Xunuo had some experience, but the first time he laid eyes on this creature, a chill ran down his spine, and he broke out in a cold sweat.
However, this was not the end. The creature raised its arms, and two massive pincers emerged from its sleeves. Suddenly, its robes burst apart to reveal a gigantic scorpion. Immediately after, the tail emitted a beam of purple-black light, and Xunuo felt as if he had been struck by a giant hammer, sending him hurtling backward. He crashed through several large trees before being embedded into a broken wall over a foot deep. Even encased in his Armor Artifact, Xunuo felt his blood surge violently, spitting out mouthfuls of blood.
The Giant Scorpion did not pursue further attacks after knocking Xunuo away. Instead, it opened its mandibles and emitted a series of strange clicking sounds. Five beetles nearby seemed confused upon hearing this sound. Moments later, they abandoned their struggle with the Heavenly Shadow Spike and flew toward the Giant Scorpion. The Giant Crab then snapped one of the beetles with its pincers and stuffed it into its cross-shaped mouth to chew.
The other four beetles immediately surrounded the Giant Scorpion, screeching in protest. However, they seemed deeply intimidated and dared not attack or flee easily. The Giant Scorpion mercilessly grabbed each of these beetles one by one and devoured them. Meanwhile, its aura surged even faster, eventually reaching the Foundation Establishment Stage.
Xunuo extricated himself from the wall and waved his Formation Flag as he hurriedly fled outside the formation. Only then did the Giant Crab lift its gaze toward Xunuo outside the formation. Xunuo then urged his Flying Sword to strike directly at it while simultaneously activating four remaining Heavenly Shadow Spikes to form a line that spun rapidly toward its tail.
The Flying Sword Artifact surpassed the Heavenly Shadow Spike in speed, making it difficult for the Giant Scorpion to seize it. The simultaneous strike from all four Heavenly Shadow Spikes landed effectively, causing pain to the Giant Scorpion. Seizing this opportunity, Xunuo retrieved one of his Heavenly Shadow Spikes.
However, during this exchange, Xunuo noticed that this incarnation of the Giant Scorpion seemed significantly less intelligent; it reacted almost purely on instinct. Its Flying Sword hung aimlessly in mid-air as if abandoned.
In an instant, Xunuo devised a new strategy. As both Heavenly Shadow Spike and Flying Sword launched simultaneously, he flicked his wrist and sent out a Dan Lei.
Having suffered from one of Xunuo's Heavenly Shadow Spikes earlier, the Giant Scorpion now showed some caution toward them. However, this did not mean that the Giant Scorpion was dead. Its headless body continued thrashing about wildly as its tail lashed back and forth, releasing beams of purple-black light while its massive pincers flailed aimlessly.
When it came to kicking a dog when it's down, Xunuo showed no mercy. The Five Shadow Needles shot up and pierced through the Giant Crab's head wound, stirring violently until the creature was completely slain.
This battle had taken too long, and Xunuo felt increasingly uneasy. However, within the formation, Wu Jiadi, the mastermind behind it all, was hiding in a corner. As soon as he saw the Spotted Practitioner transform, he went invisible to evade detection.
Regret flooded his mind. He had originally hoped to betray Xunuo in exchange for a chance to enter the Insect Path.
For years, he had been lurking around Crimson Flame Mountain and the Song Family, gathering information about Xunuo. He never expected this seemingly unremarkable youth to be so ruthless and resourceful. Now that Xunuo had killed a Cultivator from the Insect Path, Wu Jiadi knew that as a traitor, he would not escape unscathed. Even if Xunuo chose not to kill him, the Insect Path would certainly hunt him down.

A day later, in a deep mountain cave, Xunuo sat cross-legged on the ground. Before him lay two Porcelain Bottles. After calming his mind slightly, he opened one of the bottles. A pill flew out and landed in his mouth. Closing his eyes, Xunuo entered a meditative state.
From the outside, this place appeared to be just another dense forest with no signs of a cave being carved out. This was because Xunuo had set up a Defensive Array that completely concealed this high mountain.
Xunuo had come here to carve out a temporary cave for seclusion and cultivation due to the overwhelming killing intent he felt when facing Wu Jiadi; it had unexpectedly triggered signs of a breakthrough. Xunuo shook his head slightly and sighed, "I only refined these two; I have no extras."

Xunuo shook his head and said, "I have just escaped from Chaotic Valley and have not yet made a decision."
