"Don't be foolish. If they were all Soul Nurturing Pearls, I would have collected them long ago," the old voice replied. "The rest are merely Soulwood, which is of no use to me. They can only suppress low-level Yin Spirits and Ghostly Entities and Illusions; they aren't very useful."
Xunuo's face flushed with embarrassment, and he retorted angrily, "I bought those pearls with my money, yet you monopolize them. That's too domineering!"
Killing Blade shook slightly, "Idiot, keeping them in your Sea of Consciousness is naturally the most beneficial for you. Stop complaining here."
Xunuo had nothing to say in response. Killing Blade was right; the Soul Nurturing Pearl was best for nourishing the soul and resisting evil Ghostly Entities. Storing it in the Sea of Consciousness was indeed the safest and most effective option. Knowing he had gained a significant advantage, Xunuo dared not reproach Killing Blade further.
However, seeing that Killing Blade could easily select the Soul Nurturing Pearl from a string of Soul Pearls made Xunuo realize that this entity must possess extraordinary knowledge. After trying to engage in conversation for a while and seeing Killing Blade fall silent again, Xunuo could only leave in frustration.

But as they delved deeper underground, these Yin spirits and ghostly entities became more solid and powerful. Yet unwilling to simply watch as the purest spiritual veins went unused, the Three Major Sects devised a self-serving plan: they offered bounties for loose cultivators to develop the Three Star Underground City. Xunuo's black ring provided him with many conveniences in Three Star City. However, upon entering the Three Star Underground City, he could only access the first level. Each subsequent level of the Underground City required corresponding ring permissions.
There was only one entrance to the Three Star Underground City. Once inside, Xunuo felt an overwhelming surge of spiritual energy wash over him. The spiritual energy in the air rushed into him like water soaking into a sponge. Xunuo took a deep breath, feeling refreshed.
The level where Xunuo's Cave was located was divided into five areas, branching off from five different paths. Following the path marked with "Area Three," Xunuo walked deeper inside. The stone walls of the passage were dotted with luminescent stones, preventing it from being too dim. Soon, more paths appeared ahead, each marked with directions to various Caves.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, Xunuo finally reached a junction where he saw signs for Cave 3800 to 3900. Following this path led him to Cave 3862—his own.
Xunuo infused a bit of mana into his ring, causing the Cave door to tremble slightly before opening. This Cave had two sections: an outer room that was about ten feet wide and an inner room that was only seven or eight steps wide. Inside were a stone bed, a stone table, and several stone stools; the room felt full despite its small size. The outer room was comparatively spacious and empty, clearly intended for cultivating mana and practicing spells.
The spiritual energy within the Cave surpassed that of the passageway. Xunuo nodded in satisfaction as he closed the Cave and set up a Defensive Array before contemplating his cultivation direction.
