him to focus on breaking the restriction. With a wave of his hands, Cold Ice made all the shattered ice fragments disappear and then blurred for a moment before vanishing back into the formation.
Xunuo turned back and flicked his finger at the Crimson Fire Whip. The whip snapped against the rapidly spinning Gyroscope and quickly wrapped around it. Almost simultaneously, it became completely entangled. However, one end of the Crimson Fire Whip seemed nailed in midair; at that moment when the Gyroscope finished wrapping around it, there was a loud "bang," and it was forcefully immobilized. The Purple Scales on the surface of the Gyroscope flew up with a "whoosh," transforming into countless Purple Scale Flying Blades that sliced toward the Blood-red Light Shield like a swarm of locusts. Although these scale blades were individually weaker than Flame Forks or golden flying blades, their terrifying numbers compensated for their lack of power. The dense barrage of Purple Scale Flying Blades caused the Blood-red Light Shield to tremble violently; moments later, as they dispersed, the shield dimmed noticeably.
Xunuo nodded in satisfaction; it seemed this method was effective against Restrictions, and breaking through was promising. However, he noted that using such methods consumed vast amounts of magical power and wondered if he could sustain enough energy until he broke through. Then Xunuo raised one hand flatly and pushed forward. A fireball about the size of a fist instantly struck against the blood-colored barrier with a sizzling sound; although there were no visible ripples on the barrier's surface, it clearly dimmed further.
Xunuo summoned various magical artifacts and spells to find an effective tool for breaking through restrictions; having already reached some conclusions meant he would naturally use his most powerful methods.
In fact, Xunuo also considered Thunder Law as an excellent option for breaking restrictions; however, ever since he tempered his body with Extraordinary Fire, his Yimu Qinglei Method had significantly weakened, making him reluctant to showcase it.

However, not long after, Xunuo found himself needing to shift focus once again. Another Liu Family Practitioner had arrived at this grand hall—this time two Eleventh Layer Grandmasters came together. This was not surprising; anyone entering Yin Sha Mountain Valley would be above Foundation Stage Level Ten; those daring enough to enter were certainly among their families' elite members. These two were much more cautious than the first reckless intruder; not only did they activate their Magic Shields to maximum strength but each also summoned a Defensive Artifact in preparation for any unforeseen circumstances. They slowly approached the grand hall one after another while moving closer to Xunuo's formation.
Xunuo had no choice but to pause his actions and rely solely on the trapping formation to wear down Blood-red Light Shield further. In truth, Xunuo's formation did little more than prevent Blood-red Light Shield from recovering fully; despite these two Liu Family Practitioners being exceptionally cautious, under Xunuo's control, this formation still exhibited powerful shielding and illusion capabilities. If they lured Liu Family's Foundation Establishment Ancestor here, Xunuo would have no time to break the formation.
Xunuo quickly waved the Formation Flag, trapping one of the intruders while simultaneously activating the Heavenly Shadow Spike for a decisive strike against the Cultivator outside the array. His judgment and reaction were swift enough, but they were still not as decisive as Cold Ice's. In that instant when Xunuo moved the Formation Flag, a strange wave of magical energy immobilized the Cultivator outside. The practitioner struggled desperately to break free from this chilling force, but his Divine Sense felt uncontrollable and could not be summoned at all. Suddenly, six Apex Artifacts appeared before him; this Liu Family Practitioner could only watch in horror as they pierced toward him, unable to resist. In an instant, darkness enveloped him as he lost consciousness.
As this Liu Family Practitioner fell, in a vast palace, the Liu Family Ancestor abruptly turned his head to one side, eyes gleaming with fury as he roared, "You little thief who has slain three of my juniors finally reveals your true self! Prepare to die!" With that, he clenched his fists and rushed out of the palace.
Having slain the Cultivator outside the formation, Xunuo immediately turned back and unleashed Hellfire Spell to continue attacking the Blood-red Light Shield. The Cultivator trapped inside would be left to Cold Ice; breaking the formation was now the priority. After only a few strikes, Xunuo's face turned pale as he glanced toward the entrance of the hall—Liu Family's Foundation Establishment Ancestor had finally arrived.
It was only a matter of time before he was found out; however, being discovered later meant a sliver more of Vitality. Since their opponent had arrived, Xunuo could only find ways to delay breaking the array and buy himself some time to escape. Cold Ice's expression also became extremely unnatural; it was rare for him to show any change in demeanor, and this indicated great inner turmoil. While he had no fear facing a Foundation Stage Practitioner—even as just a Soul Body—he had sufficient means to counter once his spirit regained strength. However, facing a Foundation Stage Cultivator made Cold Ice shake his head in resignation; it was a desperate fight—would there even be a life left to fight for?
As Liu Family's Foundation Establishment Ancestor reached the entrance of the hall, he waved his hand and unleashed a Spell. A massive wind blade instantly struck against the Defensive Array at the hall's entrance, causing it to ripple and reveal its true form. The Ancestor probed with his Divine Sense into the array and was immediately hit by the stench of blood from the fallen Liu Family Practitioner. With an enraged roar that echoed into the heavens, even Xunuo felt as if his eardrums might shatter.
Ignoring the pain from that thunderous shout that made his head throb painfully, Xunuo quickly retracted his Crimson Fire Whip and Purple Flame Shield while continuing to unleash Hellfire Spell against the Blood-red Light Shield. Channeling his magic further summoned Six Heavenly Shadow Darts which glowed with eerie blue light; they were clearly meant to merge into one and unleash their hidden properties. Xunuo knew well that the Defensive Array at the entrance could not hold back Liu Family's Foundation Establishment Ancestor. Based on how quickly they had broken through another formation earlier on their way up the mountain, it wouldn’t take long for this array to fall.
With this array still in place, it could shield him from Divine Sense; thus Xunuo had a chance to trigger Heavenly Shadow Spike’s hidden properties unexpectedly and catch him off guard. Even if his defensive measures were slightly lacking, it could potentially turn the tide of battle.
However, Xunuo dared not let down his guard easily while attacking Restriction Blue Shield; if he failed to inflict serious damage on his opponent with one strike, he would still have to rely on legendary repulsion forces to escape. Hellfire Spell lacked much of the power compared to combining Crimson Fire Whip with Purple Flame Shield but required significantly less magical energy. Currently, if Xunuo wanted to activate Heavenly Shadow Spike’s hidden properties effectively, he would have to temporarily abandon using Crimson Fire Whip and Purple Flame Shield for breaking through.
