Comprehending the Stunning Spirit Spell became a primary task alongside cultivating Bloodstorm Gale and Hellfire while recovering his magical power. With a clear plan for his recent cultivation direction, Xunuo felt a sense of relief as he stepped into the Spirit Domain of the Boundary Stone. He hadn't tended to his Herb Garden in a long time and sighed helplessly, feeling a bit nostalgic.

Xunuo sat down on the spot and recalled a sudden thought that had just emerged. This idea stemmed from the desolation of his Herb Garden; since he could not linger long in the Spirit Domain—where any living being was repelled—if he could isolate this aura, wouldn’t it allow him to stay longer? The moment this thought arose, Xunuo felt an overwhelming excitement because he already possessed a Defensive Array that could be used for this experiment. Containing his excitement, Xunuo began to carefully consider the feasibility of this idea and its details.
Once again entering the Spirit Domain, Xunuo went directly above the spiritual spring—the center around which his Herb Garden was developed. His body swayed as he precisely inserted Formation Flags into their designated positions within the array. After shaking the Main Array Flag once more, the entire Herb Garden was completely covered by the array. Instead of embedding spirit stones into the Formation Flags, Xunuo drew out seven streams from the spiritual spring that flowed slowly and delicately into each Formation Flag. Harnessing the power of these springs allowed him to maintain and stabilize the array's effectiveness over time. Afterward, Xunuo set aside his personal distractions and focused intently on cultivating his Spell. Just as Xunuo's magical energy was nearly depleted and he could hardly condense a Golden Wind Blade, he sensed unstable fluctuations emanating from the Boundary Stone's Starlight Arena. Alarmed, Xunuo quickly retrieved a spirit stone to replenish some magical energy, and just like that, the fluctuations vanished as if they had been mere illusions.
After pondering for a moment, Xunuo realized that the disturbances had not originated from the Boundary Space but from himself. The Spirit Domain repelled all living beings, while the Starlight Arena rejected those without magical power. The fluctuations were likely a precursor to being displaced. Of course, this was merely Xunuo's speculation, but he felt both curious and compelled to verify it. He promptly activated the Huayang Classic to gradually restore his magical energy.
However, shortly after, Xunuo found himself puzzled by another matter. This was not the first time he had sought refuge in the Boundary Space; the first time had been when he was pursued by the Six-Winged Scarlet Fire Ant King and had no choice but to hide there. During that instance, he remained in the Boundary Space for half a year without ceasing his cultivation. At that time, he relied on consuming Refining Elixirs to enhance his abilities, so he did not experience this confusion. This time, however, Xunuo was determined to temper his magical energy without relying on pills or spirit stones for recovery. Even upon entering the Boundary Space, he was operating the Huayang Classic to slowly recover his magical energy without taking shortcuts.
