Moments later, Xunuo solemnly unfolded a Beast Skin. This was obtained from Ni Bingmo, a scroll that recorded the Spell Stunning Spirit. Xunuo had long coveted this Spell but had never felt confident enough to comprehend it. He believed that with sharp magical tools and Spells at hand, he need not waste too much time and energy on this. Of course, the main reason was that Xunuo had no confidence in his ability to grasp it. However, ever since the trip to Three Star Underground City, Xunuo had gained a new understanding of the Divine Consciousness Technique. Not only did he greatly admire its effects, but having experienced cultivating and activating the Divine Consciousness Technique, he also developed a glimmer of confidence in comprehending the Stunning Spirit Spell. 0

Comprehending the Stunning Spirit Spell became a primary task alongside cultivating Bloodstorm Gale and Hellfire while recovering his magical power. With a clear plan for his recent cultivation direction, Xunuo felt a sense of relief as he stepped into the Spirit Domain of the Boundary Stone. He hadn't tended to his Herb Garden in a long time and sighed helplessly, feeling a bit nostalgic. 0

In a few flashes, Xunuo appeared above the Herb Garden. This was not due to a Spell but rather a Flying Talisman. Low-level Flying Talismans were overflowing in Xunuo's storage bag. At his current level of combat, these talismans were utterly useless; even if he threw out numerous talismans simultaneously to hinder an enemy, he would still use intermediate ones, as otherwise they would have no effect. This was also due to the increasingly powerful enemies Xunuo faced. 0

Hovering above the Herb Garden, Xunuo felt as if his heart was bleeding. The once lush Herb Garden had become desolate after years of neglect. Spiritual herbs could be categorized based on their growth duration: some could grow indefinitely. For these herbs, once their medicinal effects reached a certain age, they would no longer increase in potency regardless of how much older they got. Others would continuously grow in potency based on their age and could enter different levels of Formulas. Some spiritual herbs might even develop Intelligence under fortunate circumstances, becoming sentient plants. The characteristic of such herbs was that they would not wither without reason; their Vitality was endless. 0

The other category of spiritual herbs was different. If these herbs bore fruit for medicinal use, they might drop their fruits without dying off completely and could continue to grow and bear fruit again. However, most of them were used for their main body. These types of herbs had a limited growth period; once they matured, they would die rapidly. If harvested in time and preserved properly, they could be safe; however, Xunuo had no time to tend to the Herb Garden. Even when he came in once, it was only to hurriedly plant a few newly acquired spiritual herbs without any time to spare for further inspection. If these herbs were not harvested in time, they would wither away and turn into soil, becoming nutrients for other plants. 0

Now in the Herb Garden, the spiritual herbs were sparse; countless fruits lay on the ground turned to mud, while some seeds had fallen and taken root, growing into new plants. Overall, the Herb Garden resembled a wasteland—chaotic beyond measure. Although Xunuo had anticipated some neglect due to lack of management, seeing the desolate scene before him still pained him deeply. This was something he had painstakingly cultivated over more than ten years. 0

The area was vast but with over half of the medicinal materials gone; Xunuo first collected the mature fruits that had not yet fallen to the ground. The remaining spiritual herbs were those that could grow indefinitely; thus, he left them untouched for now and instead focused on moving his storage bag with his mind. However, at that moment, the repulsive force of the Spirit Domain suddenly surged forth, and in the next instant, Xunuo found himself in the Starlight Arena at the Boundary Stone. 0

Xunuo sat down on the spot and recalled a sudden thought that had just emerged. This idea stemmed from the desolation of his Herb Garden; since he could not linger long in the Spirit Domain—where any living being was repelled—if he could isolate this aura, wouldn’t it allow him to stay longer? The moment this thought arose, Xunuo felt an overwhelming excitement because he already possessed a Defensive Array that could be used for this experiment. Containing his excitement, Xunuo began to carefully consider the feasibility of this idea and its details. 0

Once again entering the Spirit Domain, Xunuo went directly above the spiritual spring—the center around which his Herb Garden was developed. His body swayed as he precisely inserted Formation Flags into their designated positions within the array. After shaking the Main Array Flag once more, the entire Herb Garden was completely covered by the array. Instead of embedding spirit stones into the Formation Flags, Xunuo drew out seven streams from the spiritual spring that flowed slowly and delicately into each Formation Flag. Harnessing the power of these springs allowed him to maintain and stabilize the array's effectiveness over time. As a shimmering light enveloped him, this section of Herb Garden transformed into towering trees intertwined with an entire forest. 0

This time around, Xunuo activated the shielding effect of the array while sacrificing its defensive capabilities because avoiding detection by Spirit Domain's repulsive force was crucial for staying here long-term—something this Defensive Array could not achieve alone. Sitting motionless on Spring Edge, Xunuo silently calculated time with his fingers. 0

At one moment, joy finally appeared on Xunuo's face as he realized he had surpassed previous durations of repulsion. This meant that his plan was feasible; next he needed to calculate how long this effect could last and whether he could truly remain here for an extended period. Eventually, when repulsive force came crashing down upon him again, Xunuo found himself instantly transported back to Starlight Arena. The duration had doubled compared to before; this result thrilled him immensely. He wasn't worried about whether this experiment's extended duration would be short; rather he feared that his method might be flawed or that his reasoning was incorrect. With correct reasoning in place, Xunuo believed there were ways to further extend his stay within Spirit Domain. 0

Xunuo found that this method had infinite potential for someone skilled in formations like himself. He even contemplated whether he could cultivate within the Spirit Domain. However, he soon chuckled to himself; while the idea was promising, he needed to exit the Boundary Space to continue his experiments. During this time of hiding, he could only further refine his thoughts, perhaps even conceptualize a formation with enhanced shielding capabilities. Actual implementation would have to wait until he regained his freedom. 0

Afterward, Xunuo set aside his personal distractions and focused intently on cultivating his Spell. The more thoroughly he consumed his magical energy, the slower its recovery became, but each instance of refinement made it more resilient. Thus, Xunuo aimed to exhaust his magical energy completely. Yet, another unexpected event soon unfolded. Just as Xunuo's magical energy was nearly depleted and he could hardly condense a Golden Wind Blade, he sensed unstable fluctuations emanating from the Boundary Stone's Starlight Arena. Alarmed, Xunuo quickly retrieved a spirit stone to replenish some magical energy, and just like that, the fluctuations vanished as if they had been mere illusions. 0

After pondering for a moment, Xunuo realized that the disturbances had not originated from the Boundary Space but from himself. The Spirit Domain repelled all living beings, while the Starlight Arena rejected those without magical power. The fluctuations were likely a precursor to being displaced. Of course, this was merely Xunuo's speculation, but he felt both curious and compelled to verify it. He promptly activated the Huayang Classic to gradually restore his magical energy. 0

However, shortly after, Xunuo found himself puzzled by another matter. This was not the first time he had sought refuge in the Boundary Space; the first time had been when he was pursued by the Six-Winged Scarlet Fire Ant King and had no choice but to hide there. During that instance, he remained in the Boundary Space for half a year without ceasing his cultivation. At that time, he relied on consuming Refining Elixirs to enhance his abilities, so he did not experience this confusion. This time, however, Xunuo was determined to temper his magical energy without relying on pills or spirit stones for recovery. Even upon entering the Boundary Space, he was operating the Huayang Classic to slowly recover his magical energy without taking shortcuts. Yet as his magical energy gradually returned, another question arose in Xunuo's mind: where did this magical energy come from? 0

The cultivation method of a cultivator serves as a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth Vitality with oneself; the source of magical energy comes from the True Essence dissipated throughout the world. In areas rich in vitality, cultivation or recovery of magical energy is swift; conversely, it is slow in barren lands. If a cultivation method defies nature, it can compensate for this disparity in speed or produce exceptionally potent magical energy. However, magical energy must have a source; this is indisputable—something cannot arise from nothing. 0

Xunuo pondered blankly for a moment while operating the Huayang Classic and fully extended his Divine Sense to silently search for the source of magical energy. Suddenly, at one moment, Xunuo looked up in shock at the endless void above him. It was Starlight. Cultivating with Starlight was a legendary method reserved for those whose Heaven and Earth Vitality was insufficient to enhance their own abilities. Xunuo did not know how profound this method was, but he understood that it was beyond his reach and necessity. Yet at that moment, Starlight not only descended but also flowed into him without obstruction, leaving Xunuo somewhat flustered. Should he stop or continue? After a brief consideration, Xunuo resolutely chose to continue cultivating. 0

Since he had come this far, why not embrace it? If powerful beings could employ such methods, why couldn't he try? Moreover, having entered this state made turning back meaningless; thus, he decided to see this path through to its end and assess the final outcome with great ambition. 0

Once Xunuo's magical energy fully recovered, he began cultivating the Spell Bloodstorm Gale again. This time while practicing the Spell, Xunuo closely monitored the dissipation of his magical energy and its connection with the Starlight Arena. Indeed, when his magical energy reached a certain limit, an almost imperceptible repulsive force suddenly emerged. Prepared for this eventuality, Xunuo quickly took out a Mid-Grade Spirit Stone and swiftly replenished some magical energy; immediately, the repulsive force dissipated. This experiment confirmed Xunuo's hypothesis: the Starlight Arena also possessed repelling properties—not against living beings but against those lacking magical power. It treated lifeless entities similarly to how it interacted with the Spirit Domain—ignoring them entirely. Feeling gratified by gaining further insight into some secrets of the Boundary Space, Xunuo smiled contentedly. 0
