Hiding behind two layers of defense, Thunderstorm was also shaken by the beam of light that pierced through the darkness.
However, even though curiosity made him restless, he did not dare to peek out for a glance. Not even his Divine Sense could be released from Mud Pill Palace; it remained firmly restrained.
Xunuo was currently in a critical stage of casting a spell, which was also the most challenging phase.
At this moment, the spell had been cast for the most part. Yet Xunuo, with both hands cradling a lotus, found himself unable to release it.
Sweat began to bead on Xunuo's forehead.
The Divine Sense attack was ready, and the spell was formed, but it could not be unleashed. Xunuo was uncertain of the consequences this would bring. However, the sensation from the Clear Lotus filled him with extreme unease.
Gritting his teeth, Xunuo poured all his Mind Power upward. At the same time, he turned his nearly numb hands in one direction.
Even with all his strength, the lotus formed by his palms only shifted slightly.
But this tiny movement of the lotus had an astonishing effect on the Azure Light Lotus.
As soon as Xunuo's palm lotus stirred ever so slightly, the Clear Light Lotus emitted a barely audible "pop." Then, this Azure Light Lotus vanished, and the wide passage returned to complete darkness.
Yet within the passage, a visible wave began to spread outward.
This wave touched everything without causing harm; it seemed devoid of any attacking capability. Nevertheless, it moved unimpeded, able to penetrate hundreds or even thousands of feet of separation between two passages and reach its destination in an instant.
As the Azure Light Lotus disintegrated, two piercing screams echoed through the passage.
One of the sounds was made by Thunderstorm. When I looked at Thunderstorm again, he was already as straight as a shrimp, lying on his side on the ground with a pale face. His body was trembling like a rocker, and his eyes were slightly open, but only the whites of his eyes were turned up. And Azure Void Earth Hammer and Bone Beast are still standing in front of Thunderstorm without any damage. Thunderstorm has done enough defense. Also be mentally prepared to be unable to defend yourself and be attacked by Divine Sense. But when things came to pass, the attack was so fierce and sudden that it was still called Thunderstorm and it was so painful. Thunderstorm only feels that its own Sea of Consciousness water seems to exist on a huge drum. Just at a certain moment, an equally huge drumstick struck the giant drum violently. Suddenly Sea of Consciousness collapsed, and the water of Sea of Consciousness spread to the sky like a goddess scattering flowers. The sudden, irresistible, overwhelming pain firmly occupied the Sea of Consciousness in Thunderstorm. I can't think in my mind or even control my body. Except for the pain, my mind went blank. At the same time as the two voices came out, the Six Heavenly Shadow Darts hanging upside down beside Xunuo disappeared in a flash. The next moment, something fell out of the void not far from the passage. This thing looks like a fox or a wolf, with gray fur. The body is less than two feet long, but its two big ears are round. The object seemed to have been severely injured, its body twisted, and it fell to the ground with a piercing scream. But before it reached the ground, Six Heavenly Shadow Darts penetrated it at the same time. The screams stopped suddenly, and when he looked again, he saw that the little beast was completely dead. Xunuo Stretched out his right arm, grabbed the little beast out of thin air, and held it upside down in his hand. As soon as the screams of the little beast here stopped, shrill roars came from all over the passage. Xunuo The color was cold, and under the influence of mana, the surrounding Six Heavenly Shadow Darts scattered and exploded. Suddenly plunged into darkness.
Xunuo closed his eyes, recovering his Divine Sense. The Sea Collapse Spell he had just unleashed had taken a toll on him as well. It wasn't that he was affected by the spell itself, but rather the immense energy required to cast it, especially in terms of Divine Sense.
Several dozen miles away, in a passageway, the Three Cultivators who had confronted Xunuo were facing a grave danger.
Two nearly corporeal Yin Soul Beasts blocked the passage, one in front and one behind the Three Cultivators.
One of the Yin Soul Beasts took the form of a Black Kirin, nearly ten feet long. Its three-foot-long horns glowed with a dark red light. Its eyes, as large as copper bells, gleamed with ferocity as they fixed on the Three Cultivators, seemingly ready to pounce at any moment.
The Black Kirin was covered in shiny black scales, and around its body swirled a mass of Black Flame, enveloping it entirely.
The other Yin Soul Beast manifested as a Giant Bat. With wings spread wide, it obscured nearly half of the passageway. It hung there ominously, its bulging eyes devoid of life as it stared at the Three Cultivators. Its lips curled back to reveal sharp teeth, emitting an unsettling sound.
The realistic forms of these two Yin Soul Beasts indicated that they were close to the cultivation level of human Foundation Stage Cultivators, surpassing even those at the Eleven Layers Peak.
In this Yin Qi-laden environment, their power was even more pronounced.
The Three Cultivators clearly understood the threat posed by the two Yin Soul Beasts. They exchanged pale glances before splitting up to confront them.
Surprisingly, among them, the Elder with the lowest realm of magic power chose to face the seemingly more threatening Black Kirin alone.
In contrast to his companions who approached with trepidation as if walking on thin ice, he appeared much calmer.
As he advanced toward the Black Kirin, the Elder shook his arms, and two magical artifacts leaped into action. A half-foot-tall Triangular Black Banner fluttered in the wind and transformed into a giant flag ten feet long, hovering above the Elder's head. The Triangular Banner moved in unison with him as if they were one entity.
The other artifact was a bronze cymbal-like object tinged with red, measuring only five feet across. It spun rapidly, emitting a wailing sound as it sliced toward the Black Kirin.
Black Kirin had long regarded these individuals as mere prey, delectable morsels on a platter. Seeing Elder daring to strike first, it roared in furious indignation.
With that roar, a stream of purple lightning shot forth from Black Kirin's mouth. In a single blow, it sent Bronze Cymbal flying. The purple lightning continued its relentless assault towards Elder.
However, Elder showed no sign of fear; he merely paused for a moment. From the Triangular Banner, a substance resembling a Black Curtain was released. The purple lightning then struck with the force of a thousand pounds against it.
Incredibly, the purple lightning that had just sent the Bronze Cymbal flying did not display its overwhelming power upon contact with the Black Curtain. Instead, there was a sound like "snap," and the energy spread outwards along the Black Curtain, dissipating almost instantly.
Black Kirin was clearly baffled and extremely enraged by its failure to land a successful hit. In this environment, it could easily clear out any members of the small team of Human Clan Cultivators on its own.
When facing a single Cultivator, instant annihilation was the only choice. To have one Cultivator so easily withstand its attack filled Black Kirin with intense fury.
But before Black Kirin could express its dissatisfaction, the Bronze Cymbals Artifact had already slashed towards in front of once more.
Caught off guard, Black Kirin did not show much panic. Lowering its head towards Bronze Cymbal, it deflected the attack with a resounding "clang." Not a scratch was left on the horn protruding from its head.
Seeing this, Elder furrowed his brow slightly. It was evident that such a solid specter could not be easily slain by an ordinary artifact.
However, Elder was quite confident in the defensive capabilities of his Triangular Black Banner. Given the current situation, it seemed that this battle would not conclude anytime soon, which was what truly worried him.
At that moment, a loud crash from behind forced Elder to turn around and take a look.
Another battle had reached a fever pitch. Two Cultivators, each summoned a shield-like artifact outside their bodies.
Additionally, a high-cheekboned Ghostly Cultivator had summoned a Water Attribute Flying Sword Artifact. Meanwhile, the somewhat foolish-looking Black-Faced Cultivator wielded a massive axe. Both artifacts struck towards the Giant Bat, but were skillfully evaded by the shadows of the Giant Bat Specter.
As the Giant Bat flapped its enormous wings, a chilling wind mixed with icy blades swept toward the two cultivators. The force struck against their shield-like artifact, causing their faces to flush and sweat to pour down their backs. Although the icy blades lacked raw power, they were capable of corroding the artifact.
The two cultivators dared not risk damaging their artifact and poured all their magical energy into it, forcing the Chill of Darkness back out. However, while contending with this pervasive cold force, they found themselves in a desperate situation.
Yet, these cultivators were no ordinary individuals. In a moment, they assessed the battlefield. The Ghostly Cultivator made the first decision. The Flying Sword Artifact reversed its course, hovering above him in silence. At the same time, he chanted incantations and pushed his hands forward.
The surface of the shield-like artifact before the Ghostly Cultivator crackled with blue lightning, instantly shattering the corrosive cold force. However, he did not stop there; instead, he infused even more potent magical energy into it.
In the next moment, dozens of blue lightning bolts illuminated the passageway brightly as they surged toward the Giant Bat. Even with its unparalleled evasion techniques, the Giant Bat could not escape this dense barrage of lightning.
After a piercing shriek, the Giant Bat folded its wings protectively around itself. The purple lightning clearly struck true, leaving numerous wounds on its wings and releasing a foul odor reminiscent of burnt leather.
After taking that hit, the Giant Bat shook its wings and seemed to recover as if it had sustained little damage. However, it now regarded the Ghostly Cultivator with caution. With a flicker of its form, it distanced itself from him. Folding its wings together, it unleashed a gust of cold wind directly toward the Silly Cultivator.
The Silly Cultivator realized that his artifact could not withstand this more powerful cold wind and icy blades. Nevertheless, he had prepared a countermeasure during the brief respite and activated his Spell.
With a sudden motion, he spread his palms apart. A crimson fireball appeared abruptly in front of the cold wind and icy blades. The next moment was marked by a thunderous explosion that echoed through the air.
